If Elsbury is at right guard, it means that defensive linemen will not have to take a step to the left before having a straight line to Brown.

We're already there bro.

Yup, we're already leading the league in sacks allowed so it's not as if that was a strong point of ours

Very talented ...I think Zack will be getting on his horse A LOT....I hope his escape ability is better than we've seen this year .....Big ask I know

zachs horse needs a walker these days

I'm not looking forward to December when they announce Zach is back for 2027.

Sad fact, Harrison Frost has more TD passes than Zach. So does Jake Maier.

I believe that it is time for Zach to go, but this stat speaks as much to the efficiency of the offence, (and defence, I guess) as it is a reflection of Zach's play.

Zach hasn’t had a very good to great season since 23 either though.

In the CJOB pre game, Our Man Tait seemed to suggest in the pre game that Zach's comment about wanting to play next year may be something of a bluff...

interesting. milt has seemed pretty sure this was zachs last year this whole time.

I hope it’s true

If true, what would ZC’s motive be to bluff? To piss MBB?

Probably to remove some focus off of him being in his last year on the rest of this one.

I think our playoff hopes really come down to the Calgary-BC game next week.

If BC loses we need to beat one of them or Edmonton….and both of those games would be home playoff game clinchers for the home team. Our game with Edmonton is the day before the BC game so BC losing won’t be known yet.

If we win, we clinch a playoff spot. If Edmonton wins, wouldn’t they clinch 1st place?

So would BC rest a bunch of starters when we play them the following week since the game is meaningless for them.

This is the exact explanation given by Tait.

Maybe to better negotiate a severance package.

Further to Zach's future... Ed said something to the effect of "he'll likely have TV offers and coaching, either QB Coach and possibly even OC for next year..." which struck me as interesting. I thought TV was a for sure, and didn't think coaching was in the plans. Would be VERY interesting to me if he was interested in following the same path as Buck...

You thought I was out to lunch when I suggested last week, that he might go into coaching.

BC still has to clinch a home playoff game. They do it next week by beating Calgary which would also clinch our playoff spot with us needing to do nothing.

If BC loses that game and Sask wins one half of the back to back with Montreal it will all come down to BC’s final game with us.

The way Zach was talking post game sure made it seem like that could have been his last game at home.

Collaros is now 2nd in the league completion percentage wise somehow on passes 20+ yards down field among qualified QBs. 24/51 puts him only behind Rourke who is 33/60... And Collaros actually has an extra TD on those throws compared to him.

In all honesty, even tho I have like many have bemoaned a lot of his play the last couple yrs, if we can actually get an O.C who isn't a doofus, shore up the Oline a bit and have game plans and schemes set to provide more of what we saw last game, and if ZC wants to still play, I wouldn't be opposed to him being brought back ....BUT and its a big but only if he is back maxed out at 400k....And preferably any bonus..or bulk of it being from winning the QB1 spot outta camp after a legit open competition

No other QB is gonna be available to us other than what we currently have, and any that may be isn't really gonna vault past any returnees either

Surround him...with best team (earned spots that is) and have at er...His experience and what he saw, and adjusted at L.O.S for last game alone is valuable...and was key in that win...Gotta give props where they are due.

If he is healthy...has the fire...and comes in 200k cheaper....with right supporting cast (players and coaches) its got potential, and allows for development of either or both of Perkins and TE to not be forced...Not sure if Brown is gonna be here...as he is a FA correct? I see him as a stop gap at best, and realistically cant see him as "the man" for next 5...6 yrs
