Some interesting Olineman on that list (Broxton and Allen for example). Emilus, Philpot and AJ Allen are all exciting but likely pipe dreams. Anybody want to name an under the radar target?

He’s not under the radar, although 3Down only had him ranked 33rd on their fa list, but I’d love to see Keesean Johnson here. Decent size and is always open. 1,900 yards in 28 CFL games.

Clarke Barnes is another receiver I’d like. Would be a big upgrade as our 2nd Cdn rec.

Anyone got KW's email?  Need to send him this so he can start a shopping list. 😂

definitely a lot of interesting players on this list... but I won't get too excited about anyone until we see what the actual list is going to look like in Feb... 75% of these guys will be resigned or have NFL opportunities...

There isn't a lot of CFL opinion that's worth reading. Tait is good, although only for one team. Costabile on cfl.ca is decent, but the rest of that site is slim pickings. The only other writer who comes to mind is Zurkowsky in Montreal.

On X, Bob Irving practically begged Herb Zurkowsky to get to the Grey Cup. He said he needed to "find a way", I believe. Also, Ed Tait posted that Herb could stay with him for free. Just get to the Grey Cup. Zurkowski declined. The Montreal Gazette refused to send him to the Grey Cup even though he's the beat writer for the Alouettes.

I posted a few guys on the other thread, woodmansey at C would be a huge help to the ol too. It’s a great fa crop, but we will see how many actually hit the market.

For under the radar guys, we went after moncrief hard a couple times in the past. Giving sanders a chance to start and make bigger bucks could be a sleeper move for us too. Could play in 30/40 alignments and has been very good rotationally. We don’t need him, but darkangelo is the most mos guy in free agency. Not based on any thing, but I think we go after tim white at wr. A reclamation project at dl like barlow or wakefield would be a solid value move too.

If this is indeed true, very bush league.

It's true. Oh, it's true. Postmedia doesn't send any beat writers for the Stamps on the road. I believe that's the same for every CFL team Postmedia covers. I've cancelled my subscription to the Calgary Herald. They don't want to spend any coin on the CFL well **** them. There isn't one story about the Stamps the day after when they publish when the Stamps have a road game.  Postmedia has destroyed journalism in this country. I refuse to spend any money on that fraudeulent media company.

The league could have sponsored him, like the Eskimos paid other teams to come to Edmonton for playoff games.

Yea exactly, oh Mr. Commissioner here's an easy fix to help grow the league ffs. The more professionally prepared people reporting on our game the better.

I doubt the league can afford to set that precedence. There'd be half a dozen hats extended, in 2026.

Well if that's their mindset that something like this would set a precedence (subsidizing professional beat writers to cover certain games (not everyone, they have to meet certain criteria) that they can't afford versus having the mindset that this would be wise investment to help grow the league is very short sighted.

That'd be an improvement since there's usually seven of them.
