Honestly Brady was great considering everybody in the stadium knew who was getting the ball on first down. He had some very tough runs against a good run defense.

Breaks my ******* heart... I know he's happy to have the win, but man... It's so easy to get him a 1 yard reception.

You know he's happy, how?

No I’d include our current QB situation with our starter injured as a huge problem.

More than OL? More than OC? More than receivers?

Nope equal straight across the board.

Yeah, it's right up there.

You know it was a good game by how quickly the 3 stars thread devolves into an "ugliest win ever" commentary.

My vote? 2015 season, week 16, they win on a last second FG by Castillo that doinked in off the upright.

I don't know how they can look at thia game and stick with Hogan calling the offense...

anyone who says that there's one weird trick to fix the O doesn't have a lot of credibility with me.  We've got an OL that can't keep a clean pocket, no clear WR1, a quarterback with happy feet and a bum knee, plus a rookie OC.  Any one of those factors can screw up a play; when you've got em all on the field at once, it's gonna be gross.

fire hogan, promote jackson. cut kola, replace with eli or wallace and put in vanterpool. hell see if vanterpool can snap to pistol. if zach isn’t gonna be close to 100%, and I don’t think he will be, trade for another back up. Start cycling wrs. shake em up a bit.

That might not get the O to where you would hope, certainly not to where you’d hope it would’ve been in the off season. But I think you see massive improvements. better than middle of the pack imo.

oc then qb, then ol then wr. and they all need to improve

on Hogan ... as much as the O smelled like the back of your college refrigerator ... when the chips were down in the fourth quarter we had two long drives for field goals and burned a bunch of clock.  Someone called the right plays for us to ice that game.   I'll admit that "give it to Brady when leading in the 4th quarter" isn't galaxy brained coaching but at least we didn't outsmart ourselves.

Demski missing his catch streak was a big bummer.  hilariously he did have one catch but it was for -11 yards and was wiped out by a Neuf holding penalty.

Something about being productive late in the 4th Q when the game isn't really close (last week or this week) that doesn't give me confidence.

He got jobbed by the accidental pi. Was open, throw was good. Should have been a big confidence inspiring play. Instead it was a 10 yard penalty

That one’s up there too, as is the 2021 west final, but after thinking about it, it’s gotta be today’s game.

I’ve can’t remember a CFL QB attempting only 8 passes or the winning team being out thrown by 350 yards.

3 of 8 for 54 yards regardless of how you look at it deserves an apple and a road map or maybe just the apple now but if people are being real, if that’s random qb from the past doing that, we demand he’s cut and then they would cut him. Take away what Streveler did 6 7 years ago cuz completely irrelevant today, he should be released. You know the argument could be made we lost last week cuz Streveler threw 2 awful interceptions. This week he only throws 8 times, 1 still a pick and we win and **** the OC. Last week it was **** the OC cuz he let him throw this week it’s **** OC cuz he didn’t. I’m not a hogan fan but it’s obvious he’s trying to make chicken salad out of chicken ****.

We won!!

brady tough

willie deflections and sack ended at least 3 drives

vaval. 2 games he’s won now

loved the defense.  If we can win with no passing at all and same play on 99% first downs, then maybe …

So Lapo said on the TV cast that they once won a game with Strev only throwing 11 times. By design. It's not pretty but it got the desired result.

imo, he had one good call all game. the qb counter. The 4th Q time killing drive was brady and the ol out working the cats front.

Well when you're starting a guy who has thrown 8 picks on his last 68 throws, I'd say yes.

I mean collaros is on pace to set career highs in interceptions this season too and he's been concussed 3 times already this season... not exactly high praise for all the rest of the offense right? And this is a guy not far removed from a perennial MOP contender.

I'm telling you, both qbs ate being handed a heaping helping of ****.

lapo must’ve been confused. neither 18 or 19. he didn’t have a game with 11 attempts or completions. 10/20 in the bjb with 2 picks in 19, but i think that was in relief. clearly not on purpose to only complete 10 either way. 9/15 in the finale but he didn’t play the whole game. 7/17 when he came in in relief in 19 and started his stretch.

The 19 stretch chris played he was attempting 25-40 passes a game. think lapo forgot that.

What lapo said was they won a game with 11 completions.

Zach is very far from being a perennial mop candidate. he was brutal all year last year too. he struggled down the stretch in 23 due to injury and has never been the same.

2 bad years starting as a qb is a whole career length for most guys at that position especially playing at that level.

Not with zach, chris, or nichols from 18 forward.

And none of the low completion games are high percentage so they weren’t according to plan.

did dru brown get more than the bomber qbs have gotten this year? No run game to speak of, poor ol with a ni G at tackle, sub par coaching etc.

No one is getting what zach got in 21. not even blm. Our qbs are getting a bad system, meh ol at times bad wr but average ish over all and the best back in the game. lots of guys are playing with this or worse.

That play where Lapo pointed out that Strev had a wide open guy (can't remember who) on the left side and he tucked tail and ran instead of finding him open was telling.  Like are we just going to run a wild cat all game, is that it?  Why even bother having receivers out there getting open if Strev won't look for them.  That TD would have sealed it, though in the end we didn't need it as Ottawa was sucking so hard it didn't matter.

You know how many times that happens in a game...to even the "great" qbs?

OL is a massive problem for both QBs. I don't know what plays Hogan is calling so I'm not gonna claim he's doing a bad job. Having said that... It LOOKS ugly... So if they just want to quietly shuffle things behind the scenes... Don't throw anyone under the bus... But Jackson takes control of the O with a lot of input from Zach.... I'd be good with that. Nobody has to know.

His schemes and his route creations...and where and how he layers them is garbage...where there is minimal options and many times multiple guys in same area...easy to defend...and easy to get recievers killed...as we seen today

Zero options for blitz beaters or quick passes...first game yr we had a lot of ball out quick passes..not now

ZC has thrown a Hella lot suicide and hospital balls too...and panics just as much in pocket with any sign of possible collapse...he usually throws a pick or gets sacked...at least Strev gets a yard or 2 on those

Or offense is so easy to scheme against and its pretty apparent minimal coaching is going on...and 14 games in..I have yet to see any adjustments to original gameplan....or to flow of game

Coaching I say again here...on several levels...fails us week in and out

And yup we won...despite it...

August 24, 2019, he was 7 of 17 for 89 yards. We won 34-28. He also rushed for 95 and a TD.
