3 turds plus cranky honker don’t say roster management edition

1 Defense. Every one up to Jy. We should kick in and buy these guys some KY at this rate

2 offence, every one but Demski and Brady. All of hogans hero’s

3  the whole mafia, for standing pat in the off season yet again.

crappy honker, how many tds can we possibly chuck to the wrong team? Going back to last year it’s truly impressive.

Honourable mentions, Brady Demski and Sergio.

Special shout out to the round mounds face down on the ground, kola and Thomas. Keep cashing those cheques boys, hard earned dollars.

Even though we are a salty bunch as of late, we *do* appreciate you taking the time to share with us DT - thank you!

I think a comeback was realistic until Holm wasn't able to cover the 2 receivers he was assigned. Do better next time Evan!

  • STOP GOING TO THE ******* GAMES THEN! Why you put the curse on them?

1. Willie Jefferson. He does nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Then he takes one of the most selfish stupid penalties I’ve seen with the blatant helmet to helmet hit. Bench him. He deserves to be benched. Time for accountability. Start there.

Did he play again after that cheap shot? If he did, that’s a bad decision by the coaches. Can’t have your vets running around trying to hurt guys at the end of a blowout. Really bad message to the rest of the team. &nbsp

Discipline has been a problem too often this season.

The tough guy routine from him is very tiresome.  Make a damn play, be aggressive at the line of scrimmage, getting after QB.  How many times a game does a RB blow right past him and he bricks his feet, maybe waves his arm as the guy goes by.

Would be a very easy message sending veteran cut IMO.

Wonder if MOS has that same loyalty dedication he’s earned it approach with WJ as he has for ZC, JT etc?

It would be. Except we have no depth.

Person, Adams, Ayers, dress Woodbey and have him play as a 3-4 style rush end.  Call back Webb or Brandon Wright.  Bring in someone that was cut somewhere else.

Really don't see any of these options being more useless than Jefferson has been so far this year.  A warm body with a moderate understanding of their assignment and a willingness to battle could not possibly be any worse.

Maybe he has something left to tap into.  Looks tapped out though.  Doesn't seem to have any drive to deal with some adversity.  Other teams are basically laughing in his face while going right at him which probably is leading to the frustration penalties.  My opinion, a guy like that you deal with when he's a good player, but on the downswing is toxic as ****.

Doesn't help that our other DE...is bringing nothing either...

Would of benched him BEFORE that penalty........he was just taking the tourist route, and occasionally waving his arms around.......

Case is bad. Why is a 5 foot 8 bad route runner someone we need in the lineup next week.  That being said there probably isn’t anyone better at the moment.

Sad to say, there were so many bigger issues than Case, out there.... last night

That’s true, but we could bring in most any imp fa de and they wouldn’t do worse. Wj gets torched soo bad in the run game it’s not even funny.

Yeah Willie is just completely done at this point.

I think he’s been good against the run, but nobody is generating any pressure.

The pick was way out in front of him and so was the drop. He was literally facing the qb hands out and dropped it. The pick he fell way before the balls location in flight. No turn or movement for either.

Calgary was literally cooling their heels in victory for his last returns. Vaval has had more good return games than case has had good returns, and far more worse returns and games last year. He was miserable in decision making trying to run side line to side line on every punt he didn’t muff.
Vavals longest kr was just short of 30 too.

Vaval needs a reset. Maybe one till next tc. But case is a mediocre band aid at best.

his best use is maybe 2nd kr, and a slot who runs slants and screens. He’s shifty but he’s soft small and makes bad decisions.

get the pitch forks n torches. We found the scape goat

yeah case is just an average run of the mill unspectacular guy...if thats our best "depth" piece we need some serious work...he did nothing to earn a spot....looked the same as last yr...and in 2 T.C's....hard pass

1.    3 pick 6's and an interception on the goal line.   Thats 28 points....in a two game series. Veteran QB's just can't do this stuff.

2.  Bonds is officially the opposition's go-to-guy in the secondary......get him the hell, out of there.

3.  Still running out dudes like Kola and Thomas....who simply can't get it done.

DHM

Willie Jefferson.....milk carton candidate

as much as many love T.Jones and Kramdi....neither are starter quality and have gapping holes in their game...thos are 2 prime examples of guys who would be top notch "depth" guys.....Too bad Osh doesnt see it that way...I'm not for getting rid of them but they arent starters

no...he still played....Person got 5 snaps

Osh is not a good coach whether anyone believes it or not....Maybe he should be handed the "culture curator guy" role and someone else take control

we dont need depth "they are all starters"...and "they in the building cause they give us a chance to win"...what you talking bout depth....DEPTH?!!?...lol

yeah sad part is we have guys who just could be the real deal....if anything will be aggressive and full of fire and spit....but good luck they get a chance...so we will never know

Just look at CGY....Total turnover on defence...and they whooped are arse 2 straight games...with all our savvy glue and continuity....

I don't think oshea counts as many...

Here's the thing with those two... they're OK and you can use guys like that... but they shouldn't be the untouchable mainstays like they seem to be. We got far far too many of those guys on the team now.

Yeah his presser after the game sure as hell didn't inspire confidence......how long will Kyle and Wade let this clown rule......

Agree...They perfect rotational and in game injury depth guys...not defacto starters

Bombers have their kids combine on Monday. Maybe they can find some bodies for the d line meat grinder there. They would come cheap tol

How many of our "starters" would be starters on other teams.  You're never going to have best at each position but I think we have too many who are closer to the bottom.

I’ve been saying for a few years now that the days of O’Shea being a good coach have come and gone.

He was good when we captured lightning in a bottle and had the exact kind of team he needed to have in order to succeed, but he sucked before that and he’s sucked since. Not adaptable whatsoever. Not willing to take a long hard look in the mirror. Just trying to recapture the magic that disappeared 3 years ago over and over and wondering why he can’t do it, but it’s okay because he will next week.

Jones and Kramdi are good depth on a championship team.

Kolo...kramdi...Thomas...sterns...case...prob even Wallace...Bridges...T.Jones be hard pressed to start...punter guy...Korn prob doesn't make a roster....

I honestly had my doubts he was a good coach....leader and influencer...no doubt...but in pro ranks that will wane too....he had success when he finally got good assistants and a stacked roster...wedged between seasons when he doesn't...well it's touch and go

You been reading my mind lol

Honestly, I think there’s a couple different angles that show Walter’s and co were the ones that truly ****** this up.

We were good because A: The front office went balls deep in FA over 2016-19. Harris, Prime (or close to it) Bighill and Jefferson, Rose, etc

Also did a good job bringing in spare parts from other teams who had value (Nick Taylor, Darby, Maston) which we don’t really do anymore.

B: We had guys from the Rigmaiden/Craig Smith pipeline coming through until 2021. (Lawler, Jeffcoat, Alford, Nichols to name a few.)

Not sure if it lines up exactly with Rigmaiden leaving but the American scouting started to drop a dook after 2022 and never really recovered. We just kept letting good players walk and replacing them with nothing and nobody.

The DT spot is a microcosm. Let Stove walk, replace with slightly worse Sayles. Let Sayles walk, replace with slightly worse Ricky Walker, let him go and so on.

Drafting has generally sucked too. No real impact players over the last 4 seasons. Now we just draft maybe 1 OL, a slower WR or 2 and a bunch of Jessie Briggs reincarnations per year.

Yeah...kinda sums up a lot...also tho the reluctance to unseat a vet...hasn't helped...and just gradually eroded us away to where we are...as we didnt draft/recruit or develop...and then play a incumbant/transition piece...ones we did we let walk..and for peanuts really...or ones that needed a bump in pay we refused as we figured we were good and could just use a slug we've held on to...or look like the smartest guy in room and reinvent a retread...and for most part our draft strategy of late has sucked

Guys oozing with athleticism and potential we draft we just waste or stunt (Shay..Smith...MCI...Samson..Eli..Rene....even Clercius as if Woli never got hurt he would havnt got a chance)
