2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

Yep, I've tailgated in at least 8 different lots around the stadium (9 if you include the official tailgate area) and I'm sure there's more that I haven't yet.  I hope somebody posts video from a Banjo Bowl tailgate for this guy so he can see what it's supposed to look like.

I always thought the Bombers should send up a drone on Banjo Bowl to capture all the activity around the stadium.

As you mentioned, most people dont see all the tailgating that takes place as they are so spread out around campus.

Depth Charts for Friday are out and with Ottawa desperate for a win to keep pace in the East and trying to make up distance between themselves and BC in the crossover Dru Brown is sitting out with his knee injury again

tbh, if i’m them I would pack it in already. they aren’t gonna contend this year or come close. get dru 100% for next year, and focus on adding to that line so he can be healthier next year.

Dru really needs to be healthy next year. another year like this one and he’s gonna end up too broken to be a qb1

Looks like the Luke Willson - Bob Irving Twitter feud continues.

I just watched the Chiefs/Chargers game.  Chargers are up by 6 points.  2 minutes left.  QB gets a first down, slides down in bounds.  Game over.  That just freaking blows.  Sorry Luke, but the NFL game and how they allow teams to win like the Chargers did tonight just plain sucks.

I'd like to know what TSN did to Bob in 2021 for him to hate them...

They'd lost a bunch of pieces on O, as well... It's remarkable how they've mostly kept on rolling.

Will he go into the HOF as a Bomber or Lion?

Whichever he chooses.

He played 6 seasons in each city and statistically, his best seasons were in BC.   But if you look at what his accolades, Winnipeg has the edge so there's a good argument for both.  He had more all-star seasons with BC but more team success & league awards here.

BC:  1 Grey Cup, 1 MODP, 4x All CFL team

Wpg: 2 Grey Cups, 2 MODP's, 2x All CFL team.

Imo, he should go in as a lion. If he was 2 different guys, the lions player and the bomber player, the bomber player doesn't get half the personal accomplishments and doesn't go into the HOF. The lions guy on his own, does go into the hof and wins every thing he got still.

What do you do if you're the argos? Arbuckle has thrown 6 straight 300+ yard games, and 7 of his last 8. Since week 2 he's had more Tds than Ints. He's averaging 319 yards passing per game. He is 31, and he's healthy as can be. He's also not in the 13 highest paid qbs in the league.

Does kelly make them any better at this point? They have heavily under achived but I don't place a lot of that at arbuckles feet. Kelly is also 31, an off the field nightmare, the 2nd highest paid qb at 615k, coming off a major injury and his best year isn't as good as arbuckle this year.

Personally, while I'd hate to tie my self to arbuckle as the qb1 prior to this year, I'd trade kelly. Some one will likely be desparate enough to take the bait on him and give up assets. You can still resign arbuckle to a team friendly deal and add an all star player with the salary difference.

Easy choice, arbuckle one more week and see what happens after that.

Idk, toronto is playing edmonton this week. I would certainly expect Arbuckle to maintain his average-ish performance. I belive the trade dead line is begining of october as well. Which leaves edmonton, montral and BC for games for them.

I can't tell if you are saying that Arbuckle has been average or he will maintaining his current average but looking at the game logs and geez; 6 Straight games of 300 or more yards passing, 14 TDs vs 2 Interceptions. If the Bombers were getting that level of QBing they'd probably be the prairie team sitting on 10 wins.

Problem has been at runningback and a soft defense. Arbuckle has performed extremely well last six games and running back situation looks a lot better and defense is starting to get it together. I dont know if if it is a good idea to mess with that. Crazy as it may seem Argos may be the best team in the east right now. If anything I would put Kelly as a back up to be there only if Arbuckle falters.

Cry? Wonder why me?
