Osh has his faults but there is not an available candidate I would take over him. Any fan of this team knows how hard it is to find a good head coach.

I would I guess go with Jordan Younger. He has adapted to different personnel and certainly has gathered respect around the league.

💯... Anything is going to be a downgrade for sure. But we have to be prepared for that... And pray for the best.

Yeah. Awful. 5 cup appearances. 9 straight playoff appearances. Talk about an entitled fan. You obviously forget how bad it was before hand. Laughing stock of the league to sell outs every game. What an Funny. The league and players in it respect him tho and he’s looked upon favourably and highly by those making decisions

Quality coaching is seriously lacking in the CFL.

If I had to rebuild the coaching staff without Mos, I'd do the following.

Going young, Archambault as HC, JY as DC, and as HC, Mike Miller, Pete Costanza, with Jackson and Costello staying. Miller would be the OC, Jackson the pass game co & qb coach, Costanza would be the rb/wr coach, and Marty the OL coach.

For proven guys? It is a really ugly market.

What about Marc Trestman? Chris Jones? Maybe CRAIG Dickenson?

On a serious note, Khari Jones might be a fun candidate

Isn't Trestman still with the Chargers as senior offensive assistant? He's pretty old, Idk if he'd want to come back if hes out of football.

June Jones has been out of ball for I think 2 years?

U G L Y

The only decent vet coach move was dinwiddie.

What's Gluey Huey's son (Campbell for you young uns) doing in Ottawa....Seemed at one point to have the Leos on track till the qb situation in BC imploded....has the qualifications but maybe that's it

Would be the second worst option next only to Dyce...

We won in spite of him, not because of him. This is the same guy who refused to start Nichols and waited until he was on the brink of being fired to do so. Management who signed the players and the players themselves got us the results, not this bozo

50/50 if MOS stays or goes.
Either way, I think Costanza in any capacity (preferably OC) would be a great hire. He’s had nothing but success wherever he’s been.
Jackson HC, Costanza OC could be interesting.

I would assume MOS would take Younger with him if he goes to TO.

Not if we promote Younger to head coach.

I hardly think that we need a third DC

I’m sure part of Osh maybe agreeing to go is giving him control of his staff also. He’d take younger with him. Same with Mike miller for sure. Guaranteed.

I get the feeling tho if we don’t hear Osh has agreed to a deal with the Argos by Wednesday then it’s probably not gonna happen and he’s gonna stay here. Really depends on what O’Shea wants I think. If he wants to go he will, if he wants to stay he will.

Overall thoughts on the Argos current and future coaching situation?

Who is to say Dinwiddie don’t take a bunch with him to Ottawa even. Nobody knows right now the actual state of coaching staffs in Toronto Ottawa and Winnipeg right now. Dinwiddie is coach and gm in Ottawa. That’s all we know today.

It's completely this. He has earned the opportunity to choose his own destiny. Everyone around the league knows he's the absolute top option in the CFL, and would give him whatever the hell he wants.

I'm just not sure Toronto can offer him anything that we can't, aside from "physically closer to North Bay"... So it's a matter of where he wants to live at this point.

We can offer the same money... The same freedom to do what he wants... Does he want a new challenge? Does he want continuity? Is Walters planning on staying and they want to keep this thing going, or does Walters situation (staying or going) have some impact on Osh's decision?

I am curious what Wade's take on all this is. Maybe Wade comes in and says "a bunch of **** needs to change around here" and Pinball says "You are free to do whatever you want..." And THAT'S the clincher??

Time will tell...

That could very well be it. The last paragraph.

Well to really dissect the overall situation of the argos my detailed analysis is that they suck.

Whatever decision O’Shea makes is fine with me. It’s his life not mine. He’s free to go or free to stay, either way I hope the decision is made quickly. Maybe he calls a press conference and says he’s taking his talents to the big smoke. Who knows. He’s earned his right to choose.
just hope we know sooner rather than later.
