First practice of the regular season is today. Out with the old and in with the new. Time to get it started.

austin? The guy has had some pretty cushy ncaa gigs. Qb coach at auburn almost certainly pays more than the argos too. 

We all know pinball will come hard after mos. In the end it’ll all be on what mos wants. I don’t think torontos push will matter.

Said that Austin has one year left on his contract but his HC got tossed recently, so they think he might be coming free ..

I think when you look at the overall picture of the two organizations, TO will have to offer the world to get MOS.

idk man, He can get a premier qb coach job or mid level oc job in d1 ball on a whim.  I also don’t know if austin would want to come up for the pennie’s and be under pinballs thumb, in front of 8 fans, hemorrhaging talent each fa, not even having a home field for a year etc. That’s the least desirable situation in the cfl.

Only other one Naylor mentioned was Steinauer coming outta the C-Suite and back to coaching... That was the "3rd option" after MOS and Austin, according to Naylor during this pre game show...

I honestly can't believe anyone is interested in Kent Austin in a head coach or GM role or that he'd be interested in that job again after his Hamilton stint.

Feels like Naylor just listed names he knows when I saw that.  Didn't feel overly credible.  The only one I actually believe is O'Shea.

So Toronto wants MOS as coach and GM? That’s interesting and kinda odd. I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable with Osh as both gm and coach. I guess that and more money is what they can offer him cuz don’t see us going gm coach but maybe we do and that’s the new trend.

I agree. I think MOS will weigh how the two organizations are run and their "star" players. Going from a group of Collaros and Willie to Kelly and McManus likely wont help TOs bid. Then add in just how the two organizations are run and i don't see why MOS would choose TO.

I don’t think he will get both, they’d a kept dinwiddie at that imo. He might get agm or hc and teams co etc

Maybe he loves pinball? 

Maybe he wants to be captain save a hoe to toronto? 

 Maybe he feels the walls closing in here and wants to escape before it really hits the fan. (this could be as much internal and rebuild related as any thing) 

I know his immediate family live here but maybe he wants to be closer to old friends and extended family? 

All pretty soft reasons imo. 

I like several pieces toronto has, but they are also past their peak by a good bit and need a heavy re tool. Delving into our fa offerings like hamilton isn’t likely to help much either.

I would ask JT you still want to play next year? JT’s answer: Yup that’s the plan, I still feel like I contribute. Based on that answer I would then ask MOS I heard JT wants to come back next year and play. What’s your thoughts? MOS’s answer: Excellent, looking forward to what he continues to bring to our club. Based on that answer my next call is to Pinball Clemons letting him know how MOS is ready to become your new GM and head coach.

I get the feeling MOS stays here because when you compare the 2 organizations it’s night and day. Not sure oshs parents alive still so seems like Ontario would be more nostalgia reasons cuz to me osh is more Winnipeg  than Toronto. As a person. He’s a small town guy it seems. Wears shorts in the fall. I think he stays and I think that’s what everyone should hope for, stay with changes. Because there’s literally nobody out there who wouldn’t be recycled for the 60 the time. I don’t want Lapo or Khari. They been given chances and failed. Don’t think it would be different. Now Lapo or khari as OC? I’m ok with that. Not as head coach tho.

Winnipeg/Eastman is a lot more like North Bay than Toronto, for sure. Not sure if that plays into it, but just saying....

Perhaps MOS would prefer an market like Toronto because there is less pressure.

If you look back, they used to make more changes to the line up. It has become more stagnant in recent years.
