At least Jim Montgomery has time now for his medical practice.

Would have loved to be a fly on the ice - during the handshakes

Does anyone have an extra defibrillator they can lend me... I think I shocked myself about 200 times and mine finally gave out!

I've also got an epi pen and some 90 proof hooch

Fun fact. St. Louis was the best team in the league for the last 25 percent of the season. We beat them without 55 and 44. That’s wild.

Well. We have learned what the tsn headline will be when the Jets break the curse. It will be… Winnipeg Jets 2025 Stanley cup champions but they were 1.6 seconds away from being eliminated

Really tho. Go out and Beat Dallas now.

I've been pretty negative every time the Jets have trailed in any game this season, but a little bit of positivity is that the Jets seem to be settled in... They were the better team in the overtime with the long change.

FIFY. 😁

Games like last night are why I love sports. Threads like this are why I hate sports fans

Now I am picking on @captaincanuck12 but I will say to your credit you have been here all year, win or lose, and even if you have thrown in the towel the odd time you speak as a fan who wears their heart on their sleeve and will always come back with hope for the next game. Your negativity is borne of frustration in the moment, but you don’t quit on this team in the big picture. You are good to have around and are ultimately a loyal supporter, no doubt. What drives me nuts are those “fans” who were silent all year when this team marched to the President’s Trophy, and then crawled out of the woodwork after game 4 to remind how lousy this team has always been when the chips are down, how Hellebuyck is a fraud, how Cheveldayoff must be fired, etc. and then constantly disappear and are quiet when the team wins and proves them wrong for the 60th time this year, just waiting for their next chance to say “see I told you they suck” at the next moment of adversity. It’s beyond feeling upset and negative in the moment, it’s like they can’t be happy unless they get to feel validated moaning and bitching about how useless the team is. I will never get those who seem to want to be perpetually angry and prefer to tell everyone “I told you so” if the team doesn’t win it all, which given the pure mathematical stats of it is about as safe a bet as you can make (31 out of 32 teams fail every year). The old adage is true - “sports is not there to make you happy, sports is there for you to be miserable in a large group”. I just don’t get the appeal of watching and acting like you hope they lose so that you have the opportunity to complain about how lousy they perpetually are and validate your negativity to the public at large. Why watch at all? Tough way to go through life.

Now, the Jets may crash and burn in 4 straight next series, and it won’t change what’s great season this has been, how hard they have worked, and what entertainment they have brought us all year. Their achievement should be celebrated, not maligned.

Rant over. See you in Round 2.

P.S. It was never in doubt, says this Jets fan. 😉

I am more confident facing the Stars than the Avs, to be honest.

I think if you’re a fan of teams who aren’t in the playoffs and you ain’t cheering for the Jets to win it all, something is wrong. Helle tough series but after goal 3 looked like himself actually. Gabe out first 4. Ehlers out first 5. Scheifele out game 7. Josh hurt early game 7. And we win and the only original guy with a letter on his chest wins it. It’s kind of Cinderella ish here. Team of destiny.

The extent of injuries going forward will determine the Jets fate in this next round...

Heiskanen and Robertson be out still for Dallas. I think. Unless both are healed but I think only heiskanen is close.

this may come down to jets exposing the kinda weak RHD of the stars.

1st in central vs 2nd.
This is how it should be.
gonna be a series. Think our boys pull it off. They just have that kinda LA Kings when they first won the cup feel a few years ago now. First of a couple in a row for LA. Kinda down but not out. Helle struggled, so did the D tho, Helle stepped up and we won on a tip from the point. It’s just destiny. It’s our turn.

Winnipeg vs Edmonton would be fun

Winnipeg vs Vegas would be sweet revenge.

Dallas vs Edmonton ? Who care

Dallas vs Vegas? Prob what nhl wants.

I came out of that series really hating St. Louis now for some reason.  Oh yeah, because they deliberately went after our star players, and not in a clean way.  Dirty bastages.  Hope we settle some scores next season when we play them like we did in 2019 in our first game of the season against Nashville.

Anyway, moving on, I'm definitely glad I had that defibrillator installed in my basement thanks to the Bombers, it came in handy last night for sure.

So, on to Dallas.  Time to build on this momentum and get some healthy bodies back in the line up.
