Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

You keep saying you think Osh is a great coach and that you never said he should be fired, then talk out your ass like that. Which is it? Pick a lane. If you think he should be fired say so. At least it will be honest. If you think he should not be fired why make a comment like that one?

Great coaches can still be very flawed. Lapo is a great coach. He isn't great at being an OC, and as a HC can't keep his hands off the offence. If he could accept a HC role where he leads his coaching staff and they run his systems, he'd be an amazing HC any where.

Mos is flawed and great as well. He is a world-class culture setter, with one of the highest work ethics you'll ever see. His roster-making is his Kryptonite. He really believes that the rando back ups are as good as the stars in front of them. Because they could be, but many won't and aren't.

It's not that hard really, khari was a flawed but great QB. He threw more picks than TDs to guys not named milt. Danny mac too. If blink was a gym rat, if Biggie was bigger, etc.

It comes down to a question of, what is the goal. Is our goal to win Gcs or play in them? We are not doing every thing required to win GCs, and haven't the past 3 years. We are doing enough to get to them.

With competition in the West rising, you honestly think Strev replaces Zach next season and they still make the playoffs?  Would that be worth betting the farm on?

Is the west rising? Cus I still see a lot of poor built teams here. The whole landscape as been squished but it isn't getting squishy-er.

If we run a good offence under hogan, and I think we will, yes. I think strev has as good a chance to lead us to the play offs as most any QB that's moved this off season.

Strev is the guy who saved our season last year. If we didn't end up going to him when we did, we never turn that ship around.

The bombers started off like 0 and 4 and were 2 and 6 at one point and still won the west. Rising? Not really. All these teams who spend in free agency never actually win anything.

Being that this could be Zach's last season, if not Strevler, then who on our roster should be the starter?

Sorry disagree, I think all 4 Western opponents have improved their rosters to some degree, depending on QB health BC and Sask. could challenge for first.

Same improvements we see every season from the bottom and mid tier teams plus bc just spending. Looks good on paper till you look at what they had before they added pieces.

Maybe Wilson, but he has a lot to prove and very little time to do it.  If not they make a trade in the off-season or pick up someone like Fajardo on the rebound,

Hamilton has Lawler jerseys for sale already so I'm assuming that it's a done deal and just hasn't been officially announced.

I attribute our poor start as a result of a wasted pre season and training camp.  I really hope this year the team takes it seriously and doesn't **** around a-gain.

Lawler the highest paid non QB in the league. I feel he’s not worth it. Glad they moved on.

Looks like Bombers released  Ayers. For NFL maybe?

That was a huge part of it. Gotta have a competitive involved camp and pre season.
Especially with a new playbook install.

Based on how it’s reading on the transaction report, it’s for the NFL which means we still retain his CFL rights

Him and Wilson can share an Uber back up...neither will stick

Ayers has a fliers chance of making a team as a teams guy. A coach can always fall in love with that high iq, athletic, great hustle on teams. Especially with a young guy.

But I’d bet on him being back.

Would have loved our media to press the coaches on this last year to get some answers, but alas.

For what it's worth.  the media (what's left of it) hardly asks the tough questions anymore. Only one writer I know tries to sift through the bullshit that comes from the Bombers marketing fepartment or football operations. Whenever he asks the tough questions, people here on this forum & outside start insulting that one writer that still has an edge to his columns. "He's always been a prick." "He's just an ass.". "What a dickhead he is" come from the fans.

That certain writer can't write a negative piece about the Bombers without getting blow back from fans here & elsewhere. He can't ask the Trinity any hardball questions as they are untouchable.

I remember some media types like Jack Matheson & John Robertson who would hold coaches & GM's feet to the fire. Or write columns that would piss these Bomber coaches off.  Matheson & Bud Riley had a feud that lasted Riley's entire tenure here. There was bad blood between them probably from his breaking a story in 1974 that Don Jonas & Riley did not get along which led to the ealey for Jonas trade. On top of that, Matheson had a football show on CJOB where he could tee off on the team live on the air. Matty was epic. He took no **** from anyone.

Saw they corrected it … looks like it was meant to be Robbie Lowes

Moved to retired. We still had his rights? Iirc he was drafted in 21 and had a bad injury. Think he came back for a camp another year and was cut. I don’t think he was in camp last year.

I’ll be happy to have ayers if he’s back. I’d love to see Ayers and Jon jones on the field together.
