The companies do have a right to make money after researching & developing their vaccines but there should be better distribution systems worldwide in the supply chain to get the vaccine out to third world countries faster. Have a number of factories for Africa & Asia. More than one for North America so the US can't hoarde vaccines again. AFAIK, there aren't any now. I know patentys are the issue but there has to be something that can be done to satisfy everyone. Companies that want to profit & countries that need vaccines. It's obvious that we are all going to need booster shots as the shots we received are slowly wearing off. This may need to be done once or twice a year. According to the CDC Texas has had over 47,000 new COVID cases and 240 new COVID deaths in the past seven days, with a huge 15%-19.9% positivity rate. Since the start of the pandemic Texas has, under Governor Abbott's leadership, seen nearly 3.1 million coronavirus cases and almost 52,000 deaths. Texas reports just 52% of its population 12 and older has been vaccinated. Abbott's executive order says, "There are no COVID-19-related operating limits for any business or other establishment," and "no person may he required by any jurisdiction to wear or to mandate the wearing of a face covering."
