Covid-19

About time they shone a light on this, as Ford said too in Ontario these homes could face criminal charges. We can thank the Liberals for doing away with government inspections of these facilities. Unlike Cuomo in NY who gave them all immunity from prosecution in return for campaign contributions.

If you want to post jokes about Trump please put them in a joke thread and quit filling this one up with garbage.

Try actually discussing the subject please.

Someone is sensitive about criticism of dear leader.  Lol.  The trump joke thread is the US thread sadly.  More sadlyit’s not a joke.

Whatever, if you think covid is a big deal go right ahead, it's a flu with no vaccine that kills less than .05% of the old and sick, stop the world...….instead of just protecting the old and sick, which they have failed to do on a massive scale, which is now coming out, that at least will be something good.

You’re quite ignorant to reality. 100,000 dead in the US with massive lockdowns and social distancing compared to less than half of that for a regular flu season with no precautions.  Yeah nothing to see here.

You misunderstand, if we didn't have flu vaccines the death rates would be the same, this is just a flu with no vaccine.

Do you want stop the world every time we have a flu with no vaccine?

Might as well just throw in the towel now then.

No just when there is a once in a 100 year pandemic.  Deal?

Everyone knows that covid isn't the most deadly thing out there.... but it spreads like wildfire and no one has immunity it. This is why we take these steps we do. You can get a huge death toll when things are left to spread unchecked. Hell parts of the US tried to take steps and it's still out of control.

Bottom line, to hell with the selfish assholes who just want to get everyone sick and let fate decide if they're the unlucky ones who have to die. It is reprehensible behaviour honestly. Why risk lives when we don't need to?

This is a much more contagious flu, with no vaccine.  It's the level of contagion that really makes COVID scary.  Because it is so contagious, that many more people can get it, increasing the risk of people getting severely ill and needing hospital care, which then has the potential to overwhelm the health care systems and causing more deaths.

THAT is what the measures were put in place to prevent.

Selfish is right. Especially when the dude only feels this way because dear orange leader tells him to.  If trump was actually remotely intelligent and had taken precautions that would be what this poster was advocating for.  I suppose it’s possible he’s Eric Trump and posts here for some reason. Otherwise the obsession and love is quite bizarre

Are you referring to the Spanish Flu? I hope not because best guess is that killed over 50M people. This isn't even in the same breath as that one, although they sure want to treat it like that rather than just admit that we can't save everyone.

Not according to some, according to some it is going to wipe out generations.

Yes we know that but it will kill more because we have no vaccine. If we had no vaccine for the flu either they would kill just as many.

Again, are you going to stop the world every time we have a flu with no vaccine?

yes.... Or do you simply not care about people and their well being?

See even ******* Trump stopped with the comparisons to the flu. It's the spread of this thing that is causing countries to react they way they are. If the thing spread at the same rate as the flu we wouldn't be seeing the precautions taken we do.

Stop trying to pretend you're smart enough to discuss this, just accept that you are a backwards thinking ******* of a person who wants people to die.

The old and sick are the only ones who need protecting from the flu, that is right from a Harvard doctor who knows more about this than you or I, so you quit pretending you more than a Harvard doctor.

Protect the old and the sick and let the rest of us get on with it.

That is not being uncaring, that is being practical.

Plenty of young people dying too.  You want to tell the parents is the children in Manitoba who does that oh well it’s just the flu?  Why you’re tolerated here is beyond me.  You jumped the shark along time ago.

Complete rubbish but don't let that get in the way of the facts.

The data is in and the doctors know that the old and sick are the only ones who need protecting so quit trying to make it about something it is not.

And your first sentence above is a complete lie.

You’re certainly the most likely person here to spot a lie since you spew them so often and in such great volume.  But it’s not a lie. It took me seconds to find a report from April with nearly 1000 younger people dying of covid in the US.

If you have an ounce of class you will apologize to me.  If you have two ounces you’ll go away for good.

And it took me even less time to confirm it,
