Covid-19

I'm starting this thread as a side discussion of all things Corona Virus related. I understand that this is going to be discussed in almost all other topic threads but we could collect news and other items here.

At work, many conferences have been cancelled.

NBA - Suspended.

NHL - About to be suspended.

NCAA March Madness - Playing - no crowd.

Political Rallies have been cancelled.

Travel bans.

Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks tested positive. They're in Australia where testing is available. If they were in the US, they wouldn't have been tested.

I'm curious where this 'known cluster' in the Southern Health region is, as it really shot up today. Is it still linked to a colony or Steinbach? Or is there a new community with an outbreak?

That aint no pickerel.

That isn't me although I wish.

I repeat, correctly, Manitoba the worst place in Canada for COVID right now... Insanity.

Actually Alberta and Quebec are worse if you go per capita and Saskatchewan is roughly the same.

Bottom line it doesn't matter where you live. If people don't social distance & wear masks then things can go south pretty fast. We've seen that this summer with the riots in the States, over 250,000 people in Sturgis, SD, Grand Beach being overcrowded & mostly young people not taking  social distancing seriously & partying all across Canada no matter what province. Anyone who rants about having to wear a mask or that the virus is a hoax needs to have their heads examined.

Does that mean you've cancelled your planned trip to the insane asylum so you can stay in the COVID-free paradise that is Alberta? 😜

Test positive rate at 1.8 for the first time since early April.....

It's running away now. 30+ the new normal.

Yeah... I figured it was too good to be true... we are trending in the WRONG direction....

Lindbergh should go to jail. He wants to run an event like this then he should take responsibility for any deaths.

I'm surprised no one as been charged with knowingly spreading covid yet.

Thissssss is why I have such a problem with religion and religious people.... Yeeeeesh.

My nephew lists occasion after occasion on F/B with each one saying... Religion, please go away. And this why.

Personally, I fail to see how you can say you’re religious and putting people in harm’s way. 17 cases out of 100, in that example in Alberta, is a huge percentage.
There are enough known examples now to restrict these events or better yet, not allow them...

So you form an opinion based on a small percentage of a very large group of people who are doing things the wrong way?

Putting people in harm’s way is the opposite of what a religion or religious person is supposed to do.  It has become so ridiculously misguided in some cases, and Covid 19 has quite frankly exposed the underbelly.
