Dominion’s Latest Filing Is Devastating For Fox News

In a new filing in their lawsuit against Fox News, Rupert Murdoch admits that his hosts endorsed Trump’s election lies which is a devastating admission of defamation.

Via: Dominion’s filing here is Rupert Murdoch in his deposition:

Q: You are aware now that Fox did more than simply host these guests and give them a platform; correct?

A. I think you’ve shown me some material in support of that.

Q. In fact, you are now aware that Fox endorsed at times this false notion of a stolen election?

A. Not Fox, No. Not Fox. But maybe Lou Dobbs, maybe Maria, as
commentators.

Q. We went through Fox hosts Maria Bartiromo, yes?

A. Yes. C’mon

Q: Fox host Jeanine Pirro?

A: I think so.

A. Oh, a lot.

Q: Fox host Sean Hannity?

A: A bit
Q Lou Dobbs?

Q. All were in that document; correct?

A. Yes, they were. About Fox endorsing the narrative of a stolen election; correct?

A. No. Some of our commentators were endorsing it.

Q: About their endorsement of a stolen election?

A. Yes. They endorsed

Quote

Rupert Murdoch admitted in a deposition that he didn't step in to prevent Fox News on-air personalities from airing unfounded allegations by former president Donald Trump and his surrogates that the 2020 U.S. presidential election was stolen.

That's according to excerpts of a deposition involving the Fox Corp. chairman unsealed Monday as part of the defamation lawsuit against the cable news giant filed by Dominion Voting Systems, the company founded in Toronto.

The unsealed documents include excerpts from a deposition in which Murdoch was asked about whether he was aware that some of the network's commentators — Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro and Sean Hannity — at times endorsed the electoral fraud claims. Murdoch replied, "Yes. They endorsed."

The Murdoch deposition is the latest filing in the defamation case to reveal concerns at the top-rated network over how it was handling Trump's claims as its ratings plummeted after it called Arizona for Joe Biden, angering Trump and his supporters.

Trump allies such as Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell appeared on Fox News and falsely claimed Dominion software may have manipulated vote counts in favour of Biden. Wild claims about Dominion's origin story, connecting it to late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez, were also made.

Murdoch was asked in his deposition whether he could have requested that Powell and Giuliani not be put on the air.

"I could have. But I didn't," he replied.

According to multiple U.S. media reports regarding the unsealed deposition, Murdoch also shared unaired Biden campaign ads with Trump son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner.

Which way is the wind blowing now that will benefit me and excuse my previous support of when the wind was blowing in a different direction?

And gross MG's response to being called on it, 'fair enough'.

And he moves on.

And, as predictable, queue the twitter shaming by people like Aaron Rupar who has really made a name for himself in doing so.

And actual impact on MG for being twitter shamed yet again: Nothing.

And around and around it goes.

"Idiocracy" certainly comes to mind:

Joe: For the last time, I'm pretty sure what's killing the crops is this Brawndo stuff.
Secretary of State: But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.
Attorney General: So wait a minute. What you're saying is that you want us to put water on the crops.
Joe: Yes.
Attorney General: Water. Like out the toilet?
Joe: Well, I mean, it doesn't have to be out of the toilet, but, yeah, that's the idea.
Secretary of State: But Brawndo's got what plants crave.
Attorney General: It's got electrolytes.
Joe: Okay, look. The plants aren't growing, so I'm pretty sure that the Brawndo's not working. Now, I'm no botanist, but I do know that if you put water on plants, they grow.
Secretary of Energy: Well, I've never seen no plants grow out of no toilet.
Secretary of State: Hey, that's good. You sure you ain't the smartest guy in the world?
Joe: Okay, look. You wanna solve this problem. I wanna get my pardon. So why don't we just try it, okay, and not worry about what plants crave?
Attorney General: Brawndo's got what plants crave.
Secretary of Energy: Yeah, it's got electrolytes.
Joe: What are electrolytes? Do you even know?
Secretary of State: It's what they use to make Brawndo.
Joe: Yeah, but why do they use them to make Brawndo?
Secretary of Defense: 'Cause Brawndo's got electrolytes.

'Bullying worked': Experts blast FBI after bombshell report reveals agents were 'afraid' to raid Mar-a-Lago

Legal experts are blasting the Federal Bureau of Investigation after a bombshell Washington Post exclusive report reveals some FBI agents were “afraid” to raid Mar-a-Lago and some wanted to simply shut down the criminal investigation, delaying for months the retrieval of classified documents that Donald Trump had unlawfully retained and refusal to return.

“Months of disputes between Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents over how best to try to recover classified documents from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and residence led to a tense showdown near the end of July last year,” The Post reports.

“Prosecutors ultimately prevailed in that dispute,” and the “FBI conducted an unprecedented raid on Aug. 8, recovering more than 100 classified items, among them a document describing a foreign government’s military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities.”

Two senior FBI officials wanted to ask Trump’s permission to go to Mar-a-Lago to search the ex-president’s resort and residence, despite having video evidence that appeared to show a trove of presidential documents being moved from a storage room after Trump was directed to return the items, including classified documents, that had been taken from the White House.

Foreign policy and intelligence expert John Sipher, who spent 28 years in the CIA’s National Clandestine Service, said in response to the Post’s report, “Trump bullying worked.”

Noted national security attorney Brad Moss, a frequent political commentator, observed: “This extensive piece once again makes clear a simple fact: the FBI, traumatized from the Trump era assaults on it, treated Trump with kid gloves.”

Ted Cruz Is Humiliating Himself At Merrick Garland Hearing

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is embarrassing himself at a hearing featuring Merrick Garland by spinning conspiracy theories and getting obvious facts wrong.

Ted Cruz spent a lot of time screaming at Garland for not throwing people who protested against conservative Supreme Court justices in jail:

Cruz claimed that Garland isn’t enforcing the law when people on the left ‘threaten’ conservative Supreme Court justices. Garland told Cruz that he took the unprecedented step of sending US Marshalls to the homes of all Supreme Court justices to provide personal protection.

This fact made Cruz hysterical. The Texas senator gave a performance that will land him on Fox News primetime tonight, but Cruz wanted to seal the deal, so his next round of questions took it to the next level.

Cruz launched into his conspiracy theory that the DOJ will indict Hunter Biden as a cover for their real motivation, which is to indict Donald Trump. Sen. Cruz then tried to claim that the picture of classified documents recovered at Mar-a-Lago was a leak. Attorney General Garland corrected him and told him the picture was evidence from a submitted court filing.
