Mulumba-Bilukidi watch

Bilukidi I think is low on the skins depth chart and Mulumba is with the Chiefs.

  • Why on earth would the Bombers want Grigsby??

  • I believe Mr Dee was not so subtly altho I suppose maybe 2 subtle for some, suggesting we trade his rights to Ottawa

  • So you're saying his chances of making the Skins is pretty low?

Why the hell would we want Grigsby for Bilukudi....We have better sitting on the bench in Flanders...They can trade us Evans straight up or a no 1 and Ellingson or forget it...We don't have to go begging anymore

any interest in Ernest Jackson? Drew Willy's former Buffalo target?

No it was known that Mulumba was going to sign as a FA in the NFL, the thought was that he wouldn't stick around there too long.

Bilukidi for Jensen and a pick

3rd round pick

or

Nick Grigsby and a 1st round pick

Get it yet?  (Grigsby and a much higher pick)

We won't get much more than a 3rd for Bilukudi.  That's what we paid for Doug Brown back in the day.  Bilukudi needs time to resize himself down to a CFL weight.

You know you'd probably be looking at a simpler trade like getting a first round pick back. Just looking at what Doug Brown was traded for back in the day. Seems a similar situation.

we have enough receivers already. ditto db, lb. we really dont need rb. we could use an ol but our 3 intl ol is wirking right now so why fix. we could use a de but who they got to offer?

Bring back Moton Hopkins!!!

Some people need to clear up their history:

Bilukudi - Drafted in NFL April 2012, Drafted in 3rd round by Bombers in May 2012

Mulumba - Drafted 2nd overall by Bombers May 6, 2013.  Signed as undrafted free agent (UFA) by Green Bay on May 10, 2013

Mulumba was undrafted by the NFL and it looked like he wouldn't get picked up when the Bombers picked him.  Bilukudi dropped in the draft due to his  NFL draft status.  The Bombers knew he'd be away for a while.

Ottawa can trade us a 3rd round pick, or Nick Grigsby and a 1st round pick for Bilukudi.

we took a gamble with the 3rd, if it pays off we should not trade to get a 3rd back. Bilukidi is easily worth a 1st + LOL grigsby. I guess he could be the personal cheer leader for flanders.

A NI wr would actually be good. Some one who can take JFGs spot and add some production.

How happy are they with milo? Weve held castillo for a long time now.

Bilukudi for Burris - straight up!  We need some humility on this team! :)

Take a first round pick, but only after trying really hard to sign Bilukidi.

weird though that he would just take off on the Jets like that.  Without even saying good bye.  Not a good sign.

Slightly off topic but what if Mack had used a futures pick in 2013 on Bo Lokomso instead of using his third on Carl Fitzgerald?

We gave up a 3rd rounder for Doug Brown in a similar situation. We used a 3rd rounder on Bilukidi. I'd ask for a 2nd rounder and settle for a 3rd.

How about a conditional 3rd round that could become a 2nd if he starts.

Let him sit and ponder his future, if the Red Blacks won't give what Walters may want for him whatever that may be.

Wonder if Marcel would give us a first? I think I'd take it.

Bilikudi is an instant NI starter and star- even better, he wants to play in Ottawa. He is definitely worth a first-round choice or he sits.

Yeah. Hard to judge, as a lot of things could be at play. Maybe he doesnt have the desire to play any more, fighting through hordes of guys deep down on the depth chart. Or maybe he really wants to play and is tired of not getting action. Any one who doesnt want to play football isnt some one id want. Denmark wants it, hes bringing his best game ever because he found that desire greater then ever. Every team wants guys like that.

This. Think westerman up the middle. Id love to see us get one of there young NI wrs on the bench too.

no that is not correct

Gave up a 1st which turned out to be Jon Oosterhuis. One of the reasons I like Taman :)

first and a third I think

Looking at the historical data, I don't believe that this is correct.  The Stampeders definitely took Mike Labinjo in the third round in 2003, but no where do I see that that pick was originally Winnipeg's.  More-over, it seems strange that Calgary would accept a draft pick in 2003 for a player whose rights were being sent over to Winnipeg in late 2000 or early 2001.  Now if you look at the 2002 CFL draft, Calgary drafted Oosterhuis in the first round with Winnipeg's original pick.  Using logic, I would assume that this was the actual pick that Calgary got for Brown, and it would jive with the memories of a lot of people here.  What was especially humorous was that we ended up getting Oost after Calgary cut him in 2002, which meant that we got our first rounder pick (assuming we would have taken Oost) and therefore Brown for essentially nothing.
