Breaking down the offence. I generally want things to stay the same/can't see better options out there. Big question with Schoen, small question with Brady. I would really, really like to see some young OL just take jobs and turn our front into a bigger force again. Will need some investment in WR and OL next year for development and depth. Might need the next developmental QB, too.
Quarterbacks:
Zach - ***** all you guys want, he's going no where.
Dru Brown - heard some interesting things lately. I'm more open to the idea he might come back than I was earlier in the season.
Runningback:
Brady - obviously want him back, but he's put a little fly in the ointment on that one. Would need a new starter if he left.
Offensive Line:
Stan - coin flip on if he retires. I bet a lot of the vets are going to make this decision together. I feel he'll be back
Neuf - Kind of a prime retirement candidate. Does he do what Stan does?
Kolankowski - I'm done with this experiment.
Gray - Don't have enough bodies to replace the whole interior, if it comes to that.
Hardrick - He'll play until they rip the jersey off his back. No one will do that.
Eli - Need him to have the off season of his life and force his way onto the starting roster
Dobson - Same. Put up or shut up time.
Receivers:
Kenny - Paid way too much for next year, but he can be best. Need him to play a full season next year tho. No more crap.
Schoen - Grey Cup notwithstanding, he's a beast. When Zach is able to be mobile in the pocket, no one is more dangerous.
Bailey - another team friendly deal? We may need some rookie salaries in the rest of the receiving core.
Demski/Woli - all signed up already?
BOO - Probably moves onto another opportunity if he can, but bring him back if we can
________ - I wish we had a guy this year that I could look forward to next year. Recruiting fail at receiver this year.
I'd be absolutely stunned if Brady left. Can see him making 250k or more next year with us.

It might be 50/50.
I can see a couple vets retiring, I can see them coming back. Biggie is the only guy who's age and play has me concerned,
I'd like to see a real competition along the OL next year. There's our kids in the pipeline who are ready or they're not.
I think Eli, Dobson, and perhaps Richmond are all ready.

Thanks again to all you guys for a wonderful season. I've spent a lot of hours in my recliner hanging out with you! See you at free agency!

No, but did I watch a crippled Bighill get torched on a touchdown tonight? Yes. Did I watch our pass rush get gassed by the time it came down to crunch time? Yes. Did I see us dress multiple players that didn’t take a single rep? Yes.
Now tell me - why am I watching all of that? And could fixing any of it have possibly helped us cover up our offensive woes?
I just finished reading a rather scorching piece from Paul Friesen about dressing Biggie and Schoen. And how that loyalty hurt us. I'm interested to see how many guys depart. I'm expecting Thomas to retire, and perhaps Bryant as well. What I would really like to see is Dobson and Eli full time on the line. Kolo had 1 bad play I recall. And I'm doing whatever I need to do to bring back Schoen, Bailey, Demski and Holm. And I'm calling Brinks to see what they have on hand for Brady because we're gonna be paying him some big money.

Well....we did dress McRae last game for no particular reason...didn't take his parka off all game
And he wasn't even completely healthy I think I read. I guess insurance. Going to be very interesting around 5pm when we find out who's on, and who's off.
-
My thoughts on the game are pretty straightforward.....don't shoot ourselves in the foot ( feet ) and we'll be fine.

Rose for Biggie....maybe.. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind this move. Are they thinking Faj is gonna be throwing a lot and thus the db?? I realize that Biggie is very difficult to replace, but I'm pretty sure we have a big body or two to choose from. Like Haba or Fox

That's the league MOP you're talking about! Media will sweep this under the rug for the good of the argos and therefore the league.
The media is going to run with this for clicks, views, etc etc. If this gets any further heated up, TO basically has to cut him. There's my opinion!

What about the fact that Montreal is coming off an emotional upset? Teams often play worse the following game.
I've wondered about that as well. Could they have shot the wad last week??

Hopefully he’s good to go, those non-contact injuries are extremely tough to see. I wouldn’t be surprised if Keon Hatcher tore his Achilles.
read an article from Ed Tail today that both of BC's receivers tore their achilles

Willie had that Jarrell Broxton looking like a goof more than a couple times. Just rolled him over with a neat little shove one time I saw
Montreal's right tackle is in for a really large dose of the Jeffs on Sunday...and it won't be very fun for him.

As somebody who has complained about the roster, I'm going to say I was wrong.
If they throw a pass to Jackson and he surprises everybody with a big gain, I'll be cheering.
So last night, it was loud at the stadium. How did it sound on TV?
Looked like Jackson was sporting a cast on his right lower arm yesterday.

Just for the record, it was never a matter (and still isn’t) of anything other than hoping this wasn’t going to come back and bite us in the ass. Doesn’t look like it’s going to, but I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I think that makes it good practice.
I’ll firmly stand on my opinion that our roster isn’t optimal and leaves us vulnerable, that doesn’t mean we’re not still smashing teams when we’re operating at let’s say … 90% of what we could be.
At the end of the day, all I want is a Grey Cup and it looks like we’ve got a great shot at another one. I hope Damian Jackson scores the game winning TD. They’re all Bombers and I’ll cheer for every single one of them.
oh yeah and I’m getting an Evan Holm jersey. He’s a dawwwwwg.
totally with you mister

Biggie is a tough guy if anyone could be ready to play next week it's him but that might of been real serious
Was watching him at half time when they brought over the cart. He had to get the guy to move it closer because he couldn't walk the 5 feet. I'm only a twitter doctor, but it looked like his knee, and it looked bad. Heartbreaking for him for sure.....

Somebody better go do a wellness check on Farhan.
The media darlings (Betts, Vaj, Kelly) sure as **** did not live up to their hype when it mattered today.
Just watched the 9 minute replay of both games from yesterday. Man Kelly was horrible. I believe the votes have already been cast for MOP, and it makes me sick to even think that Kelly will get that MOP. It was about time Toronto sold out that mini stadium of theirs, and it was too bad ( well not really ) that their team and their 600k qb pooped the bed.
-
1. Brady. Hands down the MOC and should be the MOP even though it will probably go to Kelly who doesn't deserve it.
2. D line. Stayed in their lanes and VAJ had no where to go. Outstanding game.
3. Hallet for the blocked punt, and an honourable mention to whoever kept him upright long enough for the boys to rugby scrum him over the goal line.
HH#1 The sold out crowd was amazing and was loud and proud all game.
HH#2 Eli's dad for the onfield haka after the game. Think I watched it 20 times at least.

My bold predictions for the Western final:
1. Janarion Grant shows up. 2 return TDs
2. BO goes over a 100 yards mostly in the 4th as we grind down the clock
3. Zac is average but efficient
4. VA throws for 400 yards but BCs offence stalls out in the red zone getting only FGs
5. The Jeffs show up and dominate BCs crap OL
6. Deatrich Nichols gets a ball thrown his way and promptly intercepts it. VA does not throw his way again.
7. Betts goes offside multiple times.
8. Time count violations kill promising BC drives and IGF gets louder and louder.
9. This game is effectively over by half time.
10. Final score WPG 41-BC 18
I like it! However....if the Jeffs are dominating BC's crap o'line, which I totally believe they will, VA doesn't even come close to 400 yards. I'm generous to let him have 200, but that's it.
Which Vets do we cut next season
