Well it's good news to us now that Kavis Reed stays on in Montreal. LaPolice would likely be in the running for the head coaching job there but he would be nuts to join the Reed circus.

Really looking forward to seeing Givens this weekend (assuming he gets into the lineup). Can't expect too much from him in his 1st game, but from his highlights the guy looks good.

I don't feel it's fair to criticize receivers for hitting the turf or taking it out of bounds after a catch. If they need some extra yards for a 1st down, then yes, but receivers need to be smart with the ball (avoiding a turnover) and keeping the contact to what is necessary. Milt made a career out of playing this way and has addressed this on the panel a number of times.

Halls defense was not vanilla on Saturday. Except for the last 3 minutes or so we played aggressive.

To be fair there have been many NFL "busts". How about Johny Manzel, Tony Mandarich etc? And there have been NFL players coming here who been busts (i.e. Vince Faragammo) And I think Ricky Williams coming up here was a bigger deal, at least as far as the media attention is concerned. I for one am interested in seeing what Richardson can do...the guy looks totally ripped.

If Harris is still on pace for 1000 & 1000 at time of voting I don't see how he doesn't get the nod. That has never been done before.

I understand the argument made for BLM being given the award because the Stamps are almost unbeatable. However many times the MOP award has not been given to a player on the best team. I remember Deiter Brock winning it twice in the 80's when the Bombers were at best a 2nd place team to the mighty Eskimos and the immortal Warren Moon!

We haven't mathematically clinched 2nd...but realistically no one is going to catch us. Great game Blue. Even with a few minutes left and Edmonton driving and the T.V. commentators saying how Reilly has orchestrated lots of comebacks I said "Not today"! This Bomber team is pretty special.

But in all honesty that fumble in the early part of the game (that wasn't ruled a fumble) was the difference. I have watched a lot of football and I have never seen a call like that...a real head stratcher. I'm not sure why an upset must happen...other than the obvious hate for the Riders. I always cheer for the team which helps the Bombers most...and I don't see any such situation here. The Redblacks have almost no chance in this one...unless Burris comes out of retirement.

Our coach actually said that about Carmichael? Really? Or is that fake news? Rod Hill WAS the greatest defensive back not only in Bomber history but IMHO in league history. He was so good that when we had him and Less Browne (leagues all-time INT leader) at the same time QB's would throw to Browne's side instead of Hill's side. Wow, that was a defense!

Quite simply...play like we have been playing lately. Our defense has been getting better. I think we need to contain Reilly. And unless they get some of those (a bit lucky) big plays in on offense, we should be okay.

Hmmm. I'm rooting for the Riders. Media guys out here last week figured Riders could still catch the Bombers, but that is only delusional rider thinking...not going to happen. We still have a chance to catch Calgary...so go Riders in this one.
