Weaknesses of O'Shea: He doesnt play quarterback, running back, offensive line, defensive line, defensive back, receiver, or kicker. Oh, sorry, I guess that means our players also bear SOME responsibility for our poor play... (insert smilee face here). Personally, I like oshea, at times he has made poor decisions, but I fear us firing him and getting somebody a lot less competent...

Benevides & Higgins... you would still need to ask permission to BC & MTL. Of course they'd say yes, but they still have contracts so it's part of the process. I like the idea of bringing back LaPo. I'm sure he'd be open to it too, knowing O'Shea will have a short leash, and no one from the Mack era that rushed him out there door is left! No, you do not need permission from b.c. or montreal to talk to higgins or benevides. IF...you hire them then the stipulations as to a payout - if that has not happened already, comes into effect. But they are fired...anyone can call them with inquires...

So...I just watched the video on this new quarterback and the only question I have now is... Can he start Saturday? (okay, only half kidding).

Why would the riders trade Messam? Is he a free agent after this season? Messam has been the Riders best player this year, bar none.

Well, I hate every other team in the CFL - I hate the Riders the most and I live in Saskatchewan - but I will cheer for any team in any given week where it helps my team the Bombers win even if it means cheering for the Riders (and that is painful)..

Oh well, he would have helped our defense, but it is the offense that needs the most help.....o line, receivers, running backs....

Yup, agreed. I was cheering hard for the riders today. For us to make the playoffs, we have to be ahead of SK and B.C. and at least tied with Montreal. Not likely gonna catch Ottawa but who knows what happens this last 3rd of the season. Anyone know when Willy will be back?

This thread is about the ref's blown call, not about the Bombers lack of production up until that point (yes, they were not up by 30 points but they were in a position to tie or win - the refs made that difficult to improbable). Feel real bad for the guy. He must be devastated. His career probably over. Not too many teams in any league would be willing to take a chance on this guy...

Brohm reminds me of T.J. Rubley, Chris Vargas etc. ...... scary stuff...

I think if the bombers have cap room left you would want to offer him either a front loaded contract or one with a signing bonus. Lets say 200 thousand per year with a large bonus that could go on this years budget.

Count me as another one who feels that right now the Riders are playing better than the Bombers

How come the bombers get roughing the passer penalties called against them, but the opposition can consistently hit our qb and it doesn't get called? I scratch my head sometimes at the refs...

I do no not know how bad Willy is injured, but one thing is certain; the next time we play a team named Edmonton or Hamilton we should start Marve, Willy can't get rid of the ball soon enough and we don't seem to have any screen plays to combat the blitz's so why throw our pocket passing qb to the lions?

At this point of the season, and considering what has happened in the past, if Brohm gets in this game and makes a major mistake the fans will let him have it. Rightly or wrongly, Bomber fans don't have much mercy on QBs who don't perform, and Brohm is at that point where he will no longer be tolerated by our fans....so...maybe the best thing for our organization is to start him this game!
