I have heard from Regina radio here that Glenn makes a very modest salary, so they probably have a lot more space to spend than we would. But as to the Riders 6 game injury list...yes even the media has commented several times how many of those wounded seem to have no physical ailments whatsoever.

Kindly Cal was one of the best football men to ever grace these parts. Was an assistant under Hugh Campbell before coming here, I believe. The guy just won. Period. I was very disappointed the day the Bombers fired him - After that playoff debacle in Edmonton where the Eskimoes put screws in their cleats (it might not have mattered anyways). He took the blame with a pink slip. We have gone thru a lot of crappy coaches and GM's since then (have a good one in Walters now). We miss you Cal! Well done Bombers with this statue!!

It's very likely that the Riders...yes the Riders, will finish 3rd in the West this year and thus will come into Winnipeg for that western semi-final playoff game. But here's hoping we can still finish first!

When is the last time a bomber q.b. was ranked #1 this far into the season? Im guessing it was Khari Jones. Nicholls has been a very pleasant surprise!!

This is the bye week for us. I was kind of hoping we would be bringing in some NFL cuts. Anyone hear of anything? We could use a DB and a LB. Saskatchewan and Edmonton have both improved their teams in the past week or two. I hope we are still looking at improvements. Any thoughts?

Yeah realistically Lulays career is over. He is great as a back up...just as long as he doesn't take the field. Great guy. Just injury prone.

Yeah it was a Mass moment for sure. O 'Shea isn't perfect, but I like the fact that he is composed on the sidelines. His composure reminds me of a Mike Riley or Hugh Campbell...when those guys spoke to the refs the refs listened because they had their respect. Mass' tirades are getting old.

The media and rider fans have been lighting up the airways this week in Saskatchewan in contempt and mockery of those who have called out the Riders on their fake injuries. So my question for this week is, "How many fainting spells will Rider players have this week"?

Coach has stated numerous times that Thomas gets almost exactly the same number of reps as the other inside guys.

After a loss a team almost always looks bad; hence the hysteria on this board. Look, take away the terrible decision by Nichols for that pick (or maybe the receiver didnt come back) and the punt return for a touchdown in the early part of the game and we are right in it. We sucked at times and deserved the loss, we will move on. We played our worst half of football in a while. With any luck we will take the Banjo Bowl.

We don't "need" Gray this year. Hopefully we can get him in for next year or the year after though.

IMO they need to get Thorpe on the roster for next week. If we are going to throw those short passes all game (Riders were dropping 8 to 9 back), then we need a guy like Thorpe to get some yac yards

Dressler was just okay today. They keyed on him and Harris and it worked. Too many Bomber mistakes. Typical LD game for us. Lost the momentum and couldn't recover.

I hate to admit it, but the Riders might be the hottest team in the league right now. Yes we have won 5 straight but the Riders have dominated against 2 western opponents. Labour Day is set up to be a hum dinger! We need to stay with the Riders in the first half. I think a key for us will be giving Matt time in the pocket.
