Is MOS changing? Answer - No! He left Nicholls in against Hamilton with 5 minutes to go and the game in the bag. That was a head scratcher. The guy is loyal to his Q.B. to a fault. (i.e. see Drew Willy lol).

Not sure if I am concerned about the Bombers tackling as a whole...it's the linebackers that concern me the most. When you don't hear your name called on the play by play it probably means you aren't making enough tackles. It's nice to have a Canadian at middle LB but our production there is poor at best.

We need some linebackers on this team. Let's start by getting a middle lb, ours is absolutely invisible. He is a joke. What will he finish the year with...like 6 tackles?

I think the point of this recruitment frustration is that Calgary seems to get into injury trouble every year, and every year the guys they bring in as replacements seem to dominant us. Is that better recruitment or better coaching? Maybe a bit of both...

We got out coached badly. Nichols played a bad game. Our special teams wasn't special (we need Fogg back badly). Our offensive line got schooled several times by a make-shift Calgary d-line... Frustrating how we keep losing to Calgary. Not sure if their team personnel is better than ours, but their coaching definitely is. Unfortunately if Bo Levi Mitchell has a less than stellar game, it doesn't seem to matter as the rest of Calgary steps up. Very frustrating. Oh well. the year is yet early. Let's hope we keep improving and beat them in the playoffs.

I don't think Jones gets fired this year (speaking as a Bomber fan living in Saskatchewan). They will let him ride it out. If he doesn't get a certain back-up QB in Edmonton to sign in the off-season (or in a trade) then he will be let go very early in the 2018 season.

Okay. I did forget about Khari Jones. So Nichols MIGHT be the best QB we've had since Khari Jones. (with apologies to Kevin Glenn...Glenn was a decent QB for us and we should not have cut him years ago, but Nichols at this point is maybe better than Glenn was at his prime...very hard to gauge that of course cause I think Nichols has a very good offensive line and good receivers...best offensive set we have had for many years. Nichols is definitely surprising me. Managing the game well. Throws deep well. His scrambling is pretty crappy, but oh well.

Matt Nichols is no Matt Dunigan, nor is he a Tom Clements, or a Deiter Brock. But, after those legends he MIGHT be the best QB we have had around these parts in a long time. I guess time will tell. I tell you guys what though...there are not too many QB's in this league who I would take ahead of him right now.

Reaves is facing some tough times. Hopefully this is his "rock bottom" and through this he can get the help he needs to turn his life around for good. His football career though, may be over...

Also the fact that Kevin Glenn asked to be released (I guess he saw an opportunity in Sask), and giving Nichols more money meant something had to give somewhere. I think we are in a lot stronger position as a team for a back up (touch wood) to succeed here. We have a great kicking game, our offensive line is the strongest its been in years, and we have some good Canadian depth. If Dominique Davis needed to start he might not need to be The Star player, he might just need to manage a game.

Hmmm. I read the article. The Bombers could be signing a back up in free agency yet...or maybe Dom Davis is the real deal (at least a serviceable back up).

The last qb we developed who ended up making an impact was Danny McManus (just too bad he didn't have an impact with us).

375,000 seems about right to me. Win us a Grey Cup and then ask for a salary is the 400's range. The only guy in the league who might be making 400,000 or more and who hasn't won a Grey Cup would be Zach Collaros (just my guess). All the others - Ricky Ray, Mike Reilly, Henry Burris, Darian Durant, and BLM all have cups. (Not sure about J. Jennings either). My point is- one season with a 3rd place finish isn't enough.

Not really rule related, but let's start the season at least a week earlier. Less chance of a blizzard in Winnipeg or Regina or (Ottawa?)!!

The NFL has full time refs and their officiating is, at times, BRUTAL! Would full time refs improve our product? Maybe slightly at best. One thing that needs to improve, besides all the challenges, is that "ref in the sky", the ref in the booth. He was supposed to correct the mistakes, but the guy did next to nothing.Waste of a salary if you ask me.

Did u guys notice the massive hold on the last play of the game? I was curious if a flag was thrown...cause Calgary seemed to get away with holding all season long. Anyways, the right team won in the end. I was cheering for Ottawa cause they haven't won in 40 years...and Smilin Hank is ever so slightly less annoying than BLM.

I am guessing the Argos bring in a new QB next year (unless they re-sign Ray), in any case, unless Drew Willy takes back up money he will be looking for work with another team.

My expectations for 2017 record wise would be about the same as this year: around 11 and 7. I don't expect us to win on Labour Day, and maybe not beat the Lions back to back, but I also expect us to beat Calgary at least once in 2017 and not get off to the horrible start we did this year. West should be tough next year too, but the Bombers should have as good a record or close with the Riders hopefully sucking again.

Well, there are a few things I would like to see happen: develop/sign a dynamic, mobile Q.B., sign a stud middle linebacker, draft/sign a good canadian receiver, and sign a stud rush end. Now, what do I think this team will do in the offseason? Kyle Walters may try to sign a middle linebacker if one comes free in free agency; he will also try to draft a canadian receiver and offensive lineman...but if it was just up to O Shea, he would go with the status quo because rightly or wrongly he is loyal/stubborn to his players and coaches.

I think we need a consistent kicker...one that makes those 61 yarders...
