What do you mean? Players need to be put in game situations eventually. Sure, young players usually need to be eased in at a slower pace but it certainly doesn't hurt that Marve got into some real game action last year. Do you honestly think that his development would've been hampered had he taken the few extra reps that Brohm got last year?
 
I'm not saying Marve should be the starter or anything, just that he should be given the backup role if he shows to be more competent than everyone else at his position.

Tate over Brohm every single day of the week.  Tate's a better QB and has way more experience.   I really don't understand what folks see in Brohm.  He's literally played one good half in his entire CFL career.  

I really really don't understand why anyone would prefer Brohm over Marve. The offence performed incredibly well with Marve at the helm, considering the circumstances. They scored 29 points (should've been 36) in the 53 minutes that he played. He was only sacked once during that time, did not throw an interception nor fumble the ball... He basically did everything necessary to win games.
 
He was our best QB in training camp/preseason, and by all accounts, was extremely impressive in practice all year. The only thing that scares me about him is his knees.

Brohm had one good half of football. That doesn't make him a solid qb. If anything there's a lot of questions that need answering about him.

I couldn't care less about bringing Brohm back.  I'd rather have Marve or Glenn at #2.

He was released a few months before his contract ended so he could sign in the NFL.  Similar to what we did for Ian Wild this year.

that's a damn shame for Ian, and I certainly take no joy from his unfortunate situation......that said......would sure love to see the guy back in Blue and Gold this summer, after all...

After months of pretty intense treatments......am now facing a pretty long rehab, after being knocked out of the lineup, for the last quarter of this season. 
 
But yesterday the game films were reviewed and my med team have given the verdict........

Acting like any statistic that applies to the general population also applies equally to any specific group isn't just naïve, it's downright stupid.  Take any class in demographics or statistics.  Come on.

To be fair, even if 10% of the population is gay -- which I would argue is far closer to reality than 3-5%, as so many men (and women) that are gay force themselves to live and "report" as straight -- I do think 4 per football squad would be exaggerated, especially at the pro level.
 
At least not til after another generation or two of societal tolerance. 
 
But percentage of gays in something less stigmatized like swimming or track or tennis? Sure, 10%.
 
Percentage in something like figure skating? Haha likely a bit higher.

I'd don't think the stats for the general population translate equally to pro sports. Not that I think Sam is the only gay football player out there, but do you really think there's an average of four gay players per team in the CFL?

Andrew Hawkins has been a solid contributor in the NFL for a couple of years.

haha yeah for sure, there are a few must reads.  One thing I noticed is there seems to be less game day chatter (I assume people are in the chat rooms?).  I watch games on delay and look forward to going through the threads to see what people were thinking during the game.

Cornish had an all-time yards per game type season.  I can understand the argument of not playing enough games, but if he played enough games to be Most Outstanding Canadian, he should be MOP too.

Drew Willy was absolutely terrible in the second half of the season... I'm not sure that he deserves it.

I do remember tho when i was young and stupid and back in my younger days, i would have thoroughly enjoyed what they are doing right now.
 
Way i see it? I don't plan on  getting tickets in that section so really... why should i actually care or be bothered about something that has zero effect on me. 
 
I mean really, unless this directly effects you and you plan on sitting in that section, who honestly cares.
 
But guess what, by announcing it, if you don't like it, now you know to not buy tickets in those sections. 

As someone who doesn't care about the beer snake or section S one way or another, I find it extremely nitpicky to be upset that they happened to announce a change in policy.  How are people supposed to know otherwise?  Seems like the introduction of a "student" section is something that people would have to know about for it to actually work.
