Used to post on the CFL site a bit back but have found myself not logging on there at all anymore. There seems to be a strong dislike/hatred/jealousy towards THE Bombers and Winnipeg in general there. People just love to hate on winnipeg for some reason on the CFL site.

we did, he was on our PR last season for not long at all, don't think we released him, think he decided that Winnipeg wasn't for him. Honestly, my guess is if he showed up here this year instead of BC, he probably would have stuck around. Night and Day situation compared to last season. Honestly, if i'm a player and i came up here last season, i'm not sure if i would have lasted that long either. Dunno if we released him or if he decided that he didn't want to be here. There was a trend last season with a few players coming up for a day or 2 and then leaving unexpectedly with no real announcement. Had to have been the gong show environment that last season was.

Anyone who doesn't think this has been a drastic improvement over last year is kidding themselves, we got a qb, we got a coach, we got a gm, we got scouts, we have 2 assistant GM's, we are no longer the gong show we were last year, in the off-season i suggested that it might take some time to remove that gong show label that we have had for the last several seasons. I was wrong cuz the gong show environment is gone already. Gotta think Walters is respected around the league, certainly is in terms of his ability to know the CIS.. McManus and Goveia are definitely well respected. Miller is respected. O'shea is respected. Last season? Man we were a joke on and off the field, this year... not really and the games we have lost recently, it's been more so due to our own mistakes than anything, it's not cuz we have given up and lack just the heart and character like last season, this year we fight to the end, honestly, last year if we were down 21-7 at the half, the game was over, done, you could turn it off or leave cuz you knew it was over, this year... down by 21-7 and in the fourth quarter we are right there, a play away from winning. It's definitely night and day. Honestly, i'd say from where we were last season at this point to now, It's been a drastic change. Off field and On Field, not sure how people can forget so quickly what last season was like. Maybe we are like Edmonton from last season, we found our QB and now he needs time to learn, difference between us and the ESKS from last season though is i think we got a good coach here already. Esks had to fire their Ultimate Warrior wannabe coach, do think the ESKS are a tad over rated thought and think next year we will be better than they have been this year.

By Far. The lonely island stuff like i'm on a boat, mother lover, like a boss, things like that.. by far his best stuff.

Turnovers for sure, not just turnovers but turnovers at the worst possible times, and not just offensive turnovers either but mainly... what's really been killing us, special teams mistakes, special teams the last few weeks have cost us probably a touchdown a game, and by cost us a touchdown i just mean that the turnover they let happen (blocked punt, blocked fg for td, bad snap, etc etc) generally either have lead directly to a TD or 1 or 2 plays later lead to a TD. Turnovers are a killer, you lose that battle, you lose the game And when you are losing by less than a TD for the most part (outside of the bc game), Yup those special teams mistakes i'll calll them, they have been very costly. Lirim even had to kick the ball out of the endzone a few teams, those are all points and when you are losing games by so very little, man those points add up.

Andy Samberg on SNL was just a rip off of Adam Sandler, Same stuff, even look the same, Hell samberg played sandlers kid even in "That's My Boy". He had his funny moments but most of his funny moments from SNL were down in the past by Adam Sandler. Seriously, First time i saw Samberg, i was like oh wow they got a younger adam sandler, had no idea who he was, then a few skits went by and i was like holy crap, this guy is ripping off Adam Sandler.

Yeah but Petan has more skill than all those guys combined. I mean really.. Thorburn? Peluso? Slater even, how long will he be healthy for, Tangradi, These are guys that, well quite frankly they are what they are. Petan has more skill than all of them combined. He's been the best player on the ice this pre-season. Well it's not a surprise to me but after the coach's comment last night about guys who should not be here,Tangradi has been put on waivers. And the first thought to my mind when he said that was Tangradi. good to hear, don't need scrubs or guys like that on the team. Comes a time where some guys gotta crap or get off the pot, happy to hear tangradi has been put on waivers. Honestly, after last nights debacle, i'm surprised more guys haven't been but it really was just one game but... Honestly, Tangradi, Ellerby,Clitsome even (maybe ill give him the benefit of the doubt a bit with his injury he had but..) have all looked pretty awful.

Who is McDuffie, doesn't he play for Hamilton, don't we have a McGuffie and isn't he playing tomorrow/later tonight?/

Pretty sure i had one of those a long time ago, i can't recall his name exactly but isn't he a transformer of some kind? Pretty neat though.

Unumba leads the team in special teams tackles by quite the wide margin. That's why he's on the roster.

Ya, only one UR penalty. Whooo! Delete- no point really. Some of you have ripped on Kuale the second we announced he was signed and can't even give him credit when he actually has a good game. Guess maybe why kromah is off is not because of Kuale but because Sears is on the roster, In order to keep sears on, you gotta take another import off... Kromah is that guy as he has done next to nothing the last several weeks now. started with a bang but has fizzled out a wee bit.

The difference between farley mccarthy and the new bigger girl who is pretty funny regardless if she plays the same role most times, that's what all good comedians do really ,find a niche and then roll with it, but the difference is.. Farley for as funny as he was, was a huge drug addict. That's the real only difference. They are all the same, they all play the same roles in every skit movie etc, they were all the "fat person"... sometimes that fat person is pretty damn funny just being themselves.

Perhaps we have those better American OL already here, Tyler didn't look terrible last game and Anderson on the PR will definitely get his shot eventually and my guess is once he does get that shot, he probably doesn't relinquish it, Think they are very high on him and won't throw him in there until they have too to give him the best chance to succeed. Think he does once given that chance, based on nothing but... everything i've heard and how high they appear to be on him. Really the Oline could be half decent with just a couple upgrades here and there... I don't see us picking up any Oline via free agency, every year we want that to happen and every year, no real impact canadian OL make it to free agency, they only make it to free agency if they want too and for the most part, the really really good ones, they don't so i think if we are looking to upgrade our Canadian OL, it's going to have to be through draft and development. It's really the only way. Teams don't trade all star OL and all star OL don't make it to free agency. Every off season people get up in arms cuz we didn't sign the big name OL free agent but that big name OL free agent didn't even make it to free agency. Not gonna solve the OL issues through free agency. Draft Draft Draft.. If Goossen is ready to play next season full time at center, who knows. I see value in Morley as he is a versatile player who actually can play all positions on the line, a good guy to have around as your 6th ol. a plug n play type of player. It's really just the tackles who i think might be in house already and one guard position that needs to be upgraded. That shouldn't be that difficult to do. Will it happen? hard to say, does it have to happen for this team to be more successful, Yes it does and until it does, it is what it is. Honestly.. Anderson,Greaves,Goossen,??,Tyler. Morley is probably a pretty decent group.

Lowry makes the team. I'm sure about that, Petan, not so much. Oh theres no doubt Lowry makes the team but he is the easier one to send down, He just gets sent down to St Johns, could get called up anytime. I'm not sure about Petan either but the guy has tons of skill and i'm not sure what he gains by dominating the WHL another year, With the "injuries" we have right now, I think it's likely he sticks for the time being. Can say what you will but... the guy has looked pretty darn good in every game he's played, sure he makes the odd rookie mistake, but so does Ladd and he's a veteran. In all honesty if i had to choose one play who has stood out the most in the games ive watched (all of the pre-season games) It's petan, dude is playing with scrubs and has put up some points and is a plus player.

Not a huge fan but "radioactive" is a pretty good tune for sure, They put on quite the show at the Grammys and in reality, they are a pretty big name. Honestly, every year the CFL announces the half time act, some people aren't thrilled. Last year it was Hedley, not a fan at all, their one song is ok only cuz i've heard it 10000000 times but... Honestly they put on a pretty good show, Imagine Dragons are guaranteed to put on a good show. That's all that really matters. As far as Hitler goes, i remember having play dates with the young future nazi leader and everytime my mom asked little hitler if he wanted something to drink, he'd say anything but juice so even back then you can tell he'd be a little trouble maker in the future.

The D outside of giving up running yards vs SASK really, has played quite well and seems to be getting better, Etch should be safe. Marcel? I dunno, personally i think we can do better but... probably be pretty tough to replace a guy like that unless you bring in someone familliar with Willy, Cortez/Lapolice? Both won't happen though so I don't see the OC or DC going anywhere, Special teams? Maybe but... at the same time, doubtful.

I think Petan if he shows well tonight sticks, I'm gonna guess Morrissey sticks aswell, i don't care what anyone on the big breakfast or any media idiot really says, they really do just talk out their ass most the time. Jets lack skill big time, Petan and Morrissey brings a ton of skill. Everyone high on Lowry because he's hit a few guys, but... Petans skill level is so much more than lowry, Petan could play anyrole on any line, Lowry? He's not a top 6 guy at all, he doesn't have the Offense to be a top 6 guy. Petan and Morrissey both get their 9 games for sure, after that? who knows.

Kuale probably had his best game as a bomber last week, For as much love as Kromah seems to get, he's been pretty invisible out there the last few weeks.

I'm all for giving Volny more touches, but reality is, we don't even give Grigsby enough touches so I'm not sure making Volny the starter is the answer and I'm pretty positive it's not going to happen. Volny is a good capable i suppose backup, he's good in limited reps but... he will never be anything more than that. I mean really, the issue here isn't really the RB, it's the oline, if they aren't opening holes for Grigsby, they won't open holes for Volny. Honestly, I'm under the impression that it doesn't matter who the RB is, heck even a guy like Cornish, I'm not even sure he'd do much behind this oline. Our problem is we don't run the ball enough at times, but that problem probably exists because we don't have much faith in our oline to get the job done. Grigsby is better than Volny by a long shot, overall he's just so much better so i guess, if the idea is to get Willy killed, Sure go ahead and play Volny. If i'm an opposing DC and i see Volny lined up in the backfield, i totally ignore him and just send the house at Willy. Volny isn't a threat.

Just for the record, i'm on the side of logic meaning the headset malfunctioned, That's really the only logical explanation considering that was what has been said multiple times now. Not sure why someone IN BC seems to think otherwise, and the explaining of the microphone TSN stuff was in response to Brandon who keeps going on and on about it was quiet in the stadium, It doesn't matter how quiet it is in the stadium or how loud it is really if the headset isn't working. The headset is used for MB to communicate the plays to Willy. If that mucked up then really, It's not like MB is yelling the plays to WIlly over a megaphone for gods sake, he's saying it to willys headset in his helmet, If that messed up then how quiet it was in the stadium makes no difference at all, hell people could have been hooting and hollaring as loud as they wanted too be and it still wouldn't matter if the headset mucked up like it did. Jesus, why is it so hard for people to understand that how loud or quiet in the stadium doesn't matter if the headset in willys helmet messed up.

This topic is funny cuz it's a debate about 2 guys who haven't been playing this year... Is Adebayo really any better than Pall? I dunno man, It's not like either of these guys would really make that much of a difference, Just like Pall hasn't made much of a difference here (has he really been given that chance yet tho), I doubt adebayo does anything much in Edmonton either, if he's even given the chance. This seems to be one of those... Let's revisit this in the off-season when both are free agents cuz they both aren't very good actually threads. Honestly, both these guys have stuck around because they are Canadian. That's it. In the CFL, your passport matters cuz if it didn't, both these guys would be unemployed. I want to make a comparison though, just for fun... Yesterday i ate a banana, it was kind of bruised, a little black to be honest cuz i didn't put it in the fridge at work, anyways though i still ate it, later in the day i went to the bathroom and in the toilet, sure enough there was poop. Today i decided to keep my banana in the fridge, i ate it on break, went to bathroom later and in the toilet again was poop. Guess what i'm saying is eventually, both adebayo and pall will be evacuated from the CFLs bowels and be permanently flushed cuz they both are crap. Comparing crap to crap really.

I don't see how trading our Canadians helps us, We lack Canadian depth so now we want to trade it? Doesn't make sense to me at all. Oh and anyone who thinks we can get a starting Canadian oline or dline for Watson, you have got to be kidding me. When was the last time a team traded a starting Canadian oline for a Canadian receiver who is injured all the time? Never? So not sure why it would start now. Are GM's dumber now a days than they were in the past? Only way you could probably trade Watson for a Canadian Olineman is if they Canadian Olineman was injured most the time too and how does that help us again? Seriously, reading some of these posts, one would almost assume some of you think we could get like Josh Bourke or some all star for Watson, NOT GONNA HAPPEN. At best we'd probably get a guy like Neufeld or Who was that guy we traded woodson for from Toronto? Parenteau? Yeah a guy like that, You ain't getting much for Watson so the best thing to do is hang on to him until you have someone who can replace him. As much as some think that guy exists, he doesn't right now. Draft Nic Demski? Sure then maybe we can think about moving Watson.

They already threw Crompton away for White, why not Nichols too? I can't imagine why Edmonton would want to help the Riders though. They won't unless SASK gives them something that will help them more. Seriously, a canadian receiver and a 1st round pick? My guess is they do it.. what's the rumor? bagg and a 1st? Edmonton be crazy not to do that.

Unamba has probably kept his spot because he is by far our best special teams player and leads the team in special teams tackles. Unless i'm mistaken but i doubt it, pretty sure he leads the team in special teams tackles and it's not even close. Unamba seems to get crapped on a bit but my guess is if you took him out of the line up, you'd notice how important he actually was to special teams. Sears? Meh he's a good player but the guy can't stay healthy, you got people wanting to trade watson a canadian because he can't stay healthy yet sears has missed as much if not more time than watson has the last couple years. Problem with sears is he's good when healthy but he's not that healthy always.
