  1. Baseless speculation from a week ago
  2. I don't think it's like that at all, I actually think theres 1 group who wants to get rid of willy so badly that they really don't have any clue what they are talking about and would be the first to be complaining when Nichols gets hurt or struggles and we are forced to play Davis. Then theres the other group, who tend to see the big picture a bit more, who perhaps aren't fooled by what Nichols is doing because they have seen it before, and realize that despite what a couple people say, Willy will see the field again and we will need Willy eventually. Perhaps sitting right now is best for him, he's obviously got some mental hurdles to figure out, but... gonna need him eventually to come in and when he does, cuz it is a when he does, not an if, it's when cuz Nichols is not this saviour that some people are making him out to be, Then we will see what happens. Nobody is pretending that Drew Willy is the man, or some god, everyone to a man or woman, has agreed that he has struggled this year BIG TIME. I see nobody on here saying he hasn't. I actually think, i'll take that line there and change a name up.... They're so convinced that Nichols is the man, and of his 2 games of hype and ignore the rest of his career that they want to get rid of Willy because they ignore the flaws in Nichols. This isn't about Drew Willy vs Matt Nichols.. it never has been, never will be, anyone who thinks it is... they are out to lunch. Stop making it about Nichols vs Willy.. It's not, Pretty sure most people here are bomber fans, i say most cuz i read comments about wanting to get rid of Willy and think, well, maybe not all people are fans... because the bottom line is in the CFL, you need 2 QB's.... despite what some say, we have 2 good enough QB's right now in Willy and Nichols... Nichols and Willy, whatever.... No freaking way you get rid of Willy cuz Nichols has had 2 good games, just like No way you'd get rid of Nichols if Willy does the same when he's back starting. What's frustrating to read? People basically hoping Willy fails...That's frustrating to read. Cuz Bottom line, if you want a player to fail, I'm not sure how much of a fan you are in the first place.... Like i said, I'm pretty sure most people are bomber fans, and as bomber fans, don't we all jsut want the team to win? Does it matter if it's Nichols or Willy who is the QB? It shouldn't, but apparently to some, it does matter.
  3. I like McDuffie but I think you should be able to find a returner who can contribute a bit more on O or D. McDuffie is ok on O but... he's nothing special and never will be. Surely you could find a guy who can return kicks and punts and can contribute a bit more on either O or D. I like McDuffie but if I'm the bombers I'm certainly trying to find a guy who can replace him.
  4. Luck? Maybe if you win a game on a 50 yard fg with no time left. That's luck. But winning by a score of 37 to 11? Yeah that's not luck.... that's an ass wooping. Bombers were the better team vs Hamilton and have been both times they played them this year. If anything I'd say Hamilton is kind of lucky cuz while 37 11 is an ass wooping.... it could have been way more. We beat them earlier 28 24... luck? Nope. Should have been another ass wooping. Wonder if Ottawa fans right now think they were lucky to beat edmonton tonight cuz hey... Reilly threw a pick that lead to the winning Ottawa fg. Probably not tho.... because bottom line... they won. That's all that matters Not sure why you'd say this game was luck... I mean we won by 26 points... no luck required. Why can't you just be happy we won the game? Cuz man winning by 26 and saying we were lucky makes me think you be trolling people bro
  5. And that's the end of Reilly and his 300 yard streak. Bombers in 3rd place in the west. Whaaaaatttt
  6. I thought the red zone was the 20 yard line
  7. And not everyone wants to play in these games either.
  8. Eddie and Tie weren't really that big of players here. Eddie works for NBC hockey. No Housley and the others who are coaching couldn't play cuz their teams probably play that night. In the big picture that game is meaningless. I mean it's cool and all but it's meaningless. The Nashville game... Ducks....Rangers etc games are more important than a heritage old timers hockey game This game only really means something to the fans. And obviously some players but you aren't gonna skip your day job to come play a meaningless old timers game. Bottom line is. ... not everyone can participate in this game
  9. If you think about it they are paying respect to their WHA and early 80s days. Yeah Teemu Teppo and Essensa are there but really it's about the WHA and the 80s. It's an ok roster for sure. It's not as star studded as the oilers roster but the bottom line is.... no roster was as star studded as that roster. Domi had a cup of coffee here. Housley is coaching. So Is Arniel Carlyle and McLean. Eddie O ? Sure but he also works for NBC doesn't he? The reality is.... because they left for 20 years really.... our history really doesn't consist of that many players. No ryan Smyth who just recently retired for the Jets. Zhamnov and Tkachuk I bet were never options. I bet Khabibulin wasn't either. They have their 90s star with Teemu pretty much. I think a guy like Rick Tabarachi or Tim Chevelday would have received a call as goalies but maybe they feel goalie bob is enough
  10. Jerseys Look Good, Jets heritage classic roster looks like it's gonna get it's ass handed to them tho.
  11. Ticats were to busy changing in to their pajamas by the end of the game.
  12. I think you'd have to give it to the 18000 or so fans who stuck around for 2.5 hours really during the delay. I think those people definitely deserve some huge props... 18000 or so but.. on TV, it sounded like way more. a very loud 18,000. Probably a very drunk and very full 18,000 but still... i'd imagine the bathrooms got quite the workout last night... But as for the on field stuff 1. Special Teams - I can't really single anyone out in particular, D Jones maybe? Kyle Knox? What speed on that guy.. WOW... but the unit as a whole were very very good 2. Fogg- Dude is cousins with Brandon Banks, and seems to be almost as dangerous as Banks is on returns 3. Thomas "No Pickles or " Mayo. - Who expected that? Kid with the funky hair had himself a game.
  13. Lol. Wouldn't care. The 20 month old went to sleep at 1030, she watched about 20 minutes of the game with me lol and then went up to bed with her mother lol.
  14. I was thinking 15,000 is kind of a weak fine for basically saying screw you to the ratio rules. Jones knew exactly what he was doing also, he was trying to cheat.... a more appropriate fine would be 1. take away their draft pick (yeah i'm talking first rounder here next year) and 2. making them play their next game with 1 less DI. That would make them think twice for sure.
  15. Disagree. I think every team follows the ratio rules, i think the riders didn't and got caught. The reason why this doesn't happen more often is because 99 percent of the teams in the league follow the ratio rules. Just cuz 1 team gets caught doesn't mean other teams are doing it, all it means is the team doing it got caught. You can bet your Arse that if the bombers or stamps or argos or als or lions or cats or redblacks or esks did it, they would be caught and fined also.
  16. O TDs and 3 picks will do that I guess.
  17. You better win a game when your D and Special Teams cause 6 turnovers and your 0 has none.
  18. Said it in a couple threads... seems appropriate here also. At one point, it was 21-0 and the bombers 0 had 92 total yards. Field position was ridiculous.
  19. I don't even think I could say that the O was very good, they were just efficient i think. At one point, bombers had 92 total yards on 0 and were winning 21-0. That's insane and unheard of really. That's ultra efficient. Sometimes, it's about being efficient, making the other team pay for their mistakes and last night in the first half, yeah they left some points on the board, like i said in the other thread, easily EASILY could have been 42-0 at half instead of 34-0 but... they made the ticats pay for their mistakes. Football is all about field position really, Masoli threw for 300 plus yards? that's great but all it did was result in 11 points. Nichols threw for what? 250? yet the final score was 37-11. Funny game for sure. Sometimes, stats are for losers for sure.
  20. I thought the play calling was kind of aggressive in the second half, i mean, if you watch it again, Nichols does try to make a lot of deep throws on first down... didn't connect on many of them at all tho, but the aggressiveness was still there, the execution tho wasn't.
  21. I think if you get 6 turnovers from your D and special teams then yeah.... teams could throw for 500 yards a game and it probably doesn't matter.
  22. I believe the looks on Hamiltons players faces and body language at the half did say the game was over but i also agree that the game wasn't over at the half. The bombers need to find that killer instinct, This is now 2 games in a row where they have had a very quick start only to do nothing the rest of the way pretty much. That is concerning for sure. Last week Edmonton, and yeah it was garbage time but Edmonton almost came back and tied the game.... Hot starts are good but in my opinion, you need to play for the full 60 minutes and these last 2 games, wins, and that's nice but these last 2 games, we have not played for the full 60 minutes, we have ridiculous hot starts that might not be sustainable long term, but then go to sleep on O for long periods of time. Concerning for sure. I'm enjoying the wins but these guys still have a ways to go until they are legit contenders for sure.
  23. It was 34-0 at half but easily could have been 42-0 at half... So they did leave points on the field for sure, But i mean, i guess that's just nit picking a bit... but... It's true... If you get the ball in the red zone to start a drive, coming away with a fg isn't good enough, you need a TD... Yeah we won the game and that's all that really mattered but... at the same time, we did leave some points on the field.
  24. People need to watch the second half again, the play calling was fine. It was the execution that wasn't there. Nichols went deep many many times in the second half, mainly on first down actually, leaving us in 2nd and long lots.
  25. Kane makes 2 much money, you gotta ask yourself, with expansion coming up, is he one of the players you'd want to protect? A lot of teams would probably say no... maybe 1 or 2 might protect him over some other player right now... but most certainly wouldn't. He's a problem child. He has issues, they are real legit issues, these issues seem to follow him wherever he goes. I highly doubt that he gets much back at all if he's traded. He's really not worth that much at all, he's a headache, for a guy who is overpaid and has a couple years left on his deal and is a massive problem off the ice, yeah, i don't see it.
