  1. NO. Marve to lots of people, who 17 is talking about really were proclaiming him to be the saviour and second coming, say he's gonna take Willys job and all this nonsense. I'm not sure where those people are anymore either. It's pretty obvious the guy either just doesn't get it, doesn't have the brains really, or just doesn't have the ability.. or both really. Seen it so many times, the 2nd or 3rd stringer getting all this fanfare, play him and he's not good and people just don't want to accept it. I'll be honest, I think Marve has some potential but only as a 3rd string short yardage guy, Justin Goltz 2.0 really.... I'm at the point where i'm not sure if it's worth it to keep trying Marve anymore, Definitely can't play Brohm but honestly, i dunno if he'd be any worse than Marve was.
  2. Waggoner seems to be getting the HENOC Muamba treatment here, lots of people were shitting on Henoc his first year, perhaps some people put to high of expectations on guys and when they don't meet those ridiculously high expectations immediately, they are a waste really. Not comparing the 2 but... It's pretty similar the treatment waggoner is getting here. Is our Oline bad? part of me thinks not really, part of me thinks we have 3 solid pieces, 2 of those happens to be rookies in Goossen and Chungh and ofcourse Bryant... Part of me, a large part of me thinks our oline looks worse than they are because of our O schemes, MB really. I think if you fire MB, you will see that the oline while not dominating, that takes more than 9 games really, they aren't as bad as they appear to be. I think the olines biggest problem is MB, outside of the one guard and center position when Picard plays really... but for the most part, they aren't as bad as they appear to be. This MB in montreal in 2007 thing with a good oline and AC, made them look awful, fired and the next year, they looked very good. The oline has changed a bit from last year but the results are similar, it tells me it's not so much the talent as it is the Schemes they are running, that's on MB really.
  3. Well, not to be that guy but apparently, you can base this on just a guess, but i think a pretty damn good guess at that... some other team obviously felt highly enough on Waggoner to offer their first round pick too, BC is my guess and they aren't much better than we are right now. If at all actually. Bombers only used their first round pick cuz some other team or even teams wanted to use theirs on waggoner too. and Honestly, this is kind of a moot point at the moment talking about next years draft.. who knows what happens between now and then... maybe we make a trade and get a first round pick, who really knows. Greaves and or Neufeld could very well get us a first round pick from somebody.
  4. Can't build a house without a foundation. A good team builds from the O Line out as the foundation. We don't have it.. Thing is tho, there are tons of blocks out there to build a house out of, you just need to go down to the home depot or whatever to get them and they will send you all the blocks you need in bulk, even some extra. That's not how it works in the canadian draft... last game 2 of those blocks played tho, Goossen and Chungh, Bryant is good also so they have the start of this foundation... but unlike building a house, there is no home depot when it comes to the oline, you have to draft them, you don't have to draft them in round 1 either. Honestly, this was walters second draft... he took oline in the first round in both... both look to have some ability to play, I didn't think Goossen was that awful last game and i don't think Chungh has been terrible either but they are still rookies really and with rookies, come mistakes, it takes time. It's rare to find an oline who can step in and dominate right away, it really is. Labatte is the exception not the norm really. Honestly, you can talk of building a house all you want, but in my opinion... this is more like tearing down the old one and building a new one from scratch, that doesn't happen over night really. it takes time.
  5. I'll tell you this much, you bring in higgins and you keep MB and the same stuff will happen next year. MB has a history of this crap, going back to Montreal... that team with a very good oline gave up the most sacks in the league, he was fired and next season with the same oline and the same AC, they gave up like 26 sacks all season long. People are so quick to point the blame at the head coach when in reality, a head coach who has lost the room looks like Chamblin in SASK, not O'shea in WPG. The depth and the Offensive play calling is killing this team right now. It's what killed it last year too... do we not see the pattern here?
  6. Waggoner has looked good on special teams... He's going to be a very good player for us down the road, he already is on special teams. Honestly, I think our oline isn't as awful as some make it out to be, i think its more the O schemes really... I go back to MB in Montreal with AC... Als had a very good oline and have for some time, when MB was OC, they gave up the most sacks in the league.. They fired his ass and the next year with the same oline pretty much, gave up like 26 sacks. No doubt the center and one guard spot needs to be upgraded here but... I think the oline looks worse than they actually are because of the OC.
  7. Time to see what Davis is all about... He couldn't be worse.
  8. LOL at Scott Walker.. Dude is a joke actually. Just do some basic research on the guy and you will find out how much of a joke he is.. Let's just say this.. Dude has a net worth of 72,000 dollars. He owes 50,000 on his sears card and also more money on his barclays card. Guy is a joke, big time and shouldn't and will never be taken seriously EVER.
  9. Honestly, there have been rumors and talk of this Iceplex expansion for some time and the second i heard the announcement was taking place at the ICEPLEX, i knew that this would be the reason. The True North Square announcement would happen downtown.
  10. I'll say this, to all those talking about firing O'shea... If you actually want to see what a coach who has obviously lost his entire team looks like.. look at Chamblin. He's lost them, O'shea is nowhere close to that at all... MB tho, yeah he can go but O'shea, he needs to stay. Give him some coordinators who actually know what they are doing, MB has a history of this crap really... and things would be different, i damn near guarantee it. It happened to Montreal the year after they fired MB also. Same would happen here.
  11. I find myself on the fence here a bit, I mean, if we could get some decent and really i just mean average QB play, we'd be alright i think. We would have a chance, I'm not counting on Drew coming back anytime soon and being the hero but I am hopeful that he comes back. Really tho, we need just average QB play, Marve was not average last game, he was well below average, it wasn't good, people talk about blowouts but at least in those games, we actually moved the ball a wee bit, this game... 136 yards of O, 96 through 3 quarters... That's pathetic and embarassing... yet at the half the game was 8-3 calgary... we were in it, that interception was the turning point for sure but... we were in it, our QB played average to maybe just below average in the first half (don't care about 11/12, it's average) cuz they were all 5 6 yard passes... but, we were in it. Find us a QB that can actually move the ball more than 5 yards a time and we will be right there fighting for 3rd... might be an east cross over this year but i don't think Montreal or Ottawa are as good as their records say they are... so it really is up in the air. Find us a QB that can move the ball, and we have a chance, if we don't... yeah no chance in hell. I'm not at the point of writing Marve off just yet but... honestly, almost. Brohm? He's a joke and should be cut today. I hope they give Davis more reps to see what he can do cuz honestly, i don't think he could do any worse than what we saw from both QB's last game.
  12. Cato was good for a couple weeks and fizzled. Franklin has played 1 game. To put them in the same sentence as BLM is ridiculous
  13. Chamblin is a dead man walking and knows it so he's saying eff you rider nation in the process
  14. Nobody is crowing but when you can't complete a pass more than 5 yards... next really. What seems to be wrong Is some people hoped Marve would be the saviour.. thought he was the second coming really and now after he's stunk it up for a game and a half let's say... can't admit that maybe the problem is indeed Marve. Nobody is happy about how marve played... everybody wanted him to do well but it's obvious he is lost and greener than goose crap. Can't even throw 10 yards with accuracy. That something wrong is the guy who touches the ball on every O play who put up like 96 yards of O in 3 quarters. We all wish he was better but... facts all point to he's not and he has a very long way to go. His performance was one of the worst QB performances in recent memory. Seriously. Was Boltus worse? I don't know at this point.
  15. I'm not sure we do deserve better if we resort to name calling.
  16. Yantz wasn't give a chance but he's done with football. I'd consider starting Davis. He couldn't be worse
  17. Yeah. I'd say 3 or 4 sacks were on Marve. A couple times he tripped on his own happy feet.
  18. Or you know don't play Marve cuz he hasn't been good since the first quarter vs the argos. Davis time really. He couldn't be worse really.
  19. Speed wasn't an issue when we had a quarterback who could pass playing. Speed drops when your quarterback does not have a clue. I have come to the conclusion that Marve just isn't very good. People are missing the point tho here. Blaming the D and all this. 136 total yards. Marve was awful and has shown very little. Honestly at this point I don't know if I'd start him next game.
  20. Marve also can't throw the ball more than 5 yards accurately. This is what happens when teams get film on you.
  21. MB has a history of sucking. It's easy to say fire O'shea and then next year have a new coach and when we suck again fire him and repeat really. But the real problem is the OC. 2 weeks to prepare and 136 yards total O later here we are. Last in points scored. Last in sacks against. Ask AC in Montreal cuz it's exactly what happened when MB was his oc too
  22. Imagine if O'Shea gets canned and MB promoted to head coach? That's why they need to fire MB now. Cuz yup he's the man if O'shea goes.
  23. With that said. Someone should tell the bombers to ask AC in Montreal about bellefool
  24. None of us are pro coaches but I do expect the QB to be able to make throws longer than 5 yards. Marve missed basic throws. Like seriously. Only looks for 2 guys. Moore and Denmark. That's it. You need your QB to throw the ball. Make basic throws. Marve couldn't do that. Yeah the play calling sucked but maybe it's cuz Marve isn't very good. Marvelous? Not even close.
