He's a free agent after this year. Vegas will have better goalies than pavelec is. He sucks. Everyone knows it. I suspect the Jets do also

I'm sure most teams keep 4 or 5 guys around town but if the number 96 is true then sweet baby Jesus that's troubling. 8 other teams x 5 guys kept around = 40. Riders apparently have 96. That's pretty ridiculous If true... take draft picks away. Fine them a million bucks and do more cuz fact is.... this is very troubling. The integrity of the league is at stake here.

Helle is waiver exempt. He SHOULD start with the Jets cuz he's their best goalie but.... it's likely he starts with the moose. They can't buy out pavelec. It's highly unlikely he's traded because he's terrible. Jets could send pav to the moose but it seems unlikely. Hutch is guaranteed to be with the Jets. They will not risk losing him to waivers and having to expose helle or sign pav to a new deal. I guarantee pavelec is not in the nhl next season. He's that bad. And just cuz you play for the moose don't mean you suck... sometimes it's a numbers game. I also think just because a few ppl think the Jets might compete this year doesn't mean that management does. Fact is ehlers is a 2nd yr player. Laine will be a rookie. SO will Connor. Morrissey will be a rookie Jet. Lots of young guys means lots of potential but also lots of growing pains. If pavelec is number 1 all year it means it's a developmental year.

They won't risk losing hutch to waivers. Then they'd either have to sign pav to a new deal or expose helle in the expansion draft. Reality Pav starts with the jets. Hutch is backup. Helle starts with moose. Pav gets 10 games to show what he can do. If he's ok he stays and helle spends 1 final year with the moose. If not... Pav goes on waivers. Helle takes his spot. Pav hutch probably start but helle hutch probably finish

Pavelec is a career 907 goaltender Hutch is a career 912 goaltender. Hutch played 30 games last year. Had a 907 save percentage Pav played 33 and had A 904 save percentage Pavelec is the worst goalie on the jets Roster by far. He flat out sucks and is overpaid

Don't see the point in Pav on the jets. He's not part of the future so I could see him being sent down for a year. I think hutch is guaranteed to be on the big club. They won't risk losing him. He signed 2 years so he could be exposed to Vegas. Helle is the future so I see no reason to keep pav around. He's done here after this year regardless so why keep him here. It makes no sense. Pavelec is the worst goalie in the league. Helle and Hutch can't be worse. Worst case scenario... they put up pav numbers for less than half of what pav is making. Done with pavelec. Lol at trading him. ... nobody wants him.

I like Austin but he fails to realize that it's not the attitude Era anymore and if you piss people off now you are punished. I watched it Also and thought Austin was a bit disrespectful

He is a crybaby for sure. However I have no issues with him talking crap about the tsn panel who think they seriously know it all. Huge whiner no doubt... always has been and always will be but.... does tend to get overlooked from time to time. Mike ford is 64 years old. Played 2 seasons with the Jets in the WCHL and parts of 4 seasons with the Jets in the WHA. Drafted by the red wings... 8th round 1972 draft. Not awful WHA numbers tho. Not sure who he is tho. That's just a quick Google search.

I don't think it's like that at all, I actually think theres 1 group who wants to get rid of willy so badly that they really don't have any clue what they are talking about and would be the first to be complaining when Nichols gets hurt or struggles and we are forced to play Davis. Then theres the other group, who tend to see the big picture a bit more, who perhaps aren't fooled by what Nichols is doing because they have seen it before, and realize that despite what a couple people say, Willy will see the field again and we will need Willy eventually. Perhaps sitting right now is best for him, he's obviously got some mental hurdles to figure out, but... gonna need him eventually to come in and when he does, cuz it is a when he does, not an if, it's when cuz Nichols is not this saviour that some people are making him out to be, Then we will see what happens. Nobody is pretending that Drew Willy is the man, or some god, everyone to a man or woman, has agreed that he has struggled this year BIG TIME. I see nobody on here saying he hasn't. I like McDuffie but I think you should be able to find a returner who can contribute a bit more on O or D. McDuffie is ok on O but... he's nothing special and never will be. Surely you could find a guy who can return kicks and punts and can contribute a bit more on either O or D. I like McDuffie but if I'm the bombers I'm certainly trying to find a guy who can replace him.
