I'm all for that. I believe all the coaches other than MB will be returning next season. So I don't think you'll see K Jones as QB coach. If you're taking away the new OC's autonomy to have a say in his own assistants... then don't get your hopes up on getting a quality candidate....

Good point... I can't believe our guys are just sitting on their hands while everyone else is scooping up all the available coaches... I mean, think about all hires the other teams are up to... BC, oh wait they just fired some people... well there's Calgary, oh no wait, they just did a restructuring that was planned for over a year... then definitely Sask, oh wait, they haven't actually hired anyone yet either....

Good for him... I'm not happy the CFL is losing the best Canadian RB to ever play in the league... but clearly his injuries are taking a toll so I'm happy to see he'll stop playing while he is still in good health...

The difference is accountability... if a beat guy of an NFL team doesn't properly cover the team... he won't be the beat guy for long.... the freep, sun, etc don't seem to care that their sports writers don't do much...

For the life of me I don't understand this approach, if they wait for the dust to settle they will be left with table scraps AGAIN. We're not in the market for the same thing (unfortunately)... I'm guessing that one or more of our OC candidates are also HC candidates with Sask so they are unwilling to commit till they've had a chance to, at least, talk to Sask... that being said... if our top OC candidates don't get the Sask HC job I will be very disappointed if our OC is not named ASAP...
