  1. Did anyone witness the total collapse of this team in 2014? Bring those clowns back and not only will tix sales suffer, we can expect more of the same in 2015. Bellefueille has never been an offensive co-ordinator of any worth and Etch. was sacked in his last go round and that wasn't even in the CFL. I hope O'Shea reads the writing on the wall or it will be his undoing. Continuing with ineptness leads to more of the same.
  2. I hope Wally and company are prepared for the final nail in Lulays career IF they play him. One good smack from those monsters on the Als. defence, especially that Bear guy, and it's all over for Travis. Stupid is as stupid does.
  3. I think Milo is leaving the door open. Nothing is definite in T.O, things have deteriorated there this year and I would expect some change. They also missed the playoffs and a gig as o.c. with his former pal 'might' be on his agenda. Big bucks for sure BUT it sure would help us out. O.K. so everyone is dreaming and speculating. Here's a scenario ..Trestman to T.O. and Milo comes here. Yes I am dreaming and speculating in hi-def.
  4. We may be in a serious drought but how many Cups does that wind blown (lots of wind) province have compared to us. Guess they forgot that little fact. One of their few was last year...this year I predict their playoff will be one and done. HO HO.
  5. IF'S, should've and could've are like stats., and are for losers. Let's get real and look ahead with some positivity. I think we've laid the ground work for a very good year coming up. There's only one way for us in the west and that is up. A sideline of this miserable mess of a year, is that we have a very good draft position in a very deep draft year. Forget what was and look forward to a more successful future. We have the makings.
  6. Are you complaining because we lose a player that didn't do anything for us and holding it up as a great move of the Als? A guy who isn't good enough to crack the Bombers roster with our serious lack of NI depth and this is the soapbox you get on? yikes. And so you think Popp is stupid and just goes around signing people to contracts because he likes to. He must have seen something and that could mean his versatility. Wake up my friend. Geez. No wonder we float around in a sea of mediocrity around here.
  7. Just look at the protection Crompton gets and what Willy had. Willy behind that kind of o line has us in the playoffs. Crompton behind ours, would have been given an apple and a road map by now. A broken Willy, that's sounds like big hurt no matter who you play for.
  8. Poop is always on the prowl. That's why his teams aren't far from the top year in and year out. He's not afraid to rock the boat and gives the finger to others in the league that don't like he what he does. I guess that makes him somewhat of a pariah but you can't knock his success. I was hoping we might get a little brave, when we were in dire straits with our o line, and take a shot at Peach on the stumps pr. Guess we're not the Popp type and were comfortable with the status quo. I know there's more than just protocol, among other things, when it comes to the pr. The player would have to actually want to come here and that's where the Bombers and Als. definitely part company. Hopefully we're more attractive in 15'. Too bad we lost such a versatile player in Norris. Guess that's the way the cookie crumbles around here.
  9. Kind of surprising considering Higgins was reportedly at odds with Popp when he first arrived. I guess when you consider the way the Als. have turned things around it was noticed by management. Winning certainly gives coaces a comfort zone alright, something that hasn't happened here for quite awhile. Higgins inherited a solid D AND one of the best o lines in the country. Good foundation for success. I also believe that Crompton was a small reason for their turnaround. Don't know what was wrong with Troy Smith but a fence post with hair could be successful behind that o line and Crompton is proving that. Take note Walters..success starts with a solid o line (something we don't have) and makes life a lot easier for your head coach.
  10. You gotta know ,that hellacious shot that Wild put on Price in the last play of our season, epitomized the frustration of 2014. I hope that kind of play by Wild leads right into next year. AND oh yeah, do we have a qb. controversy brewing. Marve reminded me a lot of Tommy Clements today. I liked what he gave the team in this one.
  11. Definitely a dif. when the play is in front of your bench and the coach is on top of it. The gm has no business during a game influencing an official. I've yet to see Walters pull off that stunt or any other gm for that matter. IF the play was offside (marginally),then Barker was blatantly.
  12. The officials seem to have curtailed this ' flagrant visits to the field of play' a few years ago but it has slipped back to the same ol'. What the hell is Barker doing coaching the ref. Young is right to point it out and if it occurs again the offending team should be given a 20 yarder. It's time we upped some of the penalty yardage on some of these infractions, maybe that'll send a message. Seems Barker feels like bouncing around on the sidelines is part of his gig. Someone from league office has to talk to the man.
  13. Any relation to Sean, late of the CFL. Someone must have something on the guy.
  14. Back up the money truck Walters and put out some big ones for Heenan. Would be nice to see a little payback for the Labatte theft. Holmes wouldn't be too bad either.
  15. Now the Leafs are a great organization to emulate. NOT. The team has a captured audience as season tickets are virtually willed from family member to family member. We don't have that luxury in the Peg. We better produce a winner or at least resemble one. That hasn't been the case the last few games and the empty seats are a testament to that. I hope and pray we can get our act together next year cuz I don't like what I see in the future. Blind followers we ain't.
  16. Some say we inherited a bad lot to go forward. I don' think so. We had a corps of very good players who should have been built around. We didn't inherit a lot of the present key coaching staff, they were chosen, and as far as I'm concerned are a failed bunch. O'Shea gets a pass because it is a new position for him, Etch. and Bellefueille, not so much. They were not very successful in the past and now we are reaping the result of their ineptness. They are not going to magically get better. I think the players genuinely like Mike but I also know they aren't that gullible as to believe Etch and Bellefool are going to take them to the promised land. One of the main reasons for another failed season (getting tired of this crap) is that we had a green head coach and poor recycled offensive and defensive co-ordinators. The change starts there. Failing to do that will only bring us more of the same.
  17. I'd like to see both Marve and Willy get playing time. We want to end the season on a winning note for sure. Cal. is more than likely wanting to play second stringers as they have nothing really at stake. However I'm sure Huff would like to keep his guys tuned up for the playoffs BUT we should want it more, if only to make a statement about next year. IF Willy is not getting it done as was the case in our last outing, I want to see what else we have. I hope Mike isn't afraid to make the change, if need be.
  18. In any business when you are incompetent you are shown the door. Making excuses for failure is only opening the door for more failure. Someone is going to have to answer for this total collapse and I'm sure Miller is very aware where the problems lie. I'd be surprised to see him want to continue with the same staff as presently exists. If you want an example of firings midseason, you only have to look at the Als. who got rid of the deadwood quickly and went on to hire people who appear to be succeeding. They look to be in better shape than us at present after firing a head coach and offensive co-ordinator midstream. This baloney about hanging on to failed coaches leads to promoting more failure. I believe O'Shea will survive his first year, some of his co-ordinators, not so much. Putting forth the same crew that has led to this midseason debacle is not going to fly. I look for changes not to just appease a blood thirsty fan group (and there is a lot) but to make this team better AND we can do better.
  19. From where I was sitting, it looked like Willy was running in cement. Very slow making his reads as well. Is he that banged up or is he just that type of plodding qb. If so, in either case, we'll need a super human o line so that our qb. can get the proper protection and Willy can get a passing play in. This rag tag outfit posing as an o line doesn't cut it. Also the holes Cotton was getting were due mostly to his diminutive size. He made lots happen on his own. In any case the first priority is to get an o line that works and is competent. I thought we'd at least see 'some' improvement in that area by now. Appears not to be the case.
  20. BIG mistake leaving Willy in when it was plain to see to everyone in the stadium he was not performing. Sure he has to get game experience but this was a game we had to win. Would Marve have pulled it off? We'll never know now. Mike has a lot to learn, and sticking with your starter when there was obvious ineptitude, and the chance to be injured, is nutz. I don't want to see Etch back here next year or Bellefool. If O'Shea sticks with these losers it could be his undoing. Well, on to next year and contemplate our high pick in the draft, AGAIN. Maybe if we can continue to pick up quality Canadian talent with high pics we'll have a winner by 2025.
  21. So is Joseph one and done and heading back to his wheelchair. C'mon....even if Durant is throwing (tentatively I bet) it doesn't mean he'll be ready for game action anytime soon. Rider coolaid.
  22. I wonder if Lawless still thinks Heenan is the answer and that we should drop a bundle on him in fa. He wasn't that great and Willis was eating his lunch all game.. He looked like he wanted to play himself off the club. However on further thought , he could fit right in here.
  23. Joseph surprised the hell out of me after he took a few shots and kept on tickin. I don't think he'll be that lucky IF they have to go with him in a playoff game and the intensity is ratched up.
  24. So we want to bring in a guy who has slipped from oc to special teams. I think we can do better than that.
  25. What a waste of space and cash. One of the worst offseason deals made.
