  1. Kind of sucks for Smith, if he wanted to catch on with someone else. Grigsby has the opportunity to and that's the difference between us and Mont. We're the nice guys and it seems we always finish last. Popp can be a real knob and has the rep. of finishing first. Maybe we have to be a little more cutthroat in our approach in this business. Playing by all the rules has netted us sweet bugger all.
  2. Agreed about players going 'off' on twitter. It's hard for O'Shea to control that. That's why some of these guys better re-read what they've put out there. Could be nothing but trouble to follow.
  3. Saying goodbye to the quitters is always a good way to start over. Anymore care to leave now...stand-up and be counted, should be the refrain from Mike. I think we may have a few more judging by our last 2 lacklustre performances .
  4. The source of this mess can also be attributed to hiring friends and or acquaintances. I'm pretty sure the Tracey hire fits that category and most likely Etch. They both have to go. Belefueille should also be on the bubble. They're incompetent. Mike also has to figure out that you can't be buddy buddy and act like a player. You won't get much accountability with that scenario. This team did not show up for two games now. If O'Shea can't see the huge red flags, then he better take a good long snort of the stuff he has at the bench. Wake-up Mike.
  5. Pathetic and more 'I quit this year' play by the Bombers. Bye bye.
  6. Riders stinking it up in Mont. They must have loaded up on poutine yesterday, the way they're arses are draggin in this one. Can't wait till they have to insert ol folks. Will they win another one the rest of the way? lol Looks good on those melonmunchers.
  7. Gives a whole new meaning to 'folded like a cheap suit'. I bet you could've fried a steak on the back of Austins neck after that one. Argos took a big step toward securing top of the heap in the east. Can they hold it?
  8. ol folks Joseph???? Panic button pressed real hard in riderville lol. Hey Migs, Durant must be around the corner alright. Around the corner waiting with a wheelchair for his replacement to show up. What a laugher.
  9. Leos look very beatable. Their vaunted d just took a hit with Ronnie Yell one of their best dbs looking like he's done and with Harris gone, they're hurting bad. They do have a gimme coming to town with the RedB'S up next, but after that it gets tough. I'd say we have the tougher grind but the door is still open a crack. Pull it together O'Shea, were still in it...by a thread.
  10. Yeah Gary, I bet Heenan is falling all over himself to sign on with the bluengold. A truckload of cash resembling Durants salary wouldn't even get it done. Get serious. I'm not saying don't try, but let's find some serious solutions to our problems instead of these airy fairy ideas. Start by going after this Horton guy released in argo land. Not an o line player but certainly wouldn't hurt to have a look at him at linebacker. Guess Gary didn't notice we're thin in that area. Find some solutions now, not in next year country.
  11. The tackling on this team resembles a player trying to do his best to get out of the way of the opposition. Kind of wave at the guy, fall down and hope you can grab an ankle. Laying a solid hit on the opposition player (running backs for sure) is out of the question. The 'steamrolled' look is what I picture our guys as having. Sad says indeed in Bomberland AGAIN and it's back to fundamentals, or at least it bloody well better be. Signed Disgusted.
  12. It all started going wrong when Stubler decided to go to Cal. and we got stuck with Etch. It looked like a 'consolation' hire. His defences are erratic and were not that successful in the past, once the opposition caught on. We are stuck with him now till the end of the season. If Mike doesn't pull the pin on this guy, we will be in the same jackpot we're in now. I will really start to judge O'Sheas decision making if Etch is kept around. I'm not that sold on our offensive genius either. Turbulent times ahead AGAIN.
  13. No discipline, lousy special teams co-ordinator, lousy offensive co-ordinator, lousy d co-ordinator.Just a few of the problems plaguing this team. Good luck Mike O with this junk. Another disappointing year to add to the pile of losing seasons.
  14. Done and done. Not the law firm but this club has finished up their season against a bunch of near-do-wells. The hopelessness in this town continues.
  15. So with all the resources available to Napkin boy, then he shouldn't have much trouble finding a replacement for DD. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Taman is most likely mulling over which draft pic he is going to have to cough up and or player, to get it done. Much like he did here.
  16. Says he's ready to go at db as well. He'd like to add another Cup win to his already impressive collection. Go Kenny.
  17. Although I agree with most of what Doug said, it's not easy for fans of a team that hasn't won the Cup in 24 years to not express concern. Anytime there is a slide, like what is occurring now, it's easy to see why the locals get a bit antsy. Sure we've made progress, but outdoing that clown show from last year, wasn't that hard to accomplish. We're still a long way from the 'promised land', as Brown likes to put it, and the feeling of futility of no Cup appearance is always there, especially IF we don't at least make a playoff spot. Should we have expected that? I think the possibility of that was a definite or close to it early on in the season, and to see it evaporate has a lot of fans wondering about the regression. The fact is we can still make post season play if we get out of this funk and get a few injured guys back. I don't agree with already looking at next year, like Doug infers, not when there's still hope in 2014. I guess I've always been a guy with the 'glass is half full' type, and I wish a few more of the media guys in this city had the same bent. Meanwhile on to Ottawa and start turning this thing around.
  18. AND Tito Sunshine is most likely going to be their man as Durant, will in all likelihood not be back, and a trade is pie in the sky.
  19. Brown has done nothing this year and as I've said Logan hasn't been having a great year. Should be a good test for them this weekend in the hammer. IF they drop that one...game on.
  20. Logan is the go to guy with Harris gone and Logan hasn't been all that impressive this year. The leos have taken a hit and just might be catchable if we can get our act together. Lots of rumblings on the lions site, that it might be tough to finish the year successfully, with a chunk of their offence gone. Tough break for Harris. Really like the kid and hope he recovers to continue his career. I'm hoping one year he'll end up wearing bluengold. Dare to dream.
  21. Let's see, the guy just had an operation and he's going to return to form, to deliver the goods. Sounds like a lot of bunk. Even if he could start throwing again his arm strength will have been diminished. If they thought Sunseri was bad, bring Durant back early and watch him skip a few IF he could do that. Also Taman is so confident in having his no 1 guy back, that he's trying to play let's make a deal. What a bunch of nonsense brought to you by the melon wearing spin guys. lol
  22. I think the Esks. saw a wounded duck and went for the throat. The riders without Durant are up the creek and post season play without him will be short and sweet. Looks good on those melonheads.
  23. You mean that Willy is as hard as nails. I'm pretty sure you meant to say HARD. Yeah, hard and Willy just seem to be synonymous. This kid is one tough s.o.b. AND twice the qb. that Collaros is.
