Durant was shaking the dust off and was looking like the ol Darian, then his bad leg kicked in....He was limping notably when he left at the half...Miraculously though (ahem) he came out throwing strikes again until the last quarter...Was it that he was not in game shape or was his torn Achilles starting to act up...?? Personally I don't think he makes the year..He's one wrong move on that leg and he could be done .. He clearly can't plant and throw the long ball and chooses to dink and dunk down field...If he goes down the riders, if they weren't in trouble before, will certainly be behind the eight ball...Enough about rider troubles...we have a few of our own and I hope our qb. snaps out of it today...We need this win badly.

Number 1 is get over this psychological bent that 'we never win there'...I don't know how many times I've heard,read or picked-up somewhere is that 'we might as well mail in the 2 points and stay home'...I hope none of the players read or pick-up on that crap and take it to heart...The stumps are a very beatable club...Just get in there and do it...We have the talent and looking at their lineup for tomorrow shouldn't scare anyone.

Hellman that's for sure...this guy will spread their D and then some....(boredom setting in I guess, to come up with that)

Here's a crazy thought to add to the disillusionment...How about trading for Travis Lulay ....Sound crazy???not according to the rumourville and Pedersen in Regina...He says Bombers are talking to the Leos and that another club is involved.....This could be someone dreaming up a crazy scenario to further drive us into depression...orrrrrr maybe not.

In the second half when the Als were still catchable, I was watching Lapo at the bench when Willy over threw the receiver once again...I don't know what was going on in his head but he looked as shell shocked as Willy...I'm sure he was thinking...'maybe I should have kept my gig at tsn'...Promised land looks a long way off at the present and I wish I could say 'It'll be a lot better next game' BUT we've been down this bloody road so many times I'm losing track..If fans are down this much after our first beating...what are they going to be like if this crap continues into game 2,3,4,5,...I don't like where this is going but it could be a reality.

How long do we keep saying this...till Labour Day....We have a tough schedule on the horizon and this so called 'very beatable team' stuffed us...Don't like what I see coming and neither do most of the Bomber faithful..

IF the Als. were supposed to be a bad team and occupy the basement, where the hell does that leave us...Willy stunk the joint out...People were saying he didn't look good in camp and he continues to regress..I wouldn't keep him behind centre if he starts the next game like he did this one...'Short leash' him and give Nichols a shot...I don't know if it will be much of an improvement but we have to shake this guy up...Franklin is available apparently in Edm.....Maybe we should be the ones inquiring instead of the riders...Other than Harris, Jace Davis, and Randle and to some extent Ryan Smith we looked like crap to put it mildly...Medlock atoned for his first miss with the 58 yarder and looked alright...after that...not much...I know we'll hear the same ol story....it takes time to jell...Well that is true to some extent but I know one thing...the patience in Bomberland is wearing awful thin and if this club plays like this in the next 5 games, we'll be O-fer and Mike O better start packing his bags.

He did have a good game against the Als. last time out...Rather have Harris healthy though.

I hope Glenn comes out slingin'...we should be good for a pic or two...As far as us, Lapo, Willy and company are going to drop the possum charade and we are going to test the Als. secondary bigtime...Did ya here that Mr. Ryan...heh heh..

Could anyone realistically say that we should let Castillo walk after the pre-season he had...NO way we cut him and have another club grab him in a nanosecond...Especially the green team to the west and the cats down east...I'm tired of seeing assets this club has garnered, walk and star with other teams..(ex. Paredes for one)...It's about time we held on to talent and if a deal comes along that we can't refuse...pull the trigger...As someone stated already, for now Castillo is good insurance, and we'll just have to find someway to work around the fact he is an international.

Class and Jones do not correlate....We are handling it the right way... a big departure from days gone by when we parted ways with some players in ...'let's just say'... a shoddy manner...

Power outage in Sask.....seems the Jones team had one as well...They looked like crap..Keeping their starting qb. in bubble wrap is a real laugher..If rider fans don't see Durant next game, the melon heads are going to start exploding....B.C. actually looked half-decent...except their uni's ....gawd awful...And the name plates on the riders jerseys looked like license plates gone wrong...Glad we looked great in our first outing, compared to that junk.

Yes....I am sort of a contradiction in terms..lol Of course I'm looking forward to the game...BUT I like it more when we are playing for 2 points and has some meaning...I couldn't ever not get excited about my favourite game...I know it means jobs for the young players, I just wished it had more meaning,,, Can't wait till kickoff time...There you go another small contradiction...LOL

Preseason tilts....a big meh....Nice to see it is televised though, so we can get a good look at the offseason recruits playing against someone other than themselves...A few I'll have my eye on ... Besides Loffler and Corney, will be the Def. end positions...I know Westerman is a lock but since Cole went down I want to get a good look at who is replacing him..It'll be a very interesting battle on who is going to be the returner for this club...Veltung, McDuffie, and Anderson competing for the gig is going to be very interesting...I'm predicting one of these guys is going to take it to the house or damn near tonight...Looking forward to some very competetive actcheeeon...
