    Game time: 9 PM TSN3
Storyline: the rematch on the West Coast.
Jets load up at the trade deadline, and the rosters expand. New players won’t debut until Monday, but the first of a back-to-back. Brossoit to start apparently.

Prukop with Jackson lead blocking would have scored that TD.

There was a reason for that. When football started to transition to the "soccer style" kickers in the late 60's, they had no coaches anywhere who knew how to coach these new type of kickers. It took until the first wave of new kickers retired in the mid to late 70's & started coaching themselves that the kicking game slowly began to improve.
A lot of these kickers still had to play other positions. Ted Gerela was the CFL's first soccer style kicker but was also a linebacker for the Lions when he broke into the league in 1967/68. Guys used to practice alone with no coaching. They ended up practicing their mistakes & really not improving as kickers as no one was there to help them. Considering everything they went thru, these pioneers actually did okay.
Walt McKee was the Bombers first soccer style kicker in 1972 & he was a career 52% kicker. That was actually considered pretty good back then. The change was on as the kickers revolutionized the position. There are no more straight on kickers anymore. Today, kids as young as 10 years of age can sign up for kicking camps everywhere, It's no wonder that great kickers now have stats percentages in the mid to high 80's.

Jets’ flu vs Seattle’s back-to-back fatigue: which takes hold first?
To be fair Jets have carried the play and shot chances are almost 2:1, but Seattle’s transition odd-man rushes are killing us tonight.

Jets playing well in the o zone but giving up more odd man rushes this game against.  It’s kinda seems every missed shot or Seattle save leads to 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 or breakaways.

What TSN says is he never fumbled and never lost one. It does not mention turnovers on downs. And I know for a fact those stats are not completely accurate. In his one game as a Bomber rushing he failed on a 3rd and goal QB sneak attempt against Hamilton, and after that Dru Brown became the short yardage QB until they brought Prukop back and cut Pigrome. Once in Ottawa he failed on two more 3rd and short attempts. His most infamous gaffe was in a   3 point loss to the Ti-Cats where he had 3 cracks from the Hamilton 1 yard line to punch it in and got zero yards each time (in fact he fumbled the 2nd down play but his teammate recovered it).

Just a reminder that Perfetti just turned 22 at the start of the year. This is his second full season and third overall. He had 8 goals, 22 assists last year for 30 points in 51 games, is 14-16-30 this year with a quarter season to go (on pace for 19-22-41). Scheifele by comparison at 22 was in his 4th season (2nd full) and had 15 goals, 33 assists, 49 points in a full 82 game season, and in his third year was 13 goals. 21 assists, 34 points in 63 games. So fairly comparable numbers, Scheifele a bit ahead. Way too early to call for a trade IMO.
