  1. He has evolved his game, and its the survival of the fleetest.
  2. Maybe he will blossom there, enough to stem the tide of pessimism before he has to leaf. Maybe enough for the team to take root before he has to petal his wares elsewhere.
  3. From what I've seen of Brescasin, he might be better than Wolitarsky. Brittleness may be a concern, though.
  4. That's what you want us to believe....
  5. Some families are really, really enmeshed.
  6. History says that he will be there a year, maybe two. The NFL chews up and spits out quarterbacks like sunflower seeds.
  7. To the endangered species list?
  8. I've already copyrighted that.
  9. Nichols' contract length is irrelevant as he can be released any time up to Labour Day, and neither he nor MBT are the long-term answer for the Double Blue. Its gonna be interesting to see who emerges as the starter and I expect that there will be a lot of tag-teaming behind center this year.
  10. Its a slow off-season. Have mercy.
  11. At first thought, I recoiled at the prospect of Pipkin as #3 QB here, but, come to think of it, he hasn't had the string of poor performances and losses that most of the others have. God knows, he is athletic and if he can control his temper and impulsiveness, he might be a good pickup. I remember how incensed he was when others on the Als played poorly and essentially gave the games away. If that passion can be channeled, who knows?
  12. I've already copyrighted that.
  13. Wouldn't be the first or the last. I give you Donald Trump as an example.
  14. Makes sense. Both African-Americans and Catholics are acquainted with rhythm and blues.
  15. Plus, I am sure, a comprehensive health and dismemberment insurance policy.
  16. Most are married,I think.
  17. I would bet that J-Lo made more at half-time than either Grey Cup team.
  18. IWWT (In Walters we trust)
  19. I hope you are not aspiring to be Terry Jones of Westboro Baptist Church.
  20. There is a very scary precedent here. In the late 50's, two rednecks in Alabama shot and killed two black men for no particular reason. The evidence was absolute and uncontested, and the two miscreants even admitted to the killings in an interview with a magazine, but the jury acquitted them, with no directed verdict or appeal filed. When interviewed, the jury members said there was no doubt that the two accused did the killing but acquitted them because they believed there was nothing wrong with whites killing Negroes. That sort of thinking is rife in much of the US and in the GOP.
  21. Whatever morals the GOP claimed to have had have been completely abandoned. Trumps' attorneys have given thousands of dollars to the re-election campaigns of all the GOP senators who sat in judgement on Trump, and they have taken the position that the abuse of power never happened, that it was legal, and finally, that it didn't matter. According to constitutional scholars, this is a massive step towards a fascist dictatorship in the US. Now that Trump has been given absolution and blanket immunity for any future actions, he will run wild, and so will his followers.
  22. My vote is for Rhymes. Very under-rated.
  23. Success in life is all about timing.
  24. If the Bomber passing game picks up where it left off, it will take a lot of heat off Harris. He might not get as many yards as 2019, but he ought to be a lot less beat up, and his yards per carry should go up.
