We never should have fired Berry.  He made the playoffs all three years and got fired for it.  Ridiculous.

team is still going to lose games with a different coach which is the real reason fans lose interest. The #1 reason I don't want to see a midseason firing is I don't want them to have the easy way out of just sticking with whichever interim guy they hire. Hall and Lapo are both too passive for my liking as head coaches. 

The whole argument about how difficult a schedule is, based on who we play, is garbage. If you want to be the best, you need to beat the best. When we are constantly at the bottom of the league looking up we will always have a difficult schedule...

We have won 1 freaking game this year. We haven't won back to back games for almost 2 years. It's been years since we've even scored more than 30 points. O'Shea's record is 13-27. How much worse do you think it's going to get under a different HC?

Drew Willy has officially lost me.
At this point, he's the problem. No, the OL is not perfect - but they are the best unit we've had in years. No, the receivers are not always making the great catches, but they're a strong group that we could win with. Andrew Harris? Working his tail off.
None of that means anything when Willy is not making the throws he needs to make. He's mentally shattered at this point and you can see it in his actions in the pocket - any time he gets a moment to actually think about a play, he blows it. Ask him to complete a quick three step drop and fire? He's going to be on the money, but you can't do that up and down the field and expect to win football games. He has yet to hit a receiver IN STRIDE over 20 yards this year and we're four games in. He has no touch on the deep ball this year at all. He can't escape even intermediate levels of pressure in the pocket.
He's been absolutely horrible and at this point, for the first time in three years, I'm starting to think of things like "what's it going to take to get James Franklin here?" instead of wondering what we can do to help our franchise QB. We don't have a franchise QB anymore.

The oline excuse is getting tiresome. Willy had time to throw on lots of plays but couldn't execute

Exciting game.  D really stepped up.  Great game by Maurice.  Liked what I saw from Paddy on the last play when he threw whoever it was that decided to give a little shot at us.
Thought Loffler made a couple nice plays on the rush.  Hall actually calling some blitzes.  Agree with Whiteout that with 6 turnovers we shud have put them away earlier.  Still lots of room to improve especially on O.

Medlock needs to make his kicks.  Game is over after 3 if he does.

Awesome win. The defense really showed up and basically dragged a win out of the Hammer. We can't expect to get 6 turnovers every game from the other team, though, this game should have been a much bigger spread. Willy was, ok, but really needed to ice the game away much earlier. 

Well, O'Shea's job as HC is to have the entire team ready to play.

The SAM linebacker is basically an extra DB, that position is often tasked with covering slots. 

As far as my own "negative" approach.....
The bottom line......  Bombers overall play is not getting it done, and the results are falling far short (yet again) of any reasonable expectation.....
This makes it pretty difficult to accurately report on the play, during games...or make any kind of evaluation of some (ok, most) positions on this team....without it being somewhat "negative" in both content and tone....
Believe me....it would be far more satisfying and for that matter, fun.....to be able to toss out plaudits, lolypops, and be able to stick out my chest more often.   Instead of having MY team a figure of fun, or an object of pity....
The fans do their part...... in investing money, time, and emotion in their team.    When "payback" in the form of good play and winning doesn't happen....there will always be a letdown.    No amount of BS, excuses and wishful thinking  will fix or compensate for this....

we fired Lapo twice before mostly because he was too passive so I don't buy that. He's the same old Lapo. Why did we expect different results? we saw him here twice before and thought so much of him that we fired him.
