I actually dont think 4 years is long. Especially since his highest positino of authority was special teams coordinator. For 4 years. That`s it. And then he was handed the keys to our franchise. Just ridiculous lack of judgement by our BOD and Walters.

So because Hamilton has burst into flames that some how proves what? Edmonton did fine without O'Reilly, Calgary did fine without Bo Levi, BC was no better or worse without Lulay. Would Winnipeg be better with Willy?? Of course. But the rest of the team, sans QB, it's not even close. Our team is garbage from coaching to players. And Ottawa had to start from 0, and they're 1 win away from a Grey Cup appearance. 2 wins and they'll do in 2 years what we can't do in 25.
 
if that isn't making you're blood boil as a bomber fan you've probably -and rightfully- given up for your health.
 
btw, Drew Willys winning % for games he's started isn't something to brag about it. It actually kind of sucks. 

The health factor is one thing....  the coaching and roster management was simply much better.    
 
Ottawa dumped their scraps...  Chevon Walker and Jasper Simmons... while we took on these scraps who showed just as little if not less then what they had shown before.  
 
A huge issue I have is that we can't recruit for crap.    

I would actually be relieved if O'Shea was let go.  Heading into next season with the real possibility of achieving the same results is betting too much on "hope" imo.  Fan apathy will kick in much quicker next year if the same old, same old, reveals itself early on, and by Labour Day IGF will be as cheerful as a morgue.
 
I just don't think O'Shea knows which buttons to push to motivate this team.  Players who should have been fighting for their jobs tonight played like they didn't believe it or just didn't care.

When I realized that it was official, that we are now at 25 years of no championships 100%, I kind of got angry for about 10 seconds. I thought of all the years this team has let me down. The Grey Cup in Montreal vs Calgary comes to mind. Losing the Riders in Toronto. Bumbling all the years of Khari and Milt and choking them away in the playoffs (Losing the Cup, then the west  final, then the semi final). The embarrassment of the unfinished business campaign; the ugliest jerseys in pro sports for the last 3 (three?) years; the stadium debacle; and generally cheap management who would sooner clink plastic wine glasses at an Earls and celebrate money saved than doing things correctly.
 
Then it quickly turned to numb apathy. I grew up watching this team because my Brother, Dad, and Grandfather watched this team and loved them with me. My Dad lives in Calgary across town from me and doesn't care anymore, my brothers is in Windsor and is a Lions fan, and my Grandfather has long since passed. There's no one else here in town who cares. Why do I? This team does nothing but find new and hillarious ways to crap on all of us. The newest one is to bring back the clownshow that brought us 2 years of more terrible football. Blame Willy being hurt all you want. This team  stinks from safety to runningback and everything in between. But if you listen to some posters here, we should bring back the same crew of idiots who put this crap show together. It's like a beaten woman defending her abusive loser husband, scared of change because continuity and sticking by your man is some how perceived as admirable. It's not. It's short sighted, and gutless.
 
This franchise is a pox on my recreational life. I spend many a nights/afternoons unwinding from work watching them and it's been the worst bargain of my life for the last 25 years. I'd have been better off converting to a Stamps fan when I moved her a long time ago, but I had too much pride in my hometown to do so. In short, #&^$ this team.

Since starting 5-1 in 2014, we've been 7-22. Can we really justify bringing either of them back?

why do you think it takes 5 years to build a good team in a 9 team league? with such high roster turn over from every team year to year?

It's a NINE team league. Teams are very transient. The idea you need a 5 year plan in the CFL to turn things around is absurd. MOS and Walters are flat lining, if not going backwards. There's dozens of examples demonstrating that you dont need to give every regime 3 years minimum to prove they can do it. Either you make good choices at hiring and signing or you don't. This crew of losers have proved they cant. Move on.

Nichols had a fantastic game. His fumble deep in Sask territory is definitely on him, but anyone blaming him for the interception or other fumble is high. He got smoked from behind hard... if that was Willy in the pocket no one would question it. And the pick? Receiver got 2 hands on it and proceeded to lateral it to a Rider. Not on Nichols.

I see a lot of buzz words and phrases. 
Patience. Build for success. Build a foundation.

I feel these phrases are being used by people who want to justify their own blind faith. This is a 9 team transient league. Roster turn over is remarkable and very fast paced. Ottawa in year 2 of their expansion team is already miles ahead of us. In the CFL the difference between a good team and bad one is management. Calgary, Toronto, and even Saskatchewan have been very competitive and consistent for years and they've done it with the same recipe: smart moves for coaching staff and players.
 
You either make good personnel decisions or you don't. This team is actually looking like it might be worse this year than last year. And people want to give the keys to these same bozos again? Why? So we can all feel good about being patient and giving people time to build a foundation? There's no foundation here. It's another shanty built on a beach. The Bombers are the worst built team in the CFL by a mile... and there's no reason to think that Walters has the ability to turn this around. He hired a 3 year special teams coordinator to be our coach. A coach who's been so badly out maneuvered in a season and a half by the rest of the league it's actually becoming an ordeal to watch this team in the 2nd half of games. Walters also failed to address our Qb situation and left this team with an injury prone QB with no one behind him. No one. Not to mention insisting on keeping MB... the worst OC in the CFL.
 
I fully believe and agree you should give people time to build something. But this trio of guys are showing they dont have the decision making or football intelligence to compete with the rest of the league. To earn patience you should have to demonstrate some form of improvement. There is none.

I would take this kind of post from you more seriously if you made the same excuses for Marve. You didn't. You chose to crap all over him instead.

Forget our Grey Cup drought, we've had one winning season since 2008. It's no surprise that our fans are growing restless.
