Our D problems are solved!
Edit: Whoops, misread that as "Sam Hurl"
We all have Sam Hurl misunderstood. On the coach's show when asked why Singleton had a gazillion tackles and Hurl had three, MOS explained it this way. Sam Hurl has a duty out there and it's to make sure everyone is on the same page. He's not there to tackle but more like an overseer. Singleton does not have to worry about his guys so that frees him to tackle as his heart's content.
But... on Sunday the overseer kind of blew his assingment. Nobody was on the same page, not even in the same book.

It was 50 minutes of garbage time, a weak half hearted effort all around by a team that looked unprepared and uninspired. Maybe Davis could have/will give them a spark?
You've made your point. Give it a rest. Nichols had 364 yards of passing. Not good enough for you?

This game was so Willy. In the first half we would throw 4 yards on first down and 4 yards on second. We never got going until we started to throw for over 10 yards. They were hanging 5 yards off the LOS like vultures and just waiting. Surely with a three men rush we could have given Nichols more time.
Next week, payback time!

Unfortunately, with the way the Riders are playing, combined with the Labour Day factor, I think the Bombers getting wrecked on Sunday is a near certainty. I would put my money on a Rider blowout Sunday, and a Bomber squeaker in the Banjo Bowl. The Riders defence is good enough to keep it close in the latter, and the Bombers defence bad enough to get destroyed in the former.
Not convinced that is correct. If we can get a few long ones early they won't be able to go with eight guys within 15 years of the line of scrimmage. I think Montreal played us as tough as Riders might. Harris over the MLB would change some plans and Nichols showed he could do that. Until proven otherwise, my money is with the 5 game streak.

Starts next game ... this Bomber team needs to break that ridiculous streak this year, stat!!!
Got to be hard up when 2 games become a streak! In Saskatchewan one game is a streak, two... a Grey Cup finalist.

Nobody is trolling, its a football discussion. You guys are rightfully defending your team and so am I. That what's great about the CFL. Relax, your team is 7-2.
You're not here to discuss football. You're here to brag about your team.

Dennis was struggling at T for whatever reason. Last week at OG he dominated Brooks (whom IMO is top 3 DT's in the league). Case in point the Marshall TD from the 1yard line where he pancaked Brooks who was injured on the play.
And yes the Riders did lose big against the Lions the week previous, good teams rebound after tough losses and win big. That's what the Riders did.
I think just maybe Edmonton might have that feeling too!

Uh, nobody said one game does that. Take a look at Nichols' stats and the team's record since he became the starting QB: 21 GP, nearly 6,000 passing yards, 31 TDs and 13 INTs. And a 16-5 record.
Wasting your time. Those numbers are too big for a person from Saskatchewan to understand. 3-15 or 5-13 are the outer limits.

The operative word in this thing is: Won, Big W , 2 pints, Best the best. Ok, wide sweep .

No problem Booch, we pull a Jonesie and take Jeffcoat and make him an offensive lineman to replace Bond for no real reason.

A well deserved victory for Winnipeg. Still am a little unsettled on the offensive play calling, we seem content to settle for field goals when we get inside their 30. Think there has to be a more distinct effort to salt away the games early. Other than that I thought it was an all round good game. BUT and I don't want to rain on the parade, BUT it was Hamilton and they are not a good team right now. I believe our true test will be when we play Edmonton. The Sask games should be victories if they continue on the same path but that means we beat the teams below us and we have to beat the teams above us to be successful. In any event if we continue at this rate, beat the teams below us that is, we will cross over to the east and get a bye I believe. Easy way to the Grey Cup. The team is rounding into forum and if that continues I will gladly take back my words that I have posted here before. Again cautious only because the wins are against low standing teams BUT nonetheless wins.
Sorry to rain on your parade but I for one truly believe we can go against the best and win. In the last two games Edmonton has not set the league on fire. High hopes... there's goes a million kilowatts.
