I guess I was just hoping he would send a stronger message. I know the season isn't over yet and Burke's fate is basically sealed, but really, all he's done is hemmed and hawed on the GM vacancy, sent out letters raising our ticket prices, and given a job to his business associate. 
 
Don't get me wrong, theres still a lot of time. Just would prefer he did first things first, like hire a GM. Preferably a very good one!

I don't have a problem with major decisions that clearly impact the future of the team and team finances being cleared through Miller. And I don't even mind Miller asking for a heads up on moves

I think what worries me is Miller being the defacto GM. I'm sure Mark Chipman is aware of moves Chevy makes but I bet Chevy doesn't have to check with Mark before he makes a trade.

Nothing against Miller. I have BIG issues with how our club has been managed. I want him to be different. So far, it hasn't been.

Gimme a break. Mack was a terrible GM.
 
His approach to free agency, trading with other teams, and handling the QB position we're all below average.
 
He also made poor coaching hirings and firings and last time I checked, had a losing record as commander.
 
Stats may be for losers but according to the stats, Mack is a loser.  

Saw a tweet from Penton that he thinks Walters will be the next GM b/c no other viable candidates will be interested. He said they're all worried that Miller will meddle.

Not my mandate, but you have to look at how the club has operated since Bauer's day and make your own assumptions. 

Agreed 100%, but a quality football man like Higgins (or especially Buono, Huffer) would smell right away that Miller will be meddling in football ops and balk at the deal
 
Isn't it interesting that just a few months ago Miller was saying he'd have nothing to do with personnel? How things have changed. 
 
If Walters is the new GM on paper -- which he obviously will be -- then personnel decisions will basically be "by GM Walters, pending Miller's approval."
 
For God sake, you think Wettenhall has such a system with Popp?

This is all so perplexing.  We want to hire the best GM available, and we don't want our President to meddle in football ops... but now there are rumours that the President's out trying to install a coach.

Perhaps the new HC in concert with the permanent GM should pick the coaching staff. Not Anyone else including Miller.

Pretty much unanimous around these parts that CD stays 'cause he's the best option, and that's well known around the league. But he's about the only one who should automatically stay. Everyone else, it's likely a good chance to clean house...

yeah and Dickenson is the one guy I've said I want to keep, here's the difference, Dickenson is widely regarded as one of the best ST coaches in the league where as Bellefeuille has never been regarded as one of the best offensive coordinators, not even close. 
 
The worst thing that this team can do is stand pat cause there were some late season improvements. We did that last year and look how that worked. 

Regarding our offensive improvement, we just played the worst defense in the league (other than possibly ours) back to back. People were saying the same thing about our offense after last season. We need a real search for a GM (I thought this was the plan as laid out by Miller), who needs the freedom to hire who he wants. Trying to hold onto  coaching pieces that you think might be responsible for "improvement" (now were still in the game until the fourth quarter before losing) is in part what led to this year's debacle.

Some of you guys talk like this team is on "the cusp" and just needs a QB to get us over the top.

Anyone with reading comprehension would say that you clearly have a lot of faith in the Bombers hiring practices, which is peculiar considering what's transpired the last 5-7 years. 
 
But I've also known Miller for 20 years so, well, let's just say I am VERY skeptical. 

Walters would be an awesome AGM. Hope he sticks around and continues to work the draft and learn the job.

Don't put any of that blame on the apathetic fans. If people on a forum like Morning Big Blue are apathetic towards this team, that falls completely on the Bombers.
 
If, God forbid, Tim Burke is back as head coach next season, I know I'm not alone as a diehard fan and season ticket holder in saying I'm completely done with this team. I'll watch the CFL, because I love the game of Canadian football, but I won't be cheering on this insanity. That itself would be insane!
