Uggghh, I feel more ill-informed after the game than before it, what a pathetic fan experience this TC has been so far.  Broken audio, reading gibberish tweets and watching 3 minute clips of some guy holding his phone sideways from the 92nd row....hopefully the Bombers have some excellent film on which to make decisions.  I for one am going back to staring at the roster sheet and playing eeny, meeny, miny, moe (keep Moe) as was the method commonly used before they invented electricity....

Agreed.  Home jerseys look great but I'm really diggin' the style of the aways.  I'm kinda suprised certain people are turned off by em.  I guess because they're not EXACTLY like the one's from the 80's, but all in all I think we got what we wanted.  Once we start seeing the whites in game action I think most are gonna start to love em.

I don't like the only the last quote showing feature, 3 or 4 to me is a good number. 10 is too high and I always try and crop ones going too far back out anyway, but in a lot of cases you need the context of a couple posts back.

IMWT. Look if Bell came on board in 2002 he's been here through some of the shittiest years for this club, why are we lamenting him being shown the door? Being a nice guy is great but maybe he's not good enough for what Miller wants to do? Gotta trust the guy because so far he seems to know what he is doing. 

Holy crap, talk about throwing around rumour and innuendo. The anti-Miller crowd is out in full force.
 
Seems to me changes from the past were in order and it looks like the changes mostly have been positive. 
Bell, as COO, has a nice ring to it, but if he's not "in" with the plan, I guess they had to move on.
Miller and Walters seem to be on the same plan long range and goal-wise and that's, at least, a very good start.
 
What I've also 'figured out' is that winning, also starts with 'W,' and I've already seen proof of that.

When the head coach doesn't believe in his players you get what we saw last year, a team that had no heart, no desire and an amazing ability to just give up you know why? Because the head coach had given up before the game even started. Look how different it is with O'Shea? He believes in the players, he lets them go out and make plays to win football games, he never uses excuses. Ravaged by injuries and getting really deep into the depth chart.... doesn't matter the coach thinks they should all be able to start so it's just next guy up make some plays. That trickles down through the entire team. Any one who doubts just how bad Burke was as head coach after seeing what O'Shea has managed to do is just flat out not paying attention. There haven't been THAT many changes to the roster you can pin it all on that.

You don't think a head coach who throws his players under the bus at every turn, who basically said that the talent level on the team isn't good enough to win, isn't a cancer in the room?  You don't think that stuff doesn't bring the team down.
 
Have you ever had a boss that everyone hated that when he walked into the room everyone shut up and was immediately on edge?    I was never in the locker room, so I can't say this is how it was, but based on what I saw of his interviews, how he composed himself, how he spoke, and what he said, I would have a very hard time respecting what he did and said as a player.
 
And that is the worst kind of cancer to bring to any team, because it permeates from the top down.

We wanted to send a reminder out to members of the board to be more aware of what they post on people in the public eye.  This can include players, coaches, members of the media, GMs, etc.   While it is valid, welcome, and encouraged to constructively criticize their work, name calling and derogatory insults are starting to get out of line.   Whenever you post something, consider the impact it would have on that person or that person's family.   You don't appear any smarter by putting someone down to get your point across.   Also, if you don't think a thread has any value, making a post in it to say that the thread is dumb or shouldn't have been made is really not necessary.  If you don't like the thread, don't post, don't read it, and move on.   This kind of nonsense at best discourages people from posting, and participation, at worst it creates a negative vibe to the board.  If a thread really isn't worthwhile, it will either be deleted or it will sink to the bottom of dead threads.  You posting in it, just draws more attention to it.   This site has not been heavily moderated since it opened, mostly because everyone here has been really great with good football discussion, and a great attitude.  We would like to keep it that way, and ask that you help out by taking 10 seconds before you hit the Post button to re-read what you've written, and perform a little self moderation so we don't have to.   We thank you all for your continued contribution and support. The new season is just around the corner, and we are all looking forward to a new and better season of Blue Bomber football!   The Moderation Team  

I'm surprised he's leaving with a year left on his current contract.  I would have guessed all along that Buck would have been the type to retire because he had to, not because he chose to.
Having said that, I think it's a good move that he's making the decision on his own terms. I'd welcome him back here for a job in personnel.

Some of you sure have some bizarre expectations. This was a press conference to introduce our new starting QB and you want them to provide an honest answer on whether or not he was their first choice or not?
 
"We'd like to introduce our new STARTING quarterback, Drew Willy! He wasn't our first or second choice but hey, he was available!"
 
And suggesting that because they're interested in upgrading the QB stable, they don't feel confident in Willy?

Remember Goltz's TD Red Zone % was #1 in the league this season prior to him being benched.....     so that point is fairly moot....

So that's why he was kept. They were waiting for his 4th win to fire him....
