He's currently sitting 17th in the league behind just about everyone in terms of pass attempts this season.  Give the guy a little rope here... geez!   Lots of QBs struggle in their first several games and go on to have great careers!   
I dont understand the panic.... Nichols was mediocre the bulk of the season so far.  To think that isnt replaceable is pretty closed minded!

Here’s the reality with Nichols ... he had a better than average (for him) night and tossed up three balls that were good looking - one to Lawler for a nice little gain, one to Woli that was just not executed and one to Matthews that the CGY DB made a good play on.
Rest of the game? Safe garbage. So predictable. Not scaring anyone. Not stomp on your throat, smash mouth, prove you can stop us, not nothing. Equal parts LaPolice and Nichols go into the conversation of why our O is so inept, but no matter what blame you wanna place where, the reality is our offense sucks.
Matthews didn’t forget how to play wideout, Lucky Whitehead hasn’t suddenly just forgotten how to be a weapon ... etc, etc, etc. We don’t use our weapons. If Grant doesn’t put two in the end zone tonight, we lose handily. Our O has been **** for a minimum of three games and the combo of play calling / QB play is showing absolutely zero signs of improvement. We may finish 13-5 but this year is not going to be a Grey Cup year.
as an aside, I always find it funny that people will crap on Willie Jefferson and justify it by singling out the odd notable play here and there when he isn’t elite but they’ll turn a blind eye to how atrociously mediocre Nichols is.

Is anybody saying wins are a bad thing? Obviously not.  Winning is always good.
But if Nichols' play does not improve then the Bombers won't keep winning - or rather, at least not win the most important games.  The Bombers are a really well built team and look like they'll be in contention late in the season. They'll win games and have won plenty the past few years. They have obviously been a very successful organization that just hasn't been able to break through for the big one. They need the QB play elevated for that to happen, in my opinion.

Nichols is so bad. SO bad.

It’s weird because last year we were complaining that Streveler looked like he was handcuffed trying to run a Nichols style offense.
 
This year its almost like they’re running something Streveler would be best suited to, but for Nichols. And he can’t do it.

"Against Rider QB's" seems a bit dramatic. Each team deals with cheap shots. When the Riders stop, then complain. 

I do recall laughing and poking fun from Rider fans when Buck constantly got his noggin smacked. 
It's not just Rider QBs. It's a league wide problem. 

That’s 100% one of those catches that looks way easier than it is to actually make. He had two guys beat and now all of a sudden, the throw is short and he’s essentially boxed out by two cover guys and has turned into a defender and people are saying it’s more on Adams. Kinda gets me confused to say the least.
Adams did his job on that play, he got wide f’n open for a free TD if the ball is on the mark. Nichols didn’t deliver.

Anyone who thinks they get to decide who a real fan is and isn't... based solely on how many home games they attend... all other factors be damned... ought to give their swollen head a shake. One day I was gifted 10 free tickets by Wade Miller himself simply because I look like a walking Bombers billboard every game day. I spend hours upon hours reading CFL news and lurking on fan forums. I nearly cried when Dinwiddie threw that pick and I probably will cry when we finally hoist the cup. I'm a fan and I'd challenge anyone to say to my face that I'm not - just because I buy flex packs instead of ST's.
 
Also if fans can only show support by spending money then I hope all these sanctimonious out of towners are buying the equivalent $ amount in merchandise, or recognize themselves as massive hypocrites.

I prefer smaller, more focused threads. It becomes too difficult to have any type of meaningful discussion about a player when competing with the entire topic of "Blue Bombers 2018 Training Camp". Had this argument once before as well.

People want to come here and read about big news.  Whether that is Adam Bighill signing in Winnipeg or Johnny Manziel signing in Hamilton.  We don't need to cram those into "Offseason Discussion".  I don't see why that is remotely necessary.  We are not in danger of running out of space, as far as I know.
I think there is a place for a "Bombers weekly thread" but if something big happens, like Matt Nichols going down with injury in practice, that NEEDS its own thread.  I should be able to come here and click on exactly the thread I want and read instant commentary from the community.
I agree with others that there is no need for "This is my random thought" threads.
But the absolute WORST thing is having someone come on here and post some news, and the first comment is "Why isn't this in mega-thread-123?"  How unbelievably annoying.
I'd like this site to be as accessible as possible.  The new season is starting and it would be nice to attract some new thoughts and viewpoints.  Having multiple clearly defined, smaller threads is the way to attract new readers who eventually become new posters.  It's all about speed and ease-of-use.

It's a scrub move to call out players using the MBB Twitter account. Put your own name beside it if you're going to throw around speciation like that
