  1. I'm sure what you meant to say was, the cop lied. You can't isolate any segment of society and label it. It would be closer to say - everybody lies...in some form or other.
  2. Is it the most points scored or who allowed the most shots?Shot percentage seems to be important.
  3. Psst, gbill - …………this is for you to have and use.
  4. Toby...or not Toby. That is not the question. Enstrom is a quiet but efficient D-man. The kind any team would like to have on their roster. Jets 1.0 - Teppo Numminen Jets 2.0 - Toby Enstrom I hope he's on the team for long, long time.
  5. Should be period. Period. Period.Shouldn't it?
  6. You can safely say every player on the team, Pavelec included, bailed out a lot of players in this game. But isn't that the exact point of team games? You pretty well can point out heroes and bums in every game. Just a little while ago Slater was a bum...today a contributor, Pavelec was a bum...today, good enough to win. Harrison is a so-so D man, we all know that, but hey, +3 today. Like I said, ain't stats fun? Let's just hope LA get swept away by an Avalanche tonight.
  7. Sure, but what relevance does that have to the defense that will be played this season and how Peach fits? None, but the same goes for any player who can be 'deemed' replaceable. The same would apply for Vega, although if he did suffer from 'turf toe', how much allowance does he get? I would love it if we cold get a pear of DEs that would make us forget the two we have now. My point was, Peach had a solid year, and he should get credit for that. That is all that it would buy him, or any 'solid' performance from any player going forward. We are, hopefully, always looking for better players.
  8. In a year where the defence would be considered below average, and the D-Line in that particular style of defence, considered to be below average, wouldn't that make Peach's above average performance (46 tackles - right in there with the league leaders at that position) and 7 sacks (the Bombers sack leader) to be deemed worthy of an above average rating...for last year?
  9. You and your buddies have the wrong position. You're talking as if the goalie was positioning himself for a shot from, well, anywhere on the ice. That goal was a moving play from Pavelec's left to right side from a player who had the puck on his forehand, but after a quick flip, it was on his backhand, which fooled the goalie, and it was a goal. NO goalie would be faulted for that. Rather the player, who made that terrific move, would be lauded by every hockey fan…save you and your buddies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6FNkT8iY4Ww
  10. This video should be tagged Zzzzzebrie Sanders. Isolated, it makes for unusual optics. It looks like the Bombers are leaving no stone (boulder in this case) unturned to get two solid, reliable OTs. About time.
  11. And yet this year the stats show he's 18th in save % and 17th in goals against avg. So is the team playing better in front of him?
  12. Can't say I agree with you. I've been watching a lot of hockey lately between the teams the Jets and the Canucks play and I have to say the Goaltending the Jets have been getting in the last little while has been more stable than not. They've even won a few games because of their G-tending more so than they've lost because of it. So to say Pavs is terrible is a little far far-fetched. As a matter of fact, you could say Pavelec is a big reason the Jets are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.
  13. Sure, people be moaning, and ignoring that we're not the only team on the ice. The Jets are playing some very good teams....tough. They're not getting the returns lately. But it's not from a lack of effort. Certainly, we have to keep things in perspective, but we can't ignore that this team is still playing well, and if they lose out, then we can say, they didn't deserve to make the playoffs...but only then. You have to remember, this is not the same team we started with. Being together longer..that I would have loved to see.
  14. Now that''s an opening for a line right there.
  15. What are we doing now? Daring Cameron? What? To come out and say - read the papers - I've nothing to say. Providing information this way is way better than in the past. Don't forget...it's what you do with the info provided.
  16. But I did learn something. If you read between the lyings, you'd learn that it is more unlikely now that we will move our 1st pick - that wasn't a given in previous weeks. Also, we're seeing more and more, the thought of moving away from drafting an O-lineman with the 1st pick. The Combine has done that with the showings of many players - offensive and defensive. I think that they're showing us that there are more combinations to think about, now that the Combine has come and gone, and that mock drafts are going to be more challenging this year.
  17. It will be a damn shame if this team misses the playoffs.
  18. I'm not afraid of making changes to the way converts are attempted, as long as they make sense. Right now, the converts are virtually automatic, so to try them from further away, seems to make sense. The no-yards calls for 5 yards - and adding yardage made, is much better than the way it is now. Interference calls, on either offence or defence, are very hard calls on the officials, but they should just work on the rules they have now, instead of adding restrictions. Not a fan of video review in any form, so.... IMO, these proposed changes will be worked out, and our game will remain pretty well the way it is...the best version of football period.
  19. Let's face it, it's Pavelec's most glaring weakness.
