  1. You could say the same thing about Sask playing a better offence..as opposed to what we provided last week.
  2. The reffing? How about the video reviews? Clearly, Denmark' s foot was shown to be an inch inside the sidelines. And Bucknor's alert play to recover Smith's handover...when he wasn't touched down? There was at least one more, but my memory...has to be reviewed.
  3. Spot a team 5 turnovers...give them 7 points..shut them down the rest of the way. That was an epic performance by the defence. Sure it was Sask., but they owned them tonight. Westerman, Turner, Peach, Cole - great game. Defence - 5 sacks, could have had 2-3 more. Leggett, Hurl and Bass were dominant. The secondary smothered the receivers. This D got help from an offence and it showed what they can do. Impressive to shut a team down when you initially have more turnovers than points...
  4. No, I would think you would know all positions before you put your best offer up. We have to be the best offer in the end, not the beginning for other teams to match or better. If their camp walks away from the best offer in the end, well...
  5. No, it would be in Transcona...closer to his family..
  6. C'mon, who does that kind of thing in professional ranks? That's middle school behaviour.
  7. Yeah, that's exactly right. And most of us knew this could happen. It makes me wonder, where would the mighty RedBlacks be without Burris's incredible resiliency? And what about Hamilton? Could Mathews or Masoli or J. Harris come anywhere close to what Collaros (league MVP) is doing? Hamilton would fare better, but c'mon, it would be a huge step down.
  8. 1) location 2) winning org. 3) money We can only match 1 of those three. Huge disappointment...but understandable.
  9. I GOT the message. Believe me, I did. This clown show will be allowed to continue because they need more time. Well, I'm a fan so I'll just have to put up with it. I have no control over what the Bombers do. Doesn't mean I have to like it. But I'll still be there for this team no matter what (sigh). Hey, that's some of the content, but not the message.
  10. Dragon37 Yeah well if "little" Wade is all mad and whatnot then there is a real simple cure. Put a winning team on the field. So far he and his crew haven't shown me they are capable of doing that. This is the CFL in the 2000's Wade building a team means you get progressively better not fundamentally worse. All I have seen from you is you improving your wardrobe from that money (of mine which I do not have to give you I might add and have to ask why I do give it to you when you basically field a collosially unentertaining team on the field). Thank your monkey Gary he pretty much just gave me the motivation NOT to renew next year. But you completely or conveniently, missed the message.
  11. That's a well written and fair article that Mr. Lawless took the time to put out for the masses. It's a reminder to step back, remember the whys of the hirings, and, while still being passionate, understand the process. Quite the Bomber Booster right there. Thanks for taking the time to paste it Noeller.
  12. Is there an end to your constant drivel? Or is this just the world you live in.Here's a thought...don't like the Bombers?...pick another team to "cheer" for. Please.
  13. I for one, am thrilled that we have a viable option fo this game on Saturday and not the curls and hooks from the snakes and ladders game that we've been subjected to. Nichols, will give us an offence and that will suit our defence just fine.
  14. Yes, and it's more than a shitload. It's more like shitshitshitload. Then, of course there the greenhouse effect of transporting the water, and waste water, to and from facilities.
  15. An aside, but you ever notice how much you use "honestly" in your posts....."honestly, is Arash a reliable source, really?" would be a common post.....I find it amusing. It's his "thing". And we shall now all make fun of it.Honestly? I don't think I will.
  16. Accountability would go a long way, but when a government goes all in, for for fossil fuels to drive the economy, and that's an argument for another time, then would't it make more sense to absolutely ensure these "pipelines" are thoroughly inspected, overseen and regulated as much as possible, with serious consideration to the land they must access, and the lakes they must encroach? So why less regulations and way less scientists and scientific studies who would work to ensure it's done properly?Oh, and appointing a Calgary-based petroleum executive (Steven Kelly) to the fed. agency that helps decide if oil and gas pipelines go forward isn't a good start.
  17. The freedom for territories and Provinces to oversee their own rivers and lakes without a Fed. Overseer seems dangerous to me. And this move, coupled with the muzzling of scientists who would be looking at the effects of this lack of protection scares me, and it should scare anyone who would like to think our resources include more than fuel fossils. And would it be a coincidence that this move would likely make it easier for pipelines to be constructed though pristine land?
  18. This trade is one of those weird circumstances where said player is on the lips of many posters to trade...for a bag of balls, pickled flower buds or draft picks. And then when it happens we're shocked...at least I was. Then I start to think, what is this Hervey guy up to? On the surface it looks like a great trade for the Bombers, but not too bad a trade fo the Eskimos. Depends on which player Hervey gets, the steady one from days gone by, or Mr. holding-out-his-hand-to-help-the-QB-up-guy. Who made the Grieveous error? Capers? Ehh..seems like a passer by, but could be useful for now. That draft pick though...that's big time recovery of a good asset. Well played. Goltz, Chauchy, C Simpson, Miles, Watson, Sorensen. And now Greaves
  19. Exactly why hundreds and hundreds of scientists have been muzzled especially when talks of the mighty tar-sands issue or pipelines comes to light. Then the stripping of federal protection of our lakes and rivers. Thanks to Harper's new Navigation Protection Act, 99 per cent of our lakes and rivers now have no federal protection according to Council of Canadians chairperson Maude Barlow. Documents reveal that the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association were the ones who initially pushed for these changes and Harper, of course, obliged.
  20. Harper has not been great for this country, he's been good to himself. His attacks on the environment, the veterans, scientists, his disrespect for the Chief Justice for the Supreme Court of Canada and the parliament and its rules has been truly appalling.
  21. If we win this weekend it will be because we a) have a more experienced QB and b. the QB was given more than a half dozen plays to execute c) no experimental receivers like Gordon in the lineup d) our defence plays well and lasts the whole game e) It's not possible for STs to screw up again (is it?) f) f for failure is not an option g) Greaves will be out of the lineup, which leads to h) a better running game altogether. I) and better protection j) the Bomber fans will be loud and give the needed support Oh, and I believe nothing can save MB's job at year's end.
  22. I'm glad you brought up Barker's name because he was under consideration for the job Mack was hired for. And, as I understand it, he literally flew over Winnipeg on his way to Toronto for his next interview. He wanted no part of what was happening here. Timing and availability also come into play. Austin was ready to come back to the CFL and Hamilton' s Bob Young was waiting with open arms...and his cheque book. I would agree that if a Milanovich, or an Austin, Hufnagel or deflated balls good friend Wally Buono, became available, we should go after them. We did start anew and it has to be played out with Walters and O'Shea, for one more year. That doesn't mean they have to hire inept help, but they should get the chance to finish what they started. With Willy at the helm, we finally have a chance. We never did have that chance at QB. Get that O-line fixed, and we're on our way. I can see that, but we desperately need an OC with vision, not a nickel and dimer. It's spelled p a t I e n c e, like 17 said.
  23. Do you really think MOS is going to say at his presser, "Yes, if we don't win this week and the offense still sucks, I'm firing Marcel"? Oshea says nothing at the best of times. O'Shea saying nothing is best at times.
  24. Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk Sam Longo in at left guard for the #Bombers today. Chris Greaves not practising. Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk Drew Willy has ditched the crutches today, but he's barely able to walk. #Bombers Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk Bryant Turner is back on the field today. #Bombers
  25. Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming RG Chris Greaves is a spectator today. International Sam Longo working with the #Bombers first-team O-line. This is right up the alley I was walking through. Get some better players on the inside O-line, no matter the nationality. This step is important if we want a better protection/running game effort for the new QB..or any QB for that matter.
