  1. But..but didn't Edmonton hire Ron Lancaster and his losing record as HC and do well with him?
  2. Obviously overlooked in the debate about which team vaulted to elite status ahead of others, is the QB status of the clubs. If you don't have a sustainable elite starter...you ain't going anywhere.
  3. Sorry to disappoint you but if the Bombers beat the aforementioned teams and everything else remains equal, then the Blue will be in the playoffs.I'd like to hear it. Beating BC and Montreal only will put us at 6-12 and that's not going to do it.Unless this is some wordplay thing. Then forget it. There is really nothing behind it. Winning those games puts us in position, everything else being equal, means we have to win our games, no matter against who, if and when those two teams win their games, no matter against who. If we set the pace...all the better. Oh, and there's nothing to fear in wordplay, no things at all.
  4. Sorry to disappoint you but if the Bombers beat the aforementioned teams and everything else remains equal, then the Blue will be in the playoffs.lol! First they have to beat those two bottom dwellers but that won't be enough. That is just two games. To make the playoffs they have to beat >.500 teams and so far each one they have played they have been crushed. Montreal and BC have shown they can beat >.500 teams so right now I have to give them the edge. Sorry. No need to be sorry. There is nothing in what I said that isn't true. Should I explain it to you?

  6. Denicos Allen was at Bombers TC as well. The very reason I would post Rider info here..
  7. #Riders add LB Denicos Allen, DB Kip Edwards, DL David Hunter to the practice roster.. http://t.co/k2hiOM88QLhttp://t.co/9Ka5ZC15y3
  8. With Cauchy getting 2 big interceptions in their last game, I don't think he's going to let Henoc ride on his coat tails, again, any time soon..
  9. Far too much kerfuffle over a harmless question. It's not a serious, actual situation, but it has created discussion...harmless discussion. So, what really is the problem?
  10. Arash Madani 1h1 hour ago Arash Madani ‏@ArashMadani On home game days, Jeff Tedford has *mandatory* film study at 1 pm in Surrey for 7 pm downtown kickoff. Absurd. Players out of routine. #CFL Arash Madani 1h1 hour ago Arash Madani ‏@ArashMadani 2/2: Been a number of captain meetings in BC; leaders have told Tedford of discontent and want for change. Ignored. Real tension there. #CFL Arash Madani ‏@ArashMadani 1/2 -- Per #CFL sources: A lot of discontent in the BC Lions locker room with head coach Jeff Tedford.
  11. It's not so much the fact that he is Tajh Boyd. It's the fact he is not Josh Portis, or Jason Boltus.
  12. I commend you on your memory tracker. Different kind of forum, I know, but that's a lot to recall.
  13. I'd sooner trust Nichols and his experience than experiencing games straight outta Crompton..
  14. Both Sask and the Lions could use Tate, though I don't see Calgary giving up their insurance. Why would they? Then they would be like us sans nichols or like BC is now. Im actually really happy that we got nichols when and for what we did.. He coulda fetched a bit more with the QB concerns still creeping up in BC and potentially Mtl. Yes, finally we are that team that snags a needed player and other fan boards are saying...why didn't we do that?
  15. Time for the....Brohm paper bags over their heads?
  16. This is a much better trade for a QB than the last trade we made for a QB with Hamilton..
  17. …….Mr. K has more illustrations in the group "We Are Blue And Gold" in Facebook.
  18. At your invitation, I watched it a number of times myself. I'm going with ever so slightly deflected, but the only way I could tell was that the trajectory of the ball was going to the front of his hands, then, it was slightly behind, causing a hand position change, a juggle and a somersault by M Harris who might have broke a fingernail on that play. Also, Harris seemed to be celebrating that he was in on the play. Circumstantial evidence to be sure, and that's what you get from 2 different viewings of the same play.
  19. I'll have to watch again, but according to a sharp-eyed fellow viewer, the interception first blamed on Nichols, then on Adams, was tipped by a defender, hence the ball juggling by Adams.
  20. Small thing to be pleased with? After the shoosterfunk that we've been subjected to at QB? After a handful of practices? After that horrible start? ...and playing behind yet another O-line combination? The very point is that our QB did make the plays..that moved the ball..that won the game..that we absolutely needed. It's a very big thing to be pleased with compared to what it would have been like around here without that "small" performance.
  21. Absolutely agree about Leggett. After that performance yesterday, it would be hard to move him from that spot. Hall used his players well in that game plan and they each tended to their assignments really well.
