In any event Jones leaving has made a bit of a mess of things. Left Sask in a bit of a lurch and subsequently the Riders are causing grief amongst other teams by wanting their coaches. No good. 
Find a coach Riders and leave other teams alone at this point in time. 

Fairly certain he was not under contract in 2010. Somebody should ask Arash why he's not dumping on Ottawa?

I am kinda scared. Stronson has it on good authority from his multitude of inside sources that Lapo is going to quit and take a year off, he is so mad. We all know that Stronson is not a fan forum member, he is a super secret CFL spy that knows everything going on behind the scenes of every club.
I totally agree with your take. January 20 is way too late in the game for teams to be replacing coordinators without weakening themselves greatly. Not sure why the Rider fans feel the Bombers are obligated to let Lapo possibly go at this stage of the game. Just because Craig Reynolds was too stupid to put a drop dead date on Jones leaving doesn't mean we have to be equally as dumb.

The reality is that it's just too late in the game, despite what people say, to let OC's go and replace them.  The REDBLACKS and the Bombers have nothing against their people advancing, not do they have anything against the Riders, they just have to look out for their own team's well being.They have a FA game plan to deploy soon and a fan base to answer to.

I'm surprised Oday was dumb enough to ask..."hey division rival, can we steal one of your coaches a few weeks before some really big moves will be made by every team?" Wtf did he expect. Riders are getting exactly what they asked for. 

I hope this doesn't turn out to be a big story. I can understand why LaPo would be upset and I'm sure Elizondo felt similar as well. 
But still, everyone including LaPo needs to also understand the situation.
If Jones leaving this late in the offseason was such a big blow to the Riders, why would any other team WILLINGLY bring that on themselves too?

Sure would be nice to hear from Paul and right from the horses mouth ...so to speak.....Who's Farhans source close to Lapolice.....the fly in his pants...This guy has been out to lunch on so many occasions it's hard to believe his take is credible ..Once again I'd like to hear straight from Paul on how upset he is...

@DarrinBauming Kyle Walters says the #Bombers have agreed to terms with National O-lineman Michael Couture @MCouture59. Couture still needs to put pen to paper, but now he will (assumedly) not hit free agency February 12.

- Riders lose head coach and general manager Chris Jones.
