This is a very unrecognizable feeling.. I mean, did we just pull the biggest, fattest rabbit out of a hat?
And Medlock? Talk about pulling yourself together.
A tip of the hat to MOS. Not an ordinary kick to the sidelines like every other team, but a perfectly executed kick to the hash marks, and the rest was pure will. Nichols getting that far on a run...whoa. Enormous effort.
And, of course, Harris, who is a RUNNING BACK...
We pulled something out of somewhere.Totally agree about both the kick and Nichols run,and Harris being Harris

I for one, hope the Riders beat Calgary.
The way some, maybe a lot of fans hate the Riders, I feel that way about the Stamps. I would love to see Calgary lose this game. Sask has the no 1 offence to this point. not impossible.
Best game last year was Grey Cup. watching the Stampeders eat a bit of humble pie. Very puzzling for them.
So far this season the great Bo levi hasn't look so hot.
Wow! One of my favorite old movies and I never thought about what a perfect comparison the 2 are.Well done Mark!(slow handclap).

I tried to hang out on both sites for a while (lurk mostly) but just slowly faded away from OB.I feel a nostalgic remorse at its demise but it's been a long time since I drifted back to check it out.

Very interesting.I just read it on the Bombers site.I hadn't heard anything about this.Could be a real boon for IGF and the Bombers. It could also be an utter disaster, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Two memories of Dieter - the night I was at the Stadium (before it was named Canad Inns) when Goodlow got his 100 receptions, and the game in 1984 when Dieter came back to Winnipeg as a Hamilton Tiger-Cat, and every time Dieter got sacked, mostly by Tyrone Jones, the Ghostbusters theme song would start up and everyone in the stands would start dancing and yelling "Brock Busters!" The Bombers won that game 48-16. Ahh...great memories.
I'd totally forgot about That! Thanks for the memory jump start.

I think Lapo was the best choice at this particular time. Some have posted that he was the "safe" choice as if that was a bad thing.I think he was the safe choice and that is a good thing. There is alot of anger and even worse, apathy about the Bombers.I really think they they absolutely can't blow this year off or the franchise could struggle. Lapo at worst will be competent and may be quite good. Most of the other candidates carry a greater risk and yes perhaps the chance to be spectacular. I've run alot of businesses over the years and I always found there was a time to roll the dice and a time to play safe.

I think in this instance the Bombers can't afford another "swing and a miss".If they have another bad year Icould see attendance falling off dramatically. Sometimes safe and uninspired is better.Lapo is at worst a competent OC.LaPo feels like an uninspired choice. Would have rather gone with a new, younger offensive guy. Think overall LaPo is pretty conservative.
That said I thought he did a good job adding wrinkles to the offense weekly when he was here as a HC, but then just didn't have the personnel.

Coupl of tweaks will go a long way. No extension for anybody unless we see dramatic improvement next year. Make em all earn an extension in their final year. I'm expecting big things if a quality, CFL-experienced OC shakes loose and we pick em up.
I agee with this.My question is, who would be the possble candidates for OC be? Who's available now and who might spring loose?

Basically its all speculation including the original story. There are a host of possibilities many of which have been mentioned and many we haven't thought of.I think (speculation again) Wade is VERY worried about the effects of this season on ticket sales.Apathy is settling in concerning the Bombers in Manitoba and personally I think thats worse than anger. If Wade steps on toes either in league or in house to try and correct things, so be it.If he wants an assistant coach who can take over from MOS if we struggle in the 1st 8 games so be it.MB shouldhave been sshipped out when we still had a legitimate shot at correcting the ship.Time to push, and maybe he is pushing.

Even the boys on the Big Show were hard on him for it.Westwood in particular was on him for it.It takes alot for the local media to turn on someone.I actually enjoy most of our local sports people.Wicek is the exception. Seems to me to be a very bitter man.He has probably been left far behind his peers as they have moved on and he sit and rots for writing crap like that.
