If Edmonton gets blown out again with a lopsided score.... do the Elks can Jones and try to salvage the season?

I'm right in saying it's not feasible to boycott a country financially to take a stance against them and that we have to be honest with ourselves and realize that as shitty as those countries can be... unfortunately it would take a really great effort to financially separate from them. I have no issues with criticizing and protesting and if their are groups who need money to combat this decision then money should be donated to these folks and feel free to bring awareness for them. I only take issues when people project that they are doing something great to make a difference when in fact they are not doing it at all. I've seen a few times in my life (not saying this particular time) in which terrible people try to portray themselves as holier than thou because they go to Church on the weekend and somehow that negates all the bad behaviour they portray for the rest of the week. Or a more comical example... when I worked at McD's and someone would order 20 nuggets and a Double Quarter Pounder meal and then claim "I'm on a diet so I will get a Diet Coke". So when this silly man says he's going to take a stance against the USA by not visiting them as a tourist but then will spend loads of other money that goes into the USA economy... seems like a hypocrite to me. If one was truly passionate about taking a stance they can cut many more costs going down South if they really wanted to. A whole lot of people are all talk and no action and he's one of them. I'm saying I'm at least honest in saying I couldn't adjust all my purchases so that it would be only from Canada and other "good countries".

I noticed TBurgess gave your post a frowny face. I don't see how anyone can disagree with your statement, it was a very fringe call and one that "could" of impacted the game.

Those passes to Dunbar were really off the mark and that was when he had time in the pocket with nobody on him. Evans definitely didn't like the heat.

I had very few gripes with our play tonight, the 2nd half it seemed like we turned up the intensity in which we didn't see against Ottawa and in the first half. At half time I was thinking at just how few sacks we've had and how we hadn't generated any turnovers at all. I'm glad that the 2nd half showed that we still have it. The running game I am a bit concerned with Brady not being able to gain yards after the initial hit... he's still a question mark IMO. It's not all on him though... our o-line isn't pushing guys forward like they did for the last several seasons. The passing game, I want to see them keep pushing the ball mid - deep down the middle... it was gold all night long. I only groaned late in the 4th quarter before the 2nd INT when they called the screen pass... I can't stand that play it seems to work once every ten times. On defense if they can play with the intensity of how they did in the 2nd half then good thing will come. That 2nd half defense was exactly like the defense from the last 2 seasons in which we just beat the crap out of the opposition and by the end of the game they are worn out and we really start taking over. The best part so far of this weekend is going to be seeing Saskatchewan drop in the power rankings and Winnipeg regaining the #1 spot on all lists!

It's the same with Winnipeg where very few people walk / cycle compared to other much more active large cities. The amount of morbidly obese people in Winnipeg compared to when I lived in Ottawa was staggering. In the States it completely varies based on the city/state. Same goes with inner city vs suburbs. Some of the 'burbs around Minneapolis are absolutely gorgeous with beautiful biking and walking pathways. Inside Minneapolis it's drive/bus all the way. Texas has a much larger amount of people who drive and also indulge in a much more unhealthy diet compared to the West Coast where in certain areas people are very health conscious on diet and exercise. Unfortunately this is spreading to Europe where for the most part everyone used to be healthy and it was hard to find bad food (with exception of England )

1 - Special Teams both Legs and the coverage were lights out. 2 - Demski , I wish he didn't get hurt he was going to have a monster game. 3 - All 3 LBers came alive in the 2nd half and laid some huge hits. HH - I just want recognition for Houston for having a solid game and clearly showing that the issue was with Rose (and his injury) as opposed to a Safety issue. It was also he who popped the ball into Willie's hands for that TD.

Usually on a short week teams are tired in Quarter 3 and 4 and usually the game gets away from them in the 2nd half because of fatigue. Yesterday from the opening kick off the Riders were being completely outclassed and Dandy or whatever the new center had fresh legs and was just a turnstile being pushed around from the start.

I will say that I'm sure glad that the biggest issues locally we have is long wait times at renewing a passport , bus shelters being smashed, and old women on Facebook constantly posting about coyotes and being afraid that they'll eat kids. I can't imagine being an American over the last 5 years.

It always feels like Marino takes 1 - 2 unnecessary roughness penalties per game and usually at the wrong time.

I don't see the panic, sometimes people just have enough money and want to enjoy it with their family and taking it easy. I'm 41 and I'm already dreaming of the days that I can retire and take it easy. I don't understand why TN = Something terrible because a guy wants to relax.

The reason I make these posts is to expose people like yourself who are a hypocrite. If you truly cared you wouldn't be all talk and no action. As a CONSUMER you can easily buy locally made products but you wont because of monetary reasons and convenience. I guranatee you will order off Amazon and buy a tonne of products made in bad countries. I call a spade a spade and you sir are a hypocrite. Nothing wrong with saying what America is doing is trash... but don't pretend you are Mr White Knight when you contribute to the economies of these terrible places and put on a charade that you are going to stand against them. The difference between you and myself is that you are a phoney and I'm honest and real. I am fully aware of the crappy living conditions in China and other countries in which my clothing comes from and I don't revel in the fact that these people make pennies compared to us. Why not? As dumb as that decision was and all the other faults the States has.... I always find it comical that people will say they will never support bad countries... and then yet buy a crap load of products being produced in USA/China and other countries that have done terrible things and who treat their own citizens in inhumane ways.

I just caught the replay of the game now. If I'm a Rider fan I'm scared shitless with how poor that o-line played with only a 3 man rush for the most part. I dislike Fajardo and even I feel bad for the guy because he had zero chance. The few times he did have time the man still can't throw a deep ball for absolute shite. Absolutely ugly passes and his big pass to Wiliams was sheer luck that he caught it. Also several completely unnecessary penalties on the Riders..I thought they were going to clean that up? Terrible special teams play, terrible d-line pressure, terrible coverage... just awful all around. The only positive the Riders had is Hickson runs really hard. The Als looked sharp tonight, Lewis made some circus catches early and that d-line just completely owned the Riders.
