  1. Back when it happened I had said that it shouldn't matter if someone was hurt or not, the act itself is terrible and it is "lucky" that nobody was hurt in the end. I don't care if he was the best or worst player in the team, it's a super selfish and stupid thing to do and far worse IMO then taking PED's. Had he ran over a kid while drunk would people still be saying "Give him a chance and only give him a 1 game suspension because people make mistakes in life". I'm not saying the guy is an evil human and should be jailed for life or anything, but clearly he lacks maturity and character and a real professional wouldn't get themselves in trouble like this. The claims of him winning the Grey Cup on his own is probably a stretch or a reach on his words but "if true" it clearly shows he's a selfish and not a typical O'Shea type player. For once I agree with TBurgess... fans really do turn a blind eye when a member of our team does something scummy (such as drinking and driving) and love to bag on players on other teams when they do similar things. Fortunately for us O'Shea has brought in lots of good guys with character so this is an anomaly and not the norm (unlike the typical Riders or Jones teams of the past).
  2. I criticized his character, people gave him a free pass probably because he was our leading receiver.
  3. I seem to remember people trashing on me when I said the guy was a bum and should of been suspended for the season for drinking and driving.
  4. How can the experts not?
  5. Kids are immune to Baby Shark.... my little one never gets tired of it 😵
  6. Not sure what iccuoati9n means but the Ottawa situation isn't based out of hate. It's based about people thinking about a violation of their own freedoms. It mostly stems from ignorance and selfishness but I wouldn't say it's hate at all. I'd think a world history lesson or even current world events if you were to step out of your bubble and educate yourself about what goes around the world you would ACTUALLY learn what hate is. I'd consider people getting murdered purely based on color of skin/religion and other factors to be true hate crimes. I don't consider a bunch of uninformed yokels honking horns blocking traffic and saying they dont' want to be controlled the same as people living in fear and hiding because they will get beaten or killed. Calling people out on social media seems pretty cowardly and lazy if you truly cared about the situation. Complaining about a situation from a keyboard anonymously seems much less brave then putting yourself out there in the line of fire and standing up for what you believe. While I don't agree or share the same beliefs of those people I can at least understand that the reason that most people are doing what they are doing is because they feel violated. Similar to the BLM events from recent years I'm sure some bad eggs are hopping on and trying to stir **** up or use this event as a reason to be an *******. To paint everyone as a nazi dear lord the amount of ignorance and close mindedness makes me feel like I'm on the Riderfans forum. It's almost like I'm talking from someone in the Bible Belt Winkler area... that's what it seems like? Very similar close minded mentality but this time on the opposite end of the spectrum that some folks in the Bible Belt think like.
  7. The narrative was that our new DB's last season were going to be a liability because of a few blown spots in the first game. That quickly changed.
  8. If you were to go to a parade (say the Flames won the Stanley Cup) and saw someone acting like a racist or claimed they were a Neo Nazi. What would you do? Would you start throwing fists? What if security does nothing? Would you leave because of one person who is making an idiot of themselves? Are all the people who are at the parade now deemed racists nazis because they didn't physically grab the guy and unlawfully tossed him out?
  9. It shows that you and him are reaching very hard to make an argument that is it. I'm sorry if you guys live such miserable lives that you have so much hate that you believe everyone is a nazi. I'm not a religious person but maybe you guys should go to church or find something in which will help remove the bitterness and hatred from within because the tunnel vision or close mindedness is extremely apparent. The point with Trudeau is that I can say he's a racist because what he did was in bad faith and his apologies years later was not made in good faith. You have zero proof that I am incorrect therefore I can label anyone who voted Liberal as a racist. Personally I don't think he is a racist but many people do so who is to say that these folks are wrong? You make fun of me saying this but are completely oblivious at the fact that JCOn and I guess yourself are doing the EXACT same stretch of accusations by calling people Nazis. I feel sorry for you guys and hope that one day you can have an open mind and not tunnel in on the hate so much. It's sad.
  10. It shows how ridiculous his statement is.
  11. Did you vote for Trudeau? Can I call you a racist then since he donned the black face?
  12. I'm assuming Edmonton is more of the loud bad locker room ego driven team these days?
  13. Agreed , my main point was JCON was calling everyone a Nazi and my opinion is that no this is not true. A small minority are legit Nazi sympathizers but most of them are just misguided fools. Why these misguided fools are not attacking the Nazi sympathizers, maybe because they are cowards? Maybe because they are sheep? Maybe they are not self-aware? Maybe they believe in people being allowed to speak their mind? Most likely they don't want to create a fight? No idea but I wouldn't call these other folks as people who want to wear SS uniforms and doing Hitler cosplay.
  14. I don't care if people **** on my hopes here.... I hope Edmonton gets absolutely trounced this season and want them in dead last place more so then the Riders. The sooner Jones and the knobs are gone the better.
  15. Why not? We ran the ball perfectly fine with Brady and Augustine and it's not like Lawler was the only guy who was catching balls. Also why look at it with the cup half empty, OIiveria was player of the week in his very first start who is to say that he doesn't improve from last year and performs even better?
  16. Super ignorant comment shame on you. Seriously you make light of Nazis and throw that word on anything. Its as stupid as saying that anyone who voted for Trump is 100% racist/nazi/criminal horrible human. If you think that way then I truly feel sorry for you.
  17. You are saying every protestor is a nazi? Come on now. Misguided and uninformed maybe. but calling people a Nazi truly shows how ignorant you are. You shouldn't use terms like that so loosely and to accuse everyone of being a Nazi is terrible. Shame on you.
  18. Once again... why focus on the 0.0000001 % of the population? Why give those idiots attention or relevance?
  19. Wilder Jr really thinks highly of himself doesn't he.
  20. That guy was greeeeeeeeeeeeeasy. Defended some truly evil people.
  21. Someone here was wondering who to put on a new Blue Bomber jersey. Alexander is a good choice IMO.
  22. My mini rant/opinions: I've known 5 different sets of people who were double/triple vaxxed and were very cautious and still somehow ended up with COVID. All recovered fine and moved on with life. This isn't about truckers or nazi or whatever weird comments were above. It's so easy for people to throw stones and say stay at home for another 2 years and do what's right when they have cushy jobs that allow them to stay at home and live that life. I feel mostly sorry for the folks who have lost their jobs and the other ones struggling to get by because hours have been slashed, I've lived pay cheque to pay cheque back when I was young and believe me it was stressful, I couldn't imagine doing the same now with a house/wife/kids now to deal with. I feel for those who have suffered mental health issues (kids and adults) for being isolated and just because you can be alone in a house for weeks on end, not everyone is constructed the same way and some are dealing with massive mental health issues. Some people live in distorted reality in which money can be printed and given out with no consequences, this isn't the reality of the world. At some point the world needs to move on. People **** on certain political parties, sure the NDP talks a big game now but if they were in charge and facing the kind of pressures that the Liberals/PC currently are they most definitely would be doing the same thing. It's easy to talk big when you don't have the consequences to deal with. Maybe look around the world and see what other countries are doing, most are moving on with life. I think the people complaining simply are entitled and live in a bubble / safe space and think that they deserve to be living in a Utopian society where we can't possibly have to live in a world that faces adversity. I agree that the current situation with ICU and our whole medical system is not where it should be. Things should of been changed and if not should be in the process of changing on a Federal and Provincial level. However the reality is that this requires a tonne of money so you have these options: 1 - Eliminate free medical care and go fully private 2 - Increase taxes heavily to off set costs. 3 - Roll with what we have in which we don't increase taxes heavily to off set costs and just deal with poor services. 4 - Do not increase taxes and create a massive debt for future generations to deal with If you are scared to go out, then be thankful that in todays world you could order basically anything you want online both groceries and products and that you have that option of staying home and staying safe. You are allowed to wear a mask in public even after the mandate has ended. Maybe reflect and instead of focusing on the 0.005% trouble markers in protests and maybe your own beliefs as well... maybe consider the 99.9% of the poputation of the country who may think differently. The vast majority of the population support moving on. This is coming from a white guy with lots of money who works out of home and has no financial issues and loves to stay at home and play video games and not go out. If someone like me can not think selflishly for himself then surely the naysayers can as well. Just my opinions,
  23. That might be the biggest signing in the off season. Huge signing and 2 years also@!!
  24. Harris has a sense of entitlement and unfortunately for him being 35 and coming off injuries and having 2 guys younger/cheaper/healthier he had zero leverage. Things can end really quickly... look at Charles Roberts. This is the life of a pro athlete and even more so at a position where the shelf life is usually far shorter then other positions.
  25. I thought he claimed that the other RB's were offered more money. I'm guessing a low base salary and it adding up with milestone bonuses and no signing bonus. It's disappointing that he has to complain meanwhile Trevor Harris who is a bonafide starter signs an offer that is 1/3 of what he could/should be getting and we hear no complaints.
