Comparing Elliott to Pierce is laughable. Elliott wasn't even close. Pierce wins games, Elliott loses them. It's not a coincidence. If it had been Pierce coming in in relief he would not have gone 2-7, and that's really all there is to it.

Pierce, when healthy, is a better QB than Glenn. That's why even with the success Glenn has had, teams can't wait to get rid of him or relegate him to a backup role. Meanwhile Pierce can barely stay healthy two weeks in a row and has been a starter since his second year in the league.

Fair enough. I don't know what Ottawa's strategy is going to be for this expansion draft, but if it were me I'd be going after established veteran Canadians rather than prospects, even if they are a little older. They will have 7 picks in the 2014 CFL draft and the 4 guys from the 2013 draft as well. They will have plenty of young talent to work with right off the bat if they draft well. What they need from the expansion draft is proven guys who can fill the starting roles, even if it's just for a couple years.

How quickly we forget Alexis Serna and Troy Westwood. Yes there's a lot of good kickers in the league right now but that doesn't mean we can just pull one out of our asses on command. We could lose a starting OL or a starting receiver and have a guy step in right away with the prospects we have. Kicker, I'm not so sure.

Pontbriand, Renaud, H. Muamba, Etienne, Labbe, and Kowalczuk are all in their final year. There are probably more but those 6 are for sure.
