  1. Very good write up. I tried to "Like" it but apparently I've hit my Like quota for the day. The Man doesn't want me to Like anything else for awhile. I actually think Ricardo Colclough is going to be very good for them at SAM, he impressed me last year, he's a player for sure.
  2. Matthews is still questionable for the game, I think.
  3. I'm guessing the 4-man is Douglas, Kowalczuk, Anderson/Matthews, and Markett. McGee can play multiple spots, will likely be more valuable than Markett as the DI.
  4. Yes they are at strong side (field) corner and half but they always have been. Hef played weak-side (boundary) halfback, Jovon is the boundary corner.
  5. Trial by fire for sure. The funny thing is, with almost two full pre-season games under his belt at nickel, Desia Dunn has more game-time than any of our other starters thus far... hopefully that helps.
  6. http://cfl.uploads.mrx.ca/wpg/pdf/depth/2013/Depth062837.pdf No real surprises, of course.... Sherman makes it onto the 46...
  7. no kidding... Taylor Inglis was great for us.
  8. I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed with Washington. Hefney leaves some big shoes to fill but I'm pretty sure that's one spot where we're going to be okay. Parker was good on special teams when he got in last year but he didn't play much on defence so it's hard to know how he will do. However I think it was a big mistake not taking him to Hamilton, even if he had already won the job. If anyone needs the reps, it's him.
  9. This just proves the point even further. Players can be good with one team and terrible on another. Geez nothing gets by you does it?
  10. Maybe or maybe not, but don't act like you know anything about it, because you have no idea.
  11. This will make winning all the more satisfying. I love being the bad guy. **** the old boys CFL fraternity, they need to have it shoved in their face for once.
  12. Interesting stuff although I would argue that Billy Parker was Montreal's best DB last season. Looking forward to the next post.
  13. The best was when he'd go into a big clump of linemen, disappear, and somehow come shooting out the other side
  14. Russ Hobson ‏@russ_sportsguy6m #Bombers receiver Chris Matthews upgraded to "slightly probable" according to head coach Tim Burke. Will be a game time decision.
  15. Also true. Having Labbe and Dustin Doe in at linebacker was not helping.
  16. Edwards claims he's feeling good after getting surgery on the foot that has been bothering him for two seasons now... we'll see. I'm not convinced Pierce is actually injured. But I agree, it is looking a little thin. We may end up with Etienne - Anderson - Edwards - Denmark all starting at the same time. Definitely not physically imposing... lots of speed though. Luckily Watson seems healthy, he adds some needed toughness.
  17. Then I guess we'll find out real soon if our guys are ready or not
  18. All we ever heard about Kashama is that the WBB management didn't agree with him/his agent on his pricetag... maybe Kashama's camp was being stubborn on the price and the Bombers are still willing to talk if he lowers it? I don't know, it's all speculation.
  19. Etienne starting, Kohlert in the lineup but will be limited because he is recovering from a pulled hamstring.
  20. The Argos could activate Antwi if they really don't want to lose him. Kashama is an interesting point... forgot about him, I wonder what's going on there.
  21. Hugo Lopez was my first thought as well... Antwi appears to be on T.O.'s practice roster but I suppose we could try to take him if we really wanted him.
  22. Roster explosion? 4 rookies made the team... I don't really call that a roster explosion.
  23. Fred Stamps
  24. Coaching staff went to New Orleans this off-season to study and improve their offence, specifically the play-action aspect of the offence. Anthony Woodson will be the primary Canadian backup RB, very involved on special teams, can fill in at receiver. The OL all came into camp in great shape, showing great discipline because "sometimes those big guys see a buffet and just go nuts". Depending on how Etienne plays, Poblah could have trouble regaining his starting spot. Punt returners: Jovon Johnson, Demond Washington. Kick returners: Will Ford, Chad Simpson.
