How do you know he's going to get better? People around here seem to think that all you need to make a good QB is a warm body and a couple years of development time. Well sometimes guys just don't get any better no matter how much time you give them.

Well for example, you make a big point of noting that Buck had a half with -7 yards offence total outside of a 92 yard TD drive (85 yards for the half then), but don't mention that Goltz had an even worse half that resulted in 3 points and 68 yards total.

Goltz has had a pretty poor second half too (yardage is by possession, not just passing): 14 yards, 14 yards, -3 yards (2 and out), 3 yards(2 and out), 4 yards(2 and out), 30 yards (27 yard P.I. penalty, field goal), 9 yards (3 and out), -3 yards (got a first down then went 3 and out with a 12 yard loss on a sack). Not saying Pierce should be ahead of Goltz, just that Goltz hasn't really done himself any favours with his own play.

Prediction: we win this game, Hall starts and loses the next 3, and we go back to Buck for the home-and-home with Edmonton.

It's only been 4 days since Mack was fired. The moves are just beginning.

He was on his second contract so it was probably higher than the minimum, albeit not by much. We've got two other import running backs, no reason to spend the salary on a third on the IR if we could use it in other areas. I know Joe Mack really liked him so that might be why he stuck around as long as he did.

Yeah, it's still Crowton. But I don't think there's any guarantee that he keeps that job.

He'll probably wait and try to get a new deal before exploring a CFL return. The Pats did give a signing bonus so there were likely other teams interested. Whether they are still interested... I guess we'll find out.

I'd welcome him back. We haven't really been able to nail down that DI defensive end that we would like to have... might not be a bad thing to go back to the Vega/Mainor rotation. He was also a leader on the defence, which could be helpful.

Maybe, but crying to the media isn't going to get him his job back. In fact it will probably have a negative effect.

I doubt he'll be out for the season. Just put a cast on it and let him play.

Wrong, he was the leading candidate for the Hamilton job if Cortez had not become available.

I don't know, I think Marcel squeezed just about as much as he could out of the "Talent" he had to work with.

I don't want Tate, and I doubt Toronto would consider protecting Collaros over Ray. Therefore Toronto might want to get something for Collaros rather than losing him in the expansion draft. As for when, it's hard to say. One thing I would consider is that it is difficult for a QB to come in mid-season and have success, especially a young guy. But that doesn't mean we can't bring him in. So anytime between now and the roster freeze, I would go for Collaros.

I don't think it's fair to say that definitively. But it's a possibility.
