Fair point but the difference is that Burke was asked about those guys, and everyone knew they had played poorly. There's no covering up a returner fumbling twice or a QB throwing multiple redzone interceptions. Nobody asked Hervey about Rottier and the average fan probably has no idea whether Rottier played poorly in relation to the rest of the offensive line. Hervey made a point of singling out Rottier when no one had ever asked about him. Not trying to excuse Burke here, just pointing out the difference between the two situations.

Last time Burke mentioned Bo Smith, he said he was still behind Markett and McGee on the depth chart. That was a couple weeks ago though. I think he's more of a depth pickup than anything... Markett had a pretty rough time in his first real play time at halfback so it was probably a good idea to bring in a vet as insurance in case Markett didn't develop quick enough. I doubt Smith sees the field unless there's a couple injuries.

Johnson's okay. I'd like to see Washington get a little more work there though.

Just doesn't make sense. You can't drop a guy in to play centre who hasn't been here all season. Sorensen was bad enough at tackle and guard that BC cut him when they were literally running out of NI's, Wally commented that he can't move his feet well enough to play in the league. Parenteau is brutal at snapping the ball, last thing you need a shaky QB worrying about, and it's not just snapping it on the turf or over his head, putting it too low or too high but into his body throws everything off too. We'd immediately be weaker at two positions. Damn you and your logic

DelMonaco loves Sorensen. That's why I think they might move him out to the right side, either as a guard or tackle, to stabilize things over there.

I don't think Foster will draw into the starting lineup right away. Our Canadian receivers have trouble staying healthy so I'm sure he'll work his way in naturally.

Ford had a 2.9 yard average in the Banjo Bowl. I liked that we used Volny at the beginning of the game, not sure why we never went back to him.
