  1. I got on the bus at Woodhaven in St James around 5 35 or 5 40 and walked into the stadium about 10 minutes before they sang the anthem. Really wasn't that bad. They just need more buses because ours filled up with several stops remaining so we couldn't pick up anyone else. Easy fix.
  2. Probably not but in all likelihood the majority of snaps throughout the season will be taken by QBs other than Pierce so it's not a terrible idea to get them as much experience as possible, considering they all seem to have a ways to go.
  3. Apparently 8000+ transit riders compared to the expected 5200
  4. Don't worry you're in good hands, apparently they're all absolutely fantastic.
  5. Thoughts: Traffic plan needs work. Our blue n gold express bus was full after the first 2 out of 6 planned stops. Good job getting us out quick after the game though. I liked Wendell Brown, Marty Markett, and Ryan Lucas on defence. Everyone else sucked royally. Also Anthony Woodson is our second best running back and making a push for number one since Simpson decided it would be a good idea to gain 10 pounds so he could run slower and get less yards per rush. Odd decision but he's the pro I guess? Offence looked terrible. Pierce goes 0/5 are you kidding me? Maybe they should give some first team reps to their first team qb in practice... Just a thought. Concessions were unbearably slow. True North pays people to run their concessions, Bombers have volunteers (i.e. seniors from some ridiculous club) running the concessions. Seriously this guy couldn't even read the numbers on the cash register. It was bad. Missed 12 minutes of the third quarter waiting in line... Nice tv's on the columns at least. Massey looked good returning. Renaud punted 6 out of 8 punts and looked good. Hutchison and Cameron got the other two. So much for evaluation? The job is Renaud's. Palardy looked like Palardy.... Misses ugly ones sometimes but will otherwise do an adequate job... Not that it matters since no one is competing with him for the job. Overall I thought the team looked awful. Poorly prepared and completely disorganized. The atmosphere sucked because nobody cared and everyone stays in the concourse rather than sitting in their seats. The guy on the mic was AWFUL, oh man did he ever suck... See ya later pal, you win 0 dollars and a lifetime of shame. I thought Clement looked like he was the better QB out of Hall and himself. Hall looked better in camp but Clement is far more mobile and seemingly just as accurate as Hall when the lights come on. Hall had a LOT of chances to do something and he never did. Etienne was our leading receiver with 2 catches for 31 yards.
  6. Traffic is hIlariously bad. People are going to be freaking out lol
  7. It may also be because the Bombers are virtually silent in this city, unless you are a regular CJOB listener. I doubt most people even knew there was a game tonight. The Bombers rely on the press to get the word out rather than advertising. And the press shits on the Bombers on a daily basis so I don't find it all that surprising.
  8. Actually he is in junior, not CIS. Pretty sure he can go back but I bet they keep him on the practice roster with the big club.
  9. As for images, if you just right click on them and click "Copy" or "Copy Image" (not Copy Image URL) and then right click and "Paste" in the reply box, the image should just automatically be copied into the reply.

  11. I enjoyed the car crashes. Here's some talking animals.
  12. A 2009 review published in the American Journal of Addiction concluded that driving high is likely less dangerous than driving drunk, and a recent investigation by the Institue for the Study of Labor found that the legalization of medical marijuana in the United States has been linked to a dramatic decrease in traffic fatalities. That said, a study published last year in the British Medical Journal concluded that smoking pot within few hours of driving is still associated with a nearly two-fold risk of being involved in a serious car crash

  14. I'm not so sure he actually has to go to court. Kirk Penton uploaded a picture of the police report and the last line is "Case closed by issuance of ticket." That doesn't sound like he's going to have to deal with this any further. http://blogs.canoe.ca/bomberbeat/general/is-this-the-end-for-jonathan-hefney/
  15. With a few exceptions, the names of baseball teams have never seemed very satisfactory to me. Three of them, the Orioles, the Cardinals and the Blue Jays, are named after birds. Why, for goodness sake? Are there more cardinals in St. Louis than in Baltimore? The St. Louis football team was also called the Cardinals, which I'm sure sports editors found inexcusable. It's not even short. When baseball was first organized, two of the teams named themselves after the colour of their socks, the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox. I suppose you've got to name a team something. The thing that bothers me the most about the team names in all areas of sport is their inconsistency. What sense does it make to have the Orioles playing the Tigers? The symbolism is all wrong. You just can't visualize an animal like a tiger playing with a bird like an oriole. Neither are the Pirates apt to have played with the Indians, and I can't imagine the Astros playing with the Braves either. These are apples playing with oranges. Naming a team is like naming a child, I suppose. Once you've done it, the name and personality of the child or the team take on each other's qualities and become indistinguishable. That's what allows any of us to get to like someone whose name we never cared for. The name is dominated by the personality so that the name takes on a new meaning of its own for us.
  16. Bombers didn't find out til late this afternoon - Burke on CJOB
  17. Here's the story: Sounds like it's not a big deal. And the CFL drug policy does not mention marijuana. So of course this is going to blow up like crazy.
  18. I don't think walk up sales will be as strong at IGF initially. If the team isn't winning, I could see only 2 or 3 sellouts.
