  1. All children who wet the bed or start fires should then be incarcerated for life. Can't risk them becoming serial killers.
  2. I'm a Manitoban originally just like you.... You're in Olds, AB, right? I don't like hangings but I do think the kid who set the fire needs to be held more accountable. As far as the kid who stabbed a stranger in calgary, it really wasn't meant to be a comparison at all. Just brought it up as it was newsworthy & definitly shocking. People here are saying that jail does not work. That incarceration teaches kids to be criminal. That it hardens them as they get older so they reoffend. So, my question was, if you read my original post about that boy who knifed the stranger was.... what do people here think the justice system should do with him if they believe jail time does not work? It doesn't have to be "No jail for anyone" vs. "Jail for everyone". Sometimes jail is the right choice and sometimes not.
  3. Not sure but prolly sometime between Mike Kelly and Joe Mack ... she was very quiet about it cause I never knew. I feel so betrayed Sounds like a bandwagon jumper to me ! Guess she's not one of those fans who sticks through rough stretches. She'll fit in just fine in "Rider Nation"!
  4. Raising the bar big time!!
  5. Big difference between lighting a fire and having it spread out of control versus stabbing an innocent man to death. Jail is obviously appropriate in that case. What if that kid who set fire used bad judgement & set a building on fire resulting in loss of life? The 15 year od who stabbed that poor guy. It could have been any of us. Or a loved one. Guy went shopping on a Friday night & never came home. Think about that. 1. Yes he used bad judgement, but there was no loss of life, so you can't punish him for that. Do you punish everyone who drives above the speed limit as if they are a murderer?? That could result in loss of life as well.2. What does the 15 year old who stabbed a guy have to do with any of this??? Yes he deserves jail. Should I say it a third time?
  6. No more ridiculous than believing that being completely honest will make the team better. What Mike O'Shea says in the media is totally irrelevant to how the team performs on the field. What exactly is the point you are trying to make here?

  8. I'm assuming some tickets are still held back so the number remaining is probably a little higher than that... still that is looking like a pretty good turn out considering we heard just last week that ticket sales were hovering around 24000. It seems all sections are open except for a few which are clearly sold. I'm not so sure there are tickets held back. Take a look now... I'm on my phone. How does it look now? Tons of seats available. The entire north endzone is basically empty.

  10. There is no way Calgary would let Peach go. I'm sorry to disappoint everyone but they would dress 7 OL and stick someone else on the IR before they would ever let Peach go. In fact that is probably the case with most practice roster players. Teams don't like to let their assets go for nothing, especially good Canadian OL prospects.
  11. Oh who didn't like some fires when they were a kid. Boys will be boys.
  12. I don't know what to expect out of Edmonton. I feel like they didn't really add any talent in the offseason, other than Pat Watkins, and they lost Ted Laurent. Are they trying to sell the idea that the team was 4-14 based purely on coaching? Should be interesting to see how it turns out there.
  13. Probably Darian Durant
  14. I did... how could you not??? I had a hell of a time getting under the cap
  15. Apparently Stegall and Onterio Smith are no longer active players in the CFL. There goes my first two choices. Fine then, Steele seems like a money bet, but I'll gladly be wrong. Stegall works for TSN now. So he'll be at the game? I'm sticking with my first choice! He did score a TD in game one last season...
  16. You are just okay with this signing but Romby Bryant come on down? Bryant has accomplished far more in his CFL career than Hinse likely ever will So has Jackie Parker but he's dead. OK but I don't see us starting a dead guy anytime soon.

  20. Burke probably has a good sense of what Marcel Bellefeuille is going to try to do.
  21. I truly believe Winnipeg will. If you go through Ottawa's roster, they have some serious holes. They have some Canadian depth on the lines and a good quarterback, but other than that I still have a lot of doubts. Their secondary will consist of Jovon Johnson and Seth Williams, along with a couple CFL rookies. Their receiving corps is by far the least impressive in the league. They have 34 year old TJ Hill at linebacker who may or may not have much game left in him, along with a couple more rookies. Even Chevon Walker is a big question mark as a starting RB. Their lineup is just way too green. Unless Desjardins has compiled the most impressive group of new import talent the CFL has seen in years (and I don't think he has), I feel that they will struggle in many games, especially to start the season. Don't get me wrong, Winnipeg has a lot of question marks of their own, but I still think they are better off than Ottawa.
