Like everyone has said, if they get both right, they get a third. If the refs are blowing more than 3 calls per game, the focus should be on fixing that, not adding more challenges.

I don't see anyone making a trade before the season. I think that time has passed for most teams. They may continue to look but I believe Kane will be a Jet at least until the trade deadline.

If I know Brink, he is going to throw a couple garbage time touchdowns right away, but still lose the game.

I didn't think Smith's start was that bad. To me it looks like they were ready to put Brink in at the first sign of trouble. They should have just started Brink if that was going to be the case.

Maybe he can get his career back on track. This was a necessary depth move, and I love the two-way contract. Realistically, he and Dustin Penner were the only two legitimate left wings remaining on the market so I'm glad we made this move.

I do not take any delight in this. Makes the league as a whole look bad. They need to get into Tim Hortons Field as soon as they possibly can.

If it works, it's a good play call. Can't call the high-percentage play every time.

Wondering if they stick with Goossen or throw Knapp back into the mix. Is Knapp even healthy right now? I'd really like to see them give Goossen a shot at a full game. I know they are wary of stunting his development, but it looks like he is ready. Gotta give the kid a chance.

Taking both "underdogs" tonight. MTL over TOR and BC over CGY. Like you said, I believe that Bo Levi's luck is about to run out, and BC is likely to be fired up. Also, don't underestimate the impact of Ricky Schmitt returning to the lineup... having McCallum punt and kickoff was killing them. Montreal, I believe they will ride Whitaker to victory. I have zero confidence in Toronto's defence.
