Yeah they're managing the cap well but its never as simple as making a couple draft picks and then being set for a decade. There will be more draft picks to come, some players won't pan out, some will want more money than we're willing to pay. Realistically in today's NHL you can pick 4 or 5 guys you want to build around and then the rest of the roster is fluid from year to year.

No. No one gives up roster players in exchange for rentals. It's always prospects and draft picks. In trading Frolik there is literally zero chance that we would have got a better player back.

I wouldn't be crying any tears if we ended up with either one of Hanifin or Strome. If we move Morrissey for #3 then it's gotta be Hanifin, otherwise I'm not sure. I like both.

I think JFG showed flashes of star power with his clutch catches last year and his everyday performance at training camp this year. I have high expectations for him this season. 600+ yards, 5+ TDs. Still not blowing the roof off, but enough to prove that he's a legitimate starting NI receiver.

Very few were from the new rules. I think there were two illegal contact penalties. The rest were mostly holding, offside, and illegal blocks.
