  1. I like Thomas but I also find it odd that we've never even tried to push or even replace him. Since Thomas was drafted in 2012 we have only drafted two DL - Mulumba and Ettore Lattanzio who we tried to convert to a FB, then cut, and who is now getting sacks for Ottawa.
  2. Lol! Is he a politician?? Or just an angry old guy? That was too funny.
  3. Yup. Journeyman AHL'er who fills in nicely on the 4th everytime he's been called up. Is playing 3-4 minutes a night "filling in nicely"?? Lol.
  4. I think comparing Goossen and Chungh would be valid. Chungh is not yet a dominant player by any means, yet he was deemed good enough to start right out of the draft, but Goossen is still not ready for prime time. So what does that say about him? It says he is not as good as Chungh.
  5. Ricky Ray can't even play yet and no guarantee he will be able to this season.
  6. The problem is the Riders is not winning. At least the Bombers is sitting at 3rd in the West. So you think he would rather be depth on a winning club than starting on a losing one? Do you see why that makes no sense? He just left that situation.
  7. Neufeld and Tyler are both hurt. Options are Corey Lewis, who is probably the number one option, or I guess Greaves with Goossen at guard but then you have Griffiths one injury away from starting. That's too bad, Daniels was definitely our best option there.
  8. Riders seems like the best fit because he would get a starting shot there.
  9. So I wonder who signs him? He obviously doesn't want to be depth. I don't see the Bombers giving up on Hurl for an American like Simmons. Does anyone need a starting LB right now? Simmons is either going to be on the street or in the same situation he was in with the Stamps, IMO.
  10. I thought I just did... No you didn't. You said he needs to gain experience in the AHL. Sure, OK, maybe. But a year or two in the AHL isn't going to put 20 pounds on his frame. He doesn't gain anything from playing against players like that. You think Scheifele wouldn't be getting thrown around if he had played in the AHL first? It really makes no difference. As for whoever commented on his defensive game needing work... Have you ever watched him play? He is a far more complete player than Ehlers at this point.
  11. Explain to me what it means to "learn to play against men" lol. It's a media platitude and nothing more.
  12. Petan will come to camp and instantly be one of our top 3 or 4 playmaking forwards. He would be on the second power play unit right away. Tough to ignore that kind of talent. Not sure what "learning how to play against bigger men" means. That must be a media thing. Petan has been playing against bigger players his whole life, and dominating. I'd say he's even more ready for the NHL than Ehlers.
  13. How much can you really expect from a guy who is puking his guts out on the sideline??? We won't know for a few more weeks what we really have in Rowdy Robbie Marve.
  14. I don't want another housecleaning. Marve is going to win some games.
  15. Special teams TD was the killer. Can't have these breakdowns every week. Can't have em dammit!!!!!
  16. Lol thanks Goalie. Lots of good highlights for the next edition.
  17. He should be well-rested then.
  18. 226 views on this bad boy on Youtube. I'd say that's a rousing success. If you want to get pumped for the game tonight, watch this video. Trust me.
  19. Stoudermire appears to have a long leash but if he has any major **** ups this week he will be out... definitely.
  20. By god I think gbill's got it. Moore was out and the backup slot is Veltung. Adams is out and the backup WR is Gordon. Soblem Prolved.
  21. Who cares how bad the media hurts his feelings. As the leader of the country, he shouldn't be allowed to hide from questions he doesn't want to answer. I don't care so much about not answering media questions, it's the muzzling of scientists that bothers me. That seems to be going too far. But again, one small part of the overall picture of Harper the PM.
  22. Lol that's like quoting the Sun on a Trudeau article. NYT openly leans to the left. you might want to look into that a little bit. New York Times was the number one cheerleader of the invasion of iraq. They actually had an editorial apology for their role in that invasion. pretty sure that is not one of the invasions lefties like. their main opinion writer is friedman, who is not even slightly "left " The New York times is not left at all. In fact it's despised by most left thinkers. aside from that, did you read the article, and if you did, are there errors of fact in it? I haven't read the article, and have no opinion on it. Well that's the thing isn't it? The article is just pointing out what has already happened and is happening now. Ther is nothing in there that is flattering because ther is nothing in there to be flattered about. It really doesn't matter who wrote it, it's making people aware that, right now we don't have a very good PM, in fact, he could go down as one of the worst. As to it being in a left leaning news source? How else would that info come out. It's not like the right leaning papers would want to revisit this stuff. Interesting that you totally miss the point of what it means to be biased. Maybe I can come up with a pun so that you can relate a little better. Give me some time.
  23. pretty vague statement in response to some specific examples. don't you think? anyway, unimportant. CNN: So let’s dive right in. The loudest criticism that we often hear about “The New York Times” — I don’t know if it’s the most frequent but it’s certainly the loudest, is that it has a liberal bias. Does it? MARGARET SULLIVAN, PUBLIC EDITOR, THE NEW YORK TIMES: Well, some of my predecessors have taken that head-on. In fact, Daniel Okrent, the first public editor, once wrote a column — and I think the headline said something like “Is ‘The Times’ a Liberal Newspaper?” And his answer in the lead was, of course it is. And he went on from there. And it got quite a bit of response. I mean, that is obviously something people feel about The Times, and I think maybe the best way to think about it is that The Times reflects its readership, its community. It’s an urban paper; it’s a New York City paper. I mean that’s a reasonable criticism, I think. CNN: So it is a yes? SULLIVAN: It’s a modified “yes,” with a lot of nuance in it.
  24. Lol that's like quoting the Sun on a Trudeau article. NYT openly leans to the left. I don't know about the Sun comparison, but I realize they're left leaning. Regardless, I thought it was an interesting perspective from somebody outside of Canada. A look into the image we're presenting to the world. It's written by someone in Toronto. Well, never mind then... It's not a bad article really, it makes a lot of good points. I feel the same way about Harper to be honest. The clampdown on information can only be regarded as a bad thing. But that's only one piece of the picture.
  25. Lol that's like quoting the Sun on a Trudeau article. NYT openly leans to the left. you might want to look into that a little bit. New York Times was the number one cheerleader of the invasion of iraq. They actually had an editorial apology for their role in that invasion. their main opinion writer is friedman, who is not even slightly "left " My friend, NYT is widely regarded as a left-wing outlet. Doesn't mean every opinion they ever print will align with a liberal point of view. I'm also not trying to say they are wrong in what they wrote. I'm just saying, if I told you the Sun printed something about Trudeau and it makes him look bad... well of course they did.
