  1. how big is whatshisface, that insane guy who played in BC/TO/MTL and liked to straight up hurt people.......?? He was huge but got the job done.... Khalif Mitchell... Yeah he was definitely 300+. More of the exception than the norm, though. Maybe Bilukidi can play at that weight but I imagine he would trim down if he knew he was going to be in the CFL next year.
  2. Bilukidi is also 325 pounds so good luck playing in a CFL defence right away
  3. Hard to really avoid putting the title on anyone not on the o-line. Removing Bucknor would have a lesser impact in the game than removing Picard or Neufeld. But that's as I said before a function of an attention grabbing spot vs. a spot that you can traditionally hide a weaker player in. Doesn't mean the guy in the hidden spot is better, just that it's less obvious on a play to play basis. I also believe it's a function of the OL struggling as a group where as the secondary outside of Bucknor is pretty ******* good. "Traditionally" maybe you do hide a weaker player at Bucknor's position, but does that put him in the weakest player category by default? I'll concede that Picard is in a more obvious, and more scrutinized position, but his gaffes have been more costly to the team than anything that Bucknor has done. Really? Cause Bucknor getting picked on has lead to a bunch of TD and 2 point converts being given up. The guy was **** last year too but he made a lot of tackles so people mistakenly thought that was good. No it just means teams were picking on him. Clueless
  4. He's 33 but he has still put up 5 sacks in 6 games this year... seems really odd that they want to hold him out of the lineup, with all the other struggles they're having.
  5. Bad move
  6. Uhhh it has been different. He's working out just fine. He's had some bad games but on the whole has been a pretty decent Canadian starter for us. Started 25 straight games now if I'm not mistaken.
  7. Gotta be the OL. Greaves, Neufeld, Picard, just pick one. Chungh has been great considering he is a rare rookie Canadian starter but come on he's had some blowups too. I like Bucknor, I think he does an ok job as a field corner. And an "ok job" is better than what we're getting from the OL.
  8. Surely you don't actually believe that
  9. @PentonKirk: Jasper Simmons' agent won't confirm #Bombers are in mix. All Sammy Gahagan says is "multiple teams" have contacted him.
  10. To be fair, he has one sack for Ottawa. A meaningless one late in a blowout game. Yeah but my point sounded stronger the way I said it.
  11. She has no qualifications!!!!
  12. Should change the laws and allow Arnold to run.
  13. Yeah never understood that either. If you're good in overtime shootouts chances are you got the talent for a regular shift. On the other hand he;s on a new team every year it seems. More than one team per year really. Must be something the coaches don't like about his game.
  14. I like Thomas but I also find it odd that we've never even tried to push or even replace him. Since Thomas was drafted in 2012 we have only drafted two DL - Mulumba and Ettore Lattanzio who we tried to convert to a FB, then cut, and who is now getting sacks for Ottawa.
  15. Lol! Is he a politician?? Or just an angry old guy? That was too funny.
  16. Yup. Journeyman AHL'er who fills in nicely on the 4th everytime he's been called up. Is playing 3-4 minutes a night "filling in nicely"?? Lol.
  17. I think comparing Goossen and Chungh would be valid. Chungh is not yet a dominant player by any means, yet he was deemed good enough to start right out of the draft, but Goossen is still not ready for prime time. So what does that say about him? It says he is not as good as Chungh.
  18. Ricky Ray can't even play yet and no guarantee he will be able to this season.
  19. The problem is the Riders is not winning. At least the Bombers is sitting at 3rd in the West. So you think he would rather be depth on a winning club than starting on a losing one? Do you see why that makes no sense? He just left that situation.
  20. Neufeld and Tyler are both hurt. Options are Corey Lewis, who is probably the number one option, or I guess Greaves with Goossen at guard but then you have Griffiths one injury away from starting. That's too bad, Daniels was definitely our best option there.
  21. Riders seems like the best fit because he would get a starting shot there.
  22. So I wonder who signs him? He obviously doesn't want to be depth. I don't see the Bombers giving up on Hurl for an American like Simmons. Does anyone need a starting LB right now? Simmons is either going to be on the street or in the same situation he was in with the Stamps, IMO.
  23. I thought I just did... No you didn't. You said he needs to gain experience in the AHL. Sure, OK, maybe. But a year or two in the AHL isn't going to put 20 pounds on his frame. He doesn't gain anything from playing against players like that. You think Scheifele wouldn't be getting thrown around if he had played in the AHL first? It really makes no difference. As for whoever commented on his defensive game needing work... Have you ever watched him play? He is a far more complete player than Ehlers at this point.
  24. Explain to me what it means to "learn to play against men" lol. It's a media platitude and nothing more.
  25. Petan will come to camp and instantly be one of our top 3 or 4 playmaking forwards. He would be on the second power play unit right away. Tough to ignore that kind of talent. Not sure what "learning how to play against bigger men" means. That must be a media thing. Petan has been playing against bigger players his whole life, and dominating. I'd say he's even more ready for the NHL than Ehlers.
